We now know the name of the Chinese defector who has been working with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) for a few months and what his position within the Chinese military and government was, among other details...
Dong Jingwei is, or was, a longtime official in China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS), also known as the Guoanbu. His publicly available background indicates that he was responsible for the Ministry’s counterintelligence efforts in China, i.e., spy-catching, since being promoted to vice minister in April 2018. If the stories are true, Dong would be the highest-level defector in the history of the People’s Republic of China.

So now what? Do we get any arrests or do they just give them jobs or tenure? Since the Biden administration is a wholly owned subsidiary of Communist China, I can't see much happening.

So, now DIA knows exactly which in the Congress are working for the ChiComs. Will there ever be any reckoning for our traitors?

I am very much on the fence about advertising who they have. I believe a bit of OPSEC would have been useful, now anyone/thing associated with this individual will bee covered up and dispersed by morning.
Then again, it IS the Xiden admin

That sounds good at first blush #3, but you can bet when old Head of CounterIntel didn't show up for work or at home one day, the ChiComs were pretty darned sure where he was.

Of course, our cracker-jack FBI will make sure that the presumed defector is not a double agent sent by China to provide disinformation. Won't they ?

I'm not sure this defector is safe in the hands of the DIA and xiden.

How is this not a must-read? It has details about what kind of information the defector has provided, and it is utter dynamite. Just a few things:
Financial records detailing which exact organizations and governments funded the research on SARS-CoV-2 and other biological warfare research
Names of US citizens who provide intel to China
Names of Chinese spies working in the US or attending US universities
Financial records showing US businessmen and public officials who’ve received money from the Chinese government
It is fortunate that the defector knew to go to the DIA and not the CIA. If it had been the CIA he's probably be back in China being tortured.

If what he's telling people is true, he's dead meat now that his identity has been revealed by Biteme informants.

For those who imagine that this can't be real, they might not know that the head of the KGB spy organization in the USA for many years, Alexis Kalugin, defected many years ago after being a spy master for decades. People do change sides, and actually survive.
I worked at a secure facility and Kalugin twice made presentations to our employees about 'the insider threat' and how to detect it, sponsored by US counterintelligence.
And the fact that this Chinese defector didn't go to the CIA is probably because he was paying a number of CIA agents to give info to China and knew not to trust the CIA, like I don't trust the CIA.
And Kalugin, during one counterintel talk, when answering questions, got a bit 'chatty', and in a long answer spoke about the son of "a high ranking American politician" who had "decided to announce publicly that he was a Communist". Kalugin reported that "a wealthy American businessman that I knew, who was a good friend of the politician, informed me, and I asked for the young man to visit me". Kalugin said that he convinced the son of an important US politician to not publicly announce his Communist ideals, but to work for the KGB instead. I asked Kalugin the name of the people involved, and he gulped and said something like "I'm not in a position to answer that". That indicated to me that not all the people involved were dead or out of power.
That was in the early 2000s, and I am convinced that the businessman was Armand Hammer, the KGB paymaster in the USA, reported in the Venona files, and that the politician was Senator Al Gore, Sr, who was bankrolled by Hammer for many decades, and that Al Gore, Jr. was the son who was a secret Communist, working for the KGB.

FTA:
"Dong told DIA debriefers that at least a third of Chinese students attending US universities are PLA assets or part of the Thousand Talents Plan and that many of the students are here under pseudonyms. One reason for using pseudonyms is that many of these students are the children of high-ranking military and party leaders." and even better....
According to one source " “This defector has the rest of the intelligence community and the LEO community scared sh**less.”
Lets hope that it is still possible to clean out the Chinese-paid traitors inside the US "intel community", and that maybe many of these Chinese "students" will be put into prisons. rather than just sent home.
