On Tuesday, the father of a biological girl who believes she is a boy turned himself into a Canadian court and was subsequently taken to jail after the Attorney General of British Columbia issued an arrest warrant for contempt after the father had insisted on referring to his daughter as his “daughter” and used the pronouns “she” and “her.”Robert Hoogland, from Surrey, British Columbia, has a 14-year-old daughter. The Soros DA in question is LA's George Gascon in close competition with SF's Chesa Boudin for the title of the worst pro-crime DA.
While Gascon was backed by Soros, he was also funded by a variety of entertainment industry figures, including the wife of the Netflix CEO and Steven Spielberg, and his time in office has been characterized by a thuggery nearly as ruthless as the criminals he was selected to protect.
The targets of Gascon's thuggery were the prosecutors trying to do their job.
There have been some horrifying things that happened on Gascon's watch, but this might be yet another low.

To the surprise of no one, New York Times and reporter Sheryl Gay Stolberg was disingenuous in a Thursday story accusing culture-war obsessed Republicans of endangering America’s health during the pandemic: “Biden’s Top Health Posts Remain Empty as G.O.P. Focuses on Culture Wars,”
It’s clear The Times considers free expression, abortion, and women’s right to spaces of their own are time-wasting clickbait -- though with the issues of Dr. Seuss, abortion, and transgender activism, it’s invariably Republicans reacting to leftist overreach.
She began by fretting that it was the GOP that were waging in culture wars:

During military training sessions to address extremism in the ranks, some service members have challenged why the Pentagon is not treating the violence during racial injustice protests last summer as equal to the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.
That the two events are viewed as equivalent by some troops has caught the Pentagon’s attention in its effort to educate service members that extremist views and activity — on either side of the political spectrum — go against the oath they took when they joined the military, the top enlisted leader told reporters on Thursday.

America’s labor unions keep learning the hard way that a vote for a Democrat politician is often a vote for job-killing policies.Flashback to April 2019, when the 400,000-strong United Auto Workers union proudly endorsed then-Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.“In these dangerous and difficult times, the country needs a president who will demonstrate clear, stable leadership, less partisan acrimony and more balance to the rights and protections of working Americans,” UAW president Rory Gamble said in a statement at the time.“We need folks with a steady hand, empathy and intelligence to be able to do that job.

The other side of buyer's remorse is seller's remorse. That happens when you sell or even give away something that you miss after its gone.
Rich Lowry, editor of the Never Trump Review, has a variant called sellout's remorse. He sold out his once-conservative magazine's reputation to gain brownie points among the elitists. His Against Trump issue was a political and intellectual failure because 1. Trump won the presidency, and 2. Trump was the most successful conservative president in decades.
Opposition from Fake Conservatives helped Democrats stymie President Trump's completion of the wall. As hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens gather at our border, Lowry realizes the price paid for selling out.

This is only considered good news, which means the press can only see it in a negative light.
While being scorched in the media and even challenged in the courts by teachers’ unions, the plan installed by Governor Ron DeSantis for reopening the schools across the state of Florida has been a success. Parents who wanted children back in social settings and students in the most need of personal guidance have been given the chances they asked for, and the results have been only positive across the board. Now, data is supporting this decision as well.
During the pandemic, the media have been operating in a paradox.

We now have several COVID vaccines. All work, all have passed safety testing, and all are in wide distribution.
This is a huge accomplishment, but there’s one problem: A lot of people aren’t taking the shot.
Are they just ignorant anti-vaxxers?
No. As a recent focus group by Frank Luntz, reported in The Washington Post, demonstrates, a lot of people who won’t take the vaccine aren’t skeptical about vaccines in general. Just about this batch.
So maybe they’re just Red State Luddites?
No. In fact, it’s a worldwide phenomenon.

Is the military more focused on winning wars, or Wokeism?
Americans should not have to ask this question.
But on account of doings of the Biden-led Department of Defense (DoD), Fox News’ Tucker Carlson was rightly compelled to proffer it. That he received any DoD response—and no less an almost parodic scolding, rather than an assurance that the military is singularly focused on crushing our enemies—demonstrates an existential problem for our country.
It shows that the progressives’ Long March through our institutions is reaching its dangerous apex.
This is a dangerous apex because when it comes to matters of national security and foreign policy, politicization literally kills.

The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns have not only been devastating for society, they have had a chilling effect on the scientific community. For science to thrive, opposing ideas must be openly and vigorously discussed, supported, or countered based on scientific merit.
Instead, some politicians, journalists, and (alas) scientists have engaged in vicious slander of dissident scientists, spreading damaging conspiracy theories, even with open calls for censorship in place of debate. In many cases, eminent scientific voices have been effectively silenced, often with gutter tactics. Much is made of China's dominance in the rare earth elements (REE). Currently, China controls over 90% of the refined or processed market for REEs. Most advanced technologies, including weapon systems, depend on REEs, and adequate substitutes do not exist. On the surface, China's monopolistic control over refined REEs induces a severe case of the vapors among U.S. national security analysts. But how extensive and stable is China's control of the REE market? If China's market control is neither extensive nor stable, perhaps doing nothing or policies that target China's Achilles heel would be the U.S.'s best course of action.

When a politician promises to “tell the truth,” as President Biden did in his nationally televised address last Thursday, you can add that statement to familiar ones lacking the ring of sincerity. They include: “The gun isn’t loaded;” “the microphone is off;” “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” and “I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.”
A promise to tell the truth might imply that others (himself?) have been lying in the past. Why not just be truthful? Honesty is not only the best policy, it is a practice people don’t have to brag about if they have a record of veracity.

If it’s true that both always were or soon became bogus investigations, this brings up a relevant question: Since President Joe Biden is now safely installed in the White House, and there’s no longer any reason to keep up the pretense that anything is happening, why are both investigations continuing? Why haven’t they been ended yet?
Counter to most of the media pontifications about this ongoing federal investigation, I’m convinced they are quite real.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost sued the Biden administration Wednesday, saying the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package signed last week forces states to choose between receiving funding and lowering taxes. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, seeks a preliminary injunction against part of the American Rescue Plan Act. Yost said Congress exceeded its authority when it added the so-called tax mandate to the stimulus plan "at the last minute."

If you’re an American of average income, listen up. You’re about to become a lot poorer. President Joe Biden’s proposed soon-to-be-unveiled multi-trillion dollar tax hike, the first major increase in taxes since 1993, will ensure that.
With a massive wave of new spending on the way, it was only a matter of time before Biden and his far-left economic team came up with massive new tax increases to match. You might be happy with your $1,400 “stimulus check,” but you won’t be happy with the higher taxes you’ll be paying from now until you die.
That’s right, because no matter

Almost two months into the Biden administration, it’s an open secret that Joe Biden won’t take spontaneous questions from the press. That’s why it was peculiar on Wednesday for a clip suddenly to appear purportedly showing Joe answering questions from random reporters somewhere in America. What was even more peculiar was that Joe’s hands magically passed through the microphones. In other words, the weird hand illusion (combined with other oddities) in the video suggests that the White House is disseminating fake videos to make it look as if Joe is talking spontaneously to the media.
At first glance, the Bloomberg Quicktake video looks normal

Although some studies have concluded that masks help stop the spread of COVID-19, usually they have failed to replicate real-world situations. (snip) it makes sense to demand that states with mask mandates have lower COVID-19 death rates than states that don't. (snip) The question is, "Do states with mask mandates have lower COVID-19 death rates than states with no mandate?" (snip) States with a mask mandate: 13.0 deaths per 10,000 population.
States with no mask mandate: 12.6 deaths per 10,000 population. (snip) the notion that masking up keeps us safe receives no support from the data.

In the final months of the Trump administration, House Democrats universally voted to demand the unconstitutional use of the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office.
The 25th Amendment was meant to remove presidents who were unable to discharge their duties. President Trump was clearly able to do so, but Biden may be exactly the disastrous scenario that the 25th Amendment was created to avoid. And he may be its worst test case.
A basic problem with the Biden administration is that there really isn’t one.

On Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, immediately following a sobering report about the massive illegal immigration border crisis, correspondent Ed O’Keefe fretted that the badly mishandled situation was “distracting” from President Biden’s attempted victory lap over the newly-passed COVID relief boondoggle. “The U.S. is holding some 13,000 unaccompanied minors after a surge in arrivals that began in January, when President Biden took office,” co-host Anthony Mason informed viewers. He then pointed to the new administration being woefully unprepared to deal with the massive influx: “The rush to open new holding facilities suggests the new administration was not ready for this migration, and critics say, it should have been.”

George Stephanopoulos held a sitdown interview with Joe Biden that aired on Wednesday.During the interview, Joe Biden made up this story about Turkey and immigrants and his $800 billion bill to study on Central America. Joe Biden: You may remember when we had the unaccompanied children at the border when Barack was president. He called me back. I was in Turkey and he said you take care of this. And I was able to get a bipartisan bill passed for almost $800 billion to go to the root cause on why people are leaving (Central America). Why are they leaving El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras? Because they’re

On Wednesday, many Americans saw their $1,400 stimulus checks hit their bank accounts, courtesy of the mammoth coronavirus relief package Democrats shoehorned through Congress last week. The final destinations are fuzzier, however, for some of the other blocks of cash provided in the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill, ostensibly aimed at alleviating the economic suffering caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Some of the items are only loosely related to relieving pandemic woes, and in some cases, Democrats appear to have given up attempting to connect the funding to the coronavirus at all,

Wednesday on FNC’s “Your World,” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) discussed threats from Senate Democrats to end the filibuster rule in the U.S. Senate.Aside from the inconsistencies from Democrats, who defended the filibuster rule when they were in the minority, Grassley referenced the purpose of the filibuster, which he said was to maintain the Senate as the deliberative body in Congress.“Well, you just pointed out the key point here, how inconsistent and intellectually dishonest the Democrats who are talking about doing that are, because they defended the 60-vote rule in the United States Senate, well throughout history, as far as I know. And now, all of a sudden, they want to

The House Republican Conference vote on Wednesday to restore earmarks was a betrayal of the voters, and undermined one of the remaining legacies of the Tea Party.
The vote was close, 102-84, but that is no consolation, especially as it was by secret ballot, preventing voters from holding their representatives accountable.f Republicans do not hold a revote, they can expect conservatives to stay home in 2022. They will have blown their chance to retake the House — and will deserve to lose.
Earmarks are, or were, spending provisions that Senators and Representatives attach to bills that are likely to pass and
