The twelve-year reign of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Pope Francis, as the head of the Roman Catholic Church began shortly after the strange and still-unexplained resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, and seven weeks into the second term of Barack Obama as president of the United States. It was fitting that Obama was president during the first four years of Francis’ papacy, as Francis was the Barack Obama of popes: just as Obama did as president of the United States, Pope Francis worked to weaken, instead of strengthen, the institution he was leading, and to provide aid and comfort to its enemies, while confusing and maddening its ardent supporters.

From this great article:
Pope Francis worked to weaken, and ultimately destroy, the Roman Catholic Church and Christianity itself.

Satan has a new guest at the table for dinner.
But overall, there is no celebration in Hell tonight.
We'll have to wait and see what the Cardinals come up with... another Obama in robes, or....

I’m hoping the next Pope is the PDJT of the Catholic Church. But I’m not holding my breath.

I have so much to say about Francis but no reason to now. Why did the previous pope resign?

With God's help, the next Pope will be the African Cardinal Robert Sarah who is known for his conservative views and staunch defense of traditional Catholic teachings.

When a pope says he’s not qualified to judge another person’s proclivities and actions, that’s pretty much all you need to know about him.

left, right, I don' t know... Pope Francis was the bravest pro-lifer on Earth. He also held out for Catholic marriage: one man, one woman, till death. And that child abuse is wrong whoever does it. And he did not say LGBTQ is fine, he just said he would not judge, which is a good stance with respect to anything. Some things are distortions and should be discouraged, but that is not the same thing as personal judgments.... The Pope' s job is matters of faith and morals affecting the entire Church, and there he was faithful and true. as for what he thought about veils, chants, and whatever, the correct view on these issues, even if there is one, doesn't seem the likeliest topic when the Holy Father turns up at the Pearly Gates. Rumor has it there is a choir there already, and that people dress with more than the splendor of the lilies.

To me, the best line in the article was the last one:
"What will the Roman Catholic Church do now? If it continues to follow in the way of Pope Francis, it will destroy itself. Will it pull itself back from the brink? We shall see."

Regardless of our opinions, the end result of his reign was the loss of thousands of members in the Catholic Church.

I’ve always believed, though I have no proof, that 0bama was part of the cabal that forced Benedict to “retire”.

#9, if he was such a brave pro-lifer, why did he not excommunicate Joe Biden when he met with him at the Vatican?

I never thought of Pope Francis being the Obama of popes. Now, if they said he was the Hussein of popes. . .
Whatever Pope Francis did on Earth, his fate is now in the hands of God.
