Yvette Cooper, the home secretary of the British Labour Party, ordered the publication of migrant crime statistics by nationality, The Telegraph reported.
The Home Office will release official “league tables” of crimes committed by foreign nationals residing in the UK, including those awaiting deportation, according to the outlet. The decision will mark the first time the British government has provided a comprehensive breakdown of foreign criminality, with the public previously only having access to unofficial migrant crime statistics.
“Not only are we deporting foreign criminals at a rate never seen when Chris Philip and Robert Jenrick were in charge at the Home Office, but we will also be publishing far more information

A record-breaking tunnel is being built under the Baltic Sea between Denmark and Germany, which will slash travel times and improve Scandinavia's links with the rest of Europe.
Running for 18km (11 miles), the Fehmarnbelt will be the world's longest pre-fabricated road and rail tunnel.
It's also a remarkable feat of engineering, that will see segments of the tunnel placed on top of the seafloor, and then joined together.
The project's main construction site is located at the northern entrance to the tunnel, on the coast of Lolland island in the south east of Denmark.
The facility spans more than 500 hectares (1,235 acres), and includes a harbour and a factory

Former NFL kicker Jay Feely launched a bid for an open House seat in Arizona on Tuesday, seeking to become the latest to cross over from sports to politics.
Running as a Republican, Feely is running to represent the state’s 5th Congressional District and succeed Rep. Andy Biggs (R), who is seeking the GOP nomination for governor next year. The former player-turned sports analyst pitched himself as a strong supporter of President Trump and highlighted his experience on and off the field on his campaign website.
“A proud conservative and staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, Feely is running in Arizona’s 5th Congressional District to fight for border security, protect

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday called for sweeping reforms at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, urging the institutions to abandon what he described as “mission creep” and return to their founding charters focused on macroeconomic stability, trade, and development.
Speaking at the Institute of International Finance during the spring meetings of the IMF and World Bank, Bessent said that “America First does not mean America alone.” He argued that the Trump administration is not looking to abandon international institutions or the global financial system built with American leadership, but rather is making a renewed commitment to U.S. leadership within it.

A Virginia town in Loudoun County voted to keep its police force on Tuesday following backlash from residents opposed to disbanding the department to save more than $3 million.
“The town of Purcellville, located in Loudoun County, Virginia, has found itself around $50 million in the red following the construction of a major wastewater treatment facility,” Fox News reported, “and the council sought to tighten the town’s budget by disbanding the local police department and relying on the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement.”

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in 2026, saying he would “pass the torch” to up-and-coming leaders in his party.
The no. 2 Democrat in the Senate posted a video message on X explaining his decision to step down after having served five terms — “longer than anyone elected to the Senate” in Illinois’ history.
“The decision of whether to run for re-election has not been easy. I truly love the job of being a United States senator,” Durbin said. “But in my heart, I know it’s time to pass the torch.”

Sweden, once hailed as a beacon of safety and “progressive utopia” of Europe, is now facing a grim and unthinkable reality: its murder rate has climbed higher than that of El Salvador, long infamous for gang violence, and a nation that, until recently, was considered one of the most dangerous places on Earth.
The shocking revelation, confirmed by multiple sources, highlights the catastrophic consequences of decades of open-border, globalist immigration policies championed by Sweden’s out-of-touch left-liberal establishment.
According to data from early 2025, Sweden has reported 32 murders just in the first 110 days of the year.

Jack Schlossberg—grandson of former President John F. Kennedy—lashed out on social media Monday morning, accusing Vice President J.D. Vance of “killing the pope” just hours after the Vatican announced the death of Pope Francis.
The accusation comes after Pope Francis’s passing, ending his 12-year tenure as head of the Roman Catholic Church.
Vance, a Catholic convert since 2019, had a brief private meeting with the pontiff at Casa Santa Marta on Easter Sunday.
The meeting lasted about 15–17 minutes, during which they exchanged Easter greetings.

A former senior adviser to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth who lost his job last week amid an investigation into press leaks from the Pentagon — pointed the finger in a different direction during an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Dan Caldwell, who has been placed on “administrative leave,” told Carlson in the interview released Monday that the Pentagon is rife with opponents of President Donald Trump and his administration’s goals. Those are where the leaks are coming from, he said.
But there’s a “less obvious place” that’s a possibility, he suggested. And he named one name that shocked viewers

The families of the victims of an Orange County, Calif., high-speed car crash are sending letters to the state to keep an illegal immigrant convicted felon behind bars, as he’s expected to be released from prison over six years before his 10-year sentence is up.
Oscar Eduardo Ortega-Anguiano, 43, was driving drunk, high, and speeding at nearly 100mph on the 405 freeway in Orange County in November 2021, when he crashed into a car being driven by a young couple, 19-year-olds Anya Varfolomeev and Nicholay Osokin, killing them both as they burned alive. In 2022, he was convicted of two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Four years of classes, thousands of dollars in tuition and one freshly minted diploma — all to be outdone by a chatbot.
As artificial intelligence floods the workplace, nearly half of Gen Z job seekers say their degrees have already been made obsolete by the rise of generative AI tools like ChatGPT — and they’re wondering why they even bothered hitting the books in the first place.
It’s a waste of time and money, according to respondents to a new Indeed report, which found 49% of Gen Z job hunters think their college education has lost value in the job market thanks to AI.

Three federal prosecutors have resigned instead of admitting wrongdoing following suspensions over their handling of the federal corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams – bringing the number of lawyers who have left the Justice Department in the fallout from the case to 10.
The three who most recently resigned were Assistant U.S. Attorneys Celia Cohen, Andrew Rohrbach and Derek Wikstrom, who were assigned to the department's Southern District of New York.
The Trump administration – not them – mishandled the case, according to a letter from them reviewed by NBC News.
They were suspended after refusing to take part in the Justice Department's move to drop the prosecution against Adams.
