Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) is frantically backpedaling after his ill-conceived El Salvador publicity stunt blew up in his face. The Maryland Democrat, who initially trumpeted his mission to "rescue" a deported MS-13 gang member, is now desperately trying to rewrite the script of his adventure gone wrong. When Van Hollen first landed in the country, he couldn't wait to broadcast his virtuous mission to the world. "I just landed in San Salvador," he proclaimed proudly, promising to secure the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whom he claimed was "illegally abducted."

Fawning over a violent, criminal, FOREIGNER who weas illegally in our country, and who beat up his wife shows what a rotten person you are. And add in ignoring the American citizens who were murdered by other violent, criminal illegal foreigners just clinches the fact that this is one seriously anti-American, pro-criminal person.

Van Hollen looks well fed. He needs to spend more time at the taxpayer funded Senate gym, and less time in El Salvador.

This version of Van a----'s trip will never appear in the Baltimore media. They will cover it up and explain it as a successful trip ruined by those horrible Trump policies. All four news stations had this trip as their top story. Let the weeping and whiny begin by the media.

I love that he’s too stupid to realize President Bukele’s original tweet was “tongue in cheek.” No one with a thinking brain ever thought he was drinking margaritas provided by the El Salvadoran authorities. Pres Bukele’s humor and Van Hollen’s own hubris did him in. Idiot.

The dems will cheerlead this guy no matter what evidence is released. Whatever criminal things he did previously will be blamed on Trump and conservatives and he will be forgiven. The Senator will be a hero for exposing this evil scam and standing up to Trump. I have no doubt he did all the bad things but for me the most telling was when his beloved wife could not explain away her charges filed on him attacking her. (At least twice, I am sure many more times.) The dems will be pushing the "they can make you disappear too" nonsense and the people will eat it up. I don't see this backfiring on them. They will do what they always do. Lie and lie some more and their believers will believe. And the rest of us won't. It will be a standoff for quite some time. The chorus of "free the Maryland father and bring him home" will still ring loud. Ours will be "the criminal is home and right where he should be". It makes no difference how many crimes he committed and stupid the Senator looks. That is not the issue. TDS is the issue and they are not going to let it go.

Um, Frat boy Chris. There isn't a democrat controlled media in El Salvador to cover your back. Might get better intel about the country you go to to have margaritas with your BFF wife beating, human trafficking, gangbanger, terrorist Kilmar next time. I'm sure the first place you can go to redeem your image is The View. They swallow anything Dems spew forth with glee.

Mossley, you just put the whole thing in Maryland in perspective. The Gimmedats in the Washington Baltimore corridor outnumber the rest of the counties and they run things in Maryland. Many of them are Affirmative Action workers in Washington who live in our beautiful state.

“Not always, but most of the time, people act in their own self-interest.” The above quote is our passport through the space-time continuum — the DeLorean we’ll drive to steal a sneak-peak at Election Day 2028, as we play Carnac the Magnificent. And it works… about 75% of the time. Alas, the future is stubbornly indifferent to the plans of today. People are mostly predictable, but black swan events still happen. Every now and then, a researcher in Wuhan will be dissecting bats and forget to wash her hands. Or a political speech in Butler, Penn. will be disrupted with gunshots. Life is crazy. It’ll never be fully predictable.

According to Svyrydenko, Ukrainian negotiators have “adjusted several items within a draft agreement.” If the American side is satisfied with those adjustments, a memorandum of intent could be signed very soon. Zelensky’s remarks echoed the assessment given by Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who said “significant progress” has been made on the deal.

Gaza? Tunnels? Tehran? Yes, the IDF hit Hamas in all of those places, including in Iran's capital when Israel took out its top leader Ismail Haniyeh. However, the Wall Street Journal reports that the IDF and Israeli intelligence have struck hardest at the heart of Hamas -- its wallet: Israel last month cut off supplies of humanitarian goods to the enclave, some of which Hamas had been seizing and selling to raise funds, according to Arab, Israeli and Western officials. Its renewed offensive has targeted and killed Hamas officials who played important roles in distributing cash to cadres and sent others into hiding, Arab intelligence officials said.

A pair of earthshattering, history-altering, Chris Christie-sized stories broke this week, but they’ve (mostly) skated beneath the political periphery. That’s because you can’t grasp the sheer enormity of the consequences until you connect them together. On their own, they’re inconsequential, back-of-the-page news stories — scarcely soliciting a shoulder shrug from political wonks. But together, as a one-two punch, it will change American politics forever. And it will murder the modern Democratic Party. There’s been a slow-moving coup… but nobody’s noticed! It’s tied to the larger political realignment nationally:

The arsonist targeted Josh Shapiro and his family over perceived slights to "the people of Palestine," according to police search warrants, as well as Shapiro's Jewish faith. The Internal Revenue Service is making plans to rescind the tax-exempt status of Harvard University, according to two sources familiar with the matter, which would be an extraordinary step of retaliation as the Trump administration seeks to turn up pressure on the university that has defied its demands to change its hiring and other practices. A final decision on rescinding the university’s tax exemption is expected soon, the sources said. The administration already has blocked more than $2 billion in funding from the nation’s oldest university, which is fighting the White House’s policy demands, citing the constitutional right of private universities to determine their own teaching practices.

A distant ocean-covered world, teeming with life. That's the most likely explanation for a new discovery made by scientists, who say they have detected the most promising signs yet of life outside our solar system. Using data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the astronomers, led by the University of Cambridge, have identified the chemical fingerprints dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) – molecules that indicate life. Here on Earth, these molecules are only produced by living organisms – primarily microbial life such as marine phytoplankton. The molecules have been detected in the atmosphere of exoplanet K2-18b, which is located around 124 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Leo.

The United Kingdom’s supreme court ruled Wednesday that males who identify as women do not fall qualify as women under anti-discrimination law, a monumental decision that will have major consequences for British law. The high court defined “woman” based on sex rather than gender identity, keeping it within the bounds of scientific reality rather than giving into the demands of left-wing activists. The ruling specifically addressed Britain’s 2010 Equality Act, an anti-discrimination law that covers nine protected characteristics and applies to various sectors of British life.
