WASHINGTON—The transcript of former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) counterintelligence chief James Angleton’s testimony to the Senate Church Committee in 1976 was discovered in the locked stacks of the National Archives by The Epoch Times. Long sought by historians, the 72 pages of transcription from the hearing remained classified and hidden from the public for nearly 50 years. The committee, chaired by Sen. Frank Church, informally known by his surname, was founded to investigate intelligence abuses by federal agencies.

James Jesus Angleton Died May 11, 1987 (aged 69) Frank Forrester Church III Died April 7, 1984 (aged 59) Sure, lets dig up their coffins and wheel them in. After they've been sworn in, ask questions and see what type of response you get. If necessary, wave a letter of reprimand should they consider not complying. Yes, then it's the return to being 6 feet deep.

You don't have to dig 'em up. Just use William Safire's ouija board to communicate with Church and Mother, the mole hunter.

Hardly a nithingburger, Angleton forcefully testified his belief that there were foreign agents embeddded to tamper with elections. He further testified that there was no one in the agncies to wjom one could direct a complaint, William Colby fired him and was probably responsible for the rumors that Angleton himself was a representative of a foreign government - perhaps Israel, - which was untrue. The transcript of his testimony was sent to the locked stack at the National Archives. End of story. No investigation. Story effectively buried for 50 years until PDJT's release of the FK files caused it to be unlocked. Who was it said that "those who ignore (or deny?) history are doomed to repeat it" (paraphrased)....?

The full quote from The Life of Reason (1905-1906) by George Santayana is as follows: "Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." https://www.answers.com/history-of-western-civilization/Who_said_Those_who_do_not_learn_from_the_past_are_doomed_to_repeat_it

Church and Angelton may be deceased but there are staff of the Church commission that are still alive. They may be in their nineties but they can and probably should be subpoenaed.

James Angleton and Richard Helms would be considered MAGA by Conservatives today. William Colby and Frank Church would be considered Deep State, imo. They were back then, in my conservative home.

If you turn this thing on its head, if there was nothing in the Angleton testimony that could condemn someone, why was it buried in the National Archive's locked stack?

The Trump administration is cracking down on radical, anti-American foreigners by revoking their visas. The left claims such efforts are a violation of free speech rights. But no foreigner has the “right” to be in America, let alone come here and espouse radical anti-American and anti-West values.(snip)Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Thursday that visas are meant for students to “study and get a degree, not to become a social activist that tears up our university campuses. His excuse was that “TdA” isn’t a foreign government, and there’s no war. Well, that weak legal argument just collapsed under the weight of some pretty damning new intelligence.

The White House cited national security concerns for terminating workers’ ability to bargain collectively, but the order applies at agencies with both direct and indirect links to national security.

It’s not entirely clear if he was real or fictional. Most historians believe he was probably real, but it’s tricky to verify: The legend of Lucius Cincinnatus was (enthusiastically) retold in Titus “Livy” Livius’ book, the “History of Rome,” which was written a few decades before Christ. Unquestionably, Livius’ book included real, verifiable, historic events, but it also included the mythology of the Trojan War and tales of magical twins suckled by a she-wolf. But the legend of Lucius Cincinnatus still endures. He’s even the namesake of an American city in southwest Ohio. And his story continues to influence kings, queens, emperors, and (yes) even U.S. presidents.
