An Israeli biotech firm says it is nearing human trials for a breakthrough drug that could extend human lifespan by up to 30 percent by targeting the age-regulating protein SIRT-6, which the company says would also improve brain function, organ health, and overall vitality.
On Friday, Israeli news site N12 reported that Tel Aviv-based Sirtlab is preparing to launch clinical trials on a drug designed to stimulate SIRT-6, a protein associated with youth, vitality, and disease resistance. I’ve been rather hard on the FBI in recent years, but only in response to such grossly unprofessional, and arguably illegal conduct I’ve had no choice. As I’ve so often written, I’d like to believe the majority of field agents are decent, honorable people who take seriously their oaths to uphold the law and Constitution and to serve the American people. Unfortunately with DEI rampant in that agency, and unmistakable proof of political vendettas, I can’t. Even if I did, when two agents—they usually travel in pairs—show up at my door, how can I know they’re two of the honest types?

For example, in 2018, NPR did a story about a Department of Education study claiming during the 2015-2016 school year 240 schools reported at least one school-related shooting. NPR reporters [snip] found, no doubt to their surprise, they could confirm only 11.

In the first saddening incident, retired Deputy Long Nguyen died by suicide on Feb. 6, according to local ABC 13.
Weeks later, Deputy Christina Kohler, 37, who was found dead on March 13 after being declared missing for over a week, the station reported.
Three days later, the body of former Deputy Maria Vasquez was discovered, with the Houston Medical Examiner ruling the death as self-inflicted. Vasquez had retired from the force in December 2024.
