Well ... fortnight, really. Their bad week started on March 4th and continued through last night. And there's always the promise of the week to come! After staging an embarrassing display of impotence during Donald Trump's speech to Congress, one might have thought that Democrats would have learned a lesson. Instead, as Politico laments, they were just warming up:President Donald Trump’s week was poised to be bruising. Instead, the president is ending it on a political high after he and congressional Republicans closed ranks and, with an assist from the looming specter of DOGE, cornered Democrats into voting to avert a government shutdown on their terms. Now, it’s Democrats

Republicans don't want to shut down the government. They want to defund the corrupt wasteful parts of it. Meanwhile the Democrats want more money to pocket and waste. For a change we actually have someone serious about governing at the helm. It shows.

The one thing the dems want is their power back. It's also the one thing that they are unlikely to ever get, at least in anything like the form it was in. Dem power depended on the suspension of disbelief. For example, Biden was senile. Dems said he wasn't and people believed them until Biden imploded on live national TV. Biden said inflation was under control, but people were living the reality of inflation every day. Biden said he couldn't fix the border. Yet Trump has accomplished it in less than 2 months without a single new law being passed. Much of the public now realize that dems are reality challenged. Further, the media threw everything it had into propping up the dems so when the dems crashed, so did the media. To cap it off, the dems seem unable to stop lying and now people are expecting that they ARE lying so it becomes all that more difficult to push through. AND, their obsessive target, Trump, seems to be delivering on his promises and continuing to stick to his agenda. And the public likes it. How do you fight against a man who said what he was going to do, got elected on that basis, is doing what he said he would do, and it is working out pretty much as he said it would. Meanwhile the dems are almost the polar opposite of that. In the meantime, Trump is disassembling the dems cheat mechanisms. The Deep State is being chased out. The slush funding is being shut down. The propaganda media has imploded. With a bit of luck, Republicans will win big in the midterms and some changes can be codified so that a future dem dope president cannot role them back without passing new laws. It took decades for dems to build their corrupt empire. Now that it is being exposed, it is crumbling. The public trust required to reestablish it is gone. The control structure the dems had is almost gone and with it, their power. The dems are searching in vain.

The Democratic Party Is Collapsing 4 replies

If you have had difficulty finding some reason to support the Democratic Party and its increasingly bizarre policy positions, you are not alone. Two national polls released on Sunday reveal that the party’s favorability ratings have plunged to catastrophic lows. According to a new NBC News survey, just 27 percent of registered voters hold a positive view of the Democratic Party — its lowest rating since 1990. Likewise, a new CNN poll indicates that only 29 percent of U.S. adults regard the party favorably — a low not seen since 1992. These polls confirm an equally ominous Quinnipiac survey conducted last month.

The Democrats’ Brahmin Left Problem 5 replies

The Democrats have become and remain today a “Brahmin Left” party. “Brahmin Left” is a term coined by economist Thomas Piketty and colleagues to characterize Western left parties increasingly bereft of working-class voters and increasingly dominated by highly educated voters and elites, including of course our own Democratic Party. The Brahmin Left character of the party has evolved over many decades but spiked in the 21st century. The chart below illustrates this trend.

Mike Rogers in the Michigan Republican primary for Senate, RealClearPolitics is first to report. Neither Republican has yet declared. Both are expected to compete for the seat left wide open by Democratic Sen. Gary Peters who unexpectedly announced that he would not seek reelection in 2026. The key in Michigan: Donald Trump.

Styled as part cooking show, part lifestyle show, it’s jampacked with unoriginal ideas and tips you’ve definitely seen on Pinterest before. Don’t get me wrong — as a living, moving Pinterest board, “With Love, Meghan” delivers a fabulous aesthetic

Before the recent election, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability asked then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to turn over all Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) relating to ActBlue — not much happened. An SAR is a document that banks file with the Treasury Department pursuant to potentially fraudulent or illicit financial activity. Yellen stalled, presumably in the hope that the Democrats would win the House back in November and halt the investigation. That obviously didn’t happen and the new Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, is of course cooperating with the committee. This may well be what precipitated the sudden departure of seven senior officials from ActBlue in February.

When President Donald Trump returned to the White House on January 20, 2025, weapons shipments previously halted by the Biden State Department to the Israeli government were sent out the door - including 2000 pound bombs. "The U.S. authorized the release of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, Jan. 25, 2025, a munition that had previously been held back. The president told reporters at the time that those weapons had been paid for and that Israel had been waiting 'a long time' for their delivery," DOD News reported.

Donald Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night was the most powerful, rousing and pointed of any presidential address in decades. “America is back… and we are just getting started,” it began, capturing the theme of the night. The address ended with a peroration that his administration would “take up the righteous cause of American liberty” and “fight, fight, fight for a country our citizens’ believe in and deserve.” Our country’s “Golden Age,” he said, ”has just begun.” Dozens and dozens of applause lines were planted throughout the speech as Trump laid…

We’ve been told that President Trump’s address to Congress tonight would dilate on the theme of the “Renewal of the American Dream.” And so it did. But for short hand, two ideas predominated. One was “Woke No More.” The other was “common sense.” Both were themes of Trump’s inaugural address. I have expatiated on the theme of Trump’s embrace of common sense in a talk I gave to the Connecticut outpost of Hillsdale College at the end of January. The irony is that what should be common to all has been so uncommon in an age marked by perversity and ideology. Together, the attack on wokeness and the reinstitution of

If you want to understand why last Friday’s Oval Office press conference between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky went off the rails, ignore most of what you are seeing in the corporate media. Anyone watching a video of the entire event, instead of the deceptively edited clips featured on most “news” sites, will see that neither the President nor the Vice President “ambushed” Zelensky. The first 39 minutes of the meeting were unremarkable, with President Trump attempting to be cordial despite the Ukrainian president’s Marvel Comics costume and pugnacious comportment.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy broke one of the cardinal rules of diplomacy today: Never introduce a surprise in a high-stakes meeting. This principle is sacrosanct among leaders, particularly when navigating complex international relationships. Yet, Zelenskyy employed a risky gambit, attempting to leverage media influence to strengthen his negotiating position with the nation that has already provided his country with $183 billion in aid. At the outset of a press conference intended to pave the way for a formal agreement, Zelenskyy seized upon a reporter’s question

According to the lawsuit filed in the California Superior Court in 2020, he “suffered severe burns, disfigurement, and debilitating nerve damage to his genitals when hot drinks ultimately spilled” on his lap. The lawsuit ultimately accused the coffee chain of breaching its duty of care by not securing the lids, according to the report.

There are almost 700 federal district court judges. I say “almost,” because while officially there are 677 of them, some retired judges have taken senior status and may sit from time to time on cases, so the figure is inexact on any given day. Since President Trump was sworn in for a second term, there have been an avalanche of cases seeking relief from executive actions. Last month alone district court judges issued 15 temporary restraining orders. “That’s more nationwide injunctions than there were issued for the first three YEARS of the Biden Administration. District court judges are out of control.“

As we’ve been reporting, President Trump invoked the 1798 Alien Enemies Act against members of the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang and promptly put over 200 of them on a plane to be taken to El Salvador. While the flight was still in the air, Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg ordered a temporary restraining order preventing the deportation of any Venezuelans—and he also demanded that the plane turn around and return the gangsters to the U.S. (Attorney General Pam Bondi has already appealed the ruling.) There’s no way to sugarcoat this for our friends on the left: the Democratic Party is imploding. After their humiliating defeat in the government funding battle, a devastating new CNN poll shows the party's favorability has cratered to an abysmal 29%—the lowest since 1992. The numbers don’t lie; this is a spectacular fall from grace. The party has hemorrhaged support, suffering a jaw-dropping 20-point collapse in favorability since January 2021, when Joe Biden was inaugurated. Even their own base is abandoning ship, with Democratic Party favorability among supporters plummeting from 81% to a pathetic 63%. Democrats can't even keep their own house in order.
