During Tuesday's White House briefing to the White House Press Corps, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provided an update on the Trump administration's efforts to clamp down on illegal immigration and to bring the border under control. Thumbnail: It's all working. [Tweet, video] The press secretary reports: Fox recently reported that a San Diego migrant shelter is closing its doors after saying they have not received new asylum-seeking families or individuals since January 20th. We all know what happened on January 20th, don't we?

Democrat, USAID and NGO-sponsored migrant shelters and sanctuary cities are what created the original problem. Biden craziness offered free transportation, food, shelter, cell phones, regular cash awards, get-out-of-jail-free cards and priority over American citizens. No wonder millions of the world's rejects took them up on it.

The wimpy congressional Republicans had better update the US Immigration Laws while Trump is in office to make it impossible for any future US President to allow unlimited numbers of Third World origin illegal aliens, called migrants, to gain entry to the USA by misusing the parole provisions contained in the immigration laws, or otherwise, to supposedly pursue asylum claims in the US courts, most of which have been proved completely bogus or fraudulent after longtime litigation that allows those illegal aliens to stay in the country and gain so-called equities in the USA including having babies born in the USA and claiming that because of a baby’s birth in the USA that entire illegal alien families should be able to stay in the USA and become eligible for all manner of taxpayer provided benefits and welfare services.

Elon Musk’s DOGE uncovered another huge scandal involving a former ICE employee-turned Biden official. According to DOGE, the HHS has been paying an empty migrant facility in Pecos, Texas, $18 million a month since March 2024. The shady deal was brokered by a former ICE employee-turned Biden transition team member. DOGE said the sketchy contract was terminated, saving taxpayers more than $251 million per year. Per DOGE: A former ICE employee and Biden transition team member joined Family Endeavors in early 2021 and helped secure a sole-source HHS contract for overflow housing from licensed care facilities.

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins issued a directive on Tuesday that tightens restrictions on access to food stamps, limiting such benefits exclusively to American citizens and legal immigrants. It is another common sense move being implemented by the new administration to dissuade illegals from attempting to game the system. “The days in which taxpayer dollars are used to subsidize illegal immigration are over,” Secretary Rollins said in a press release. “Today's directive affirms that the U.S. Department of Agriculture will follow the law—full stop." The move directs the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) within the Agriculture Department

The real minimum wage is and always will be the same: Zero. Even the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the union that represents, among other things, food service workers, is being forced to admit the truth of this economic principle. A study commissioned by the SEIU organization shows that California's new $20/hour minimum wage for fast-food workers raised food prices, and may have cost over 10,000 jobs. Last week the Globe reported on a new study by the Berkeley Research Group admitting that California’s $20 minimum wage for fast food workers has led to job losses, higher food prices, and increased automation in the industry.

With Uncle Sam tightening his belt, federal department audits and overhauls taking place, and pink slips being handed out, organizations that are worried they are next to lose federal funding/support are lining up on Capitol Hill and/or burning up the phone lines in hopes of persuading lawmakers to fight on their behalf. Among them is PBS, which has long been the target of Republican ire and attempts at defunding due to the blatantly biased nature of their programming, which is supposed to be neutral but more often than not comes across as a mouthpiece for Democrat agenda items and talking points.

Socialism is popular! A Pew study reports that more than a third of American adults view it positively. How is this possible? Little has brought more misery -- first in the Soviet Union, then in China, Cuba, Nicaragua, now Venezuela ... One reason young people support socialism is because their social media feeds show videos made by popular but economically illiterate people. TikTok star Madeline Pendleton has 1.6 million subscribers. My new video shows her telling them: "Socialism is working better than capitalism 93% of the time!" Where does she get 93%? Thousands of Israeli mourners lined the streets, waving flags and showing their love and support for the family as a procession of vans carried their abused bodies to their final resting place. Many people also wore orange, a color that the country has used to symbolize the family because of the young boys' fiery orange-red hair.
