Pope Francis is in critical condition after suffering an asthmatic respiratory crisis that required doctors to administer oxygen, The Associated Press reported, citing the Vatican. [Snip] Vatican News reported that medical professionals say the pope is not "in danger of death," but is not completely "out of danger" and will need to be hospitalized for "at least" all of next week. ... Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel told "Fox News Live" that he is "looking very closely at the next 12 hours," as he says that time is critical.

His theology has been in critical condition for a lot longer than his health.
Here's the thing...everyone is entitled believe whatever they like, but they are not entitled to redefine Christianity. If you don't believe what Jesus taught, then you cannot be a Christian, no matter what title you might hold...and that includes the Pope.

I am not catholic, but HE was of Satan. Are they Socialist freaks in Hell? God will give him his wish to be separate FROM GOD and JC. At least he will be out of our world. Can't wait for him to breath his last. I do not mean to be unkind but he was an evil demon sent from Satan.

The 88 year old Socialist Pope has gone from wheelchair(due to falling down) to "long asthmatic respiratory crisis" to "complex viral, bacterial and fungal respiratory tract infection" to pneumonia to critical condition to being fed oxygen......
That is all for now

Why hasn't he resigned yet? Benedict was forced out and he was healthier than this pope is now.

Last I heard he was 'improving'.
They must have told him they want him to resign. They need a more vigorous puppet to deal with Trump... So... The Pope is dead, Long Live the new Pope... Judas Iscariot II.

Francis is a Jesuit. They have very liberal ideas, but one can have too much empathy and mercy, as in thinking that every country should open their doors to the Third World. He does not have the practical common sense that should tell him that it would only destroy the civilized West, which is the only real hope for peace and the elimination of poverty. They are also supposed to live an ascetic life with only the necessities of life. Of course, he lives in a secure walled city in luxury/

I know exactly what he is going through.
However, hopefully he did not have a week delay in them finding that it was pneumonia.
ER care is so hindered by protocol and their hesitancy to order a CT scan, due to pressure from insurance companies.

I don't have a dog in this fight.
I just know that the church has been in decline for many decades, and i don't see that changing. Especially since this pope has stacked the deck against any potential reformist successor.
That said, our creator just may intervene. He's allowed the US another chance.

Francis reminds me of Mr. Potter in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" - a sour man with his own personal agenda, not God's from my perspective. His beliefs and statements, if followed, would not have improved the world but destroyed it based on platitudes and concepts that that he said were the will of God but seemed to be from either a deep ignorance or his allegiance to something not tethered to either the Bible, Truth, Goodness or Wisdom. I wish him no harm but he has contributed nothing truly good and has sown dissent while saying he represented God's love. Wrong guy at the wrong time and place. I heard he passed on to his closest colleague who he wants to replace him. I pray that they let the Holy Spirit decide, as they should, but being Jesuits they know better than God what is best for God.

Finally, Maybe now we can get a Pope not so enamored with Lucifer and actually teach what Christ taught!

I agree that the church is in decline. I also think the messaging has become blurred. I constantly read or hear Christian people referring to themselves as sinners or imperfect people or whatever. Yeah, I get that but we are to be repentant and remorseful sinners. Perfection only exists in God but what we can be is exceptional. When temptation comes on strong, make certain to pray even stronger. Too many times it seems like Christians proudly answer with "I am a sinner" when confronted with wrongdoing. It seems as if it has been forgotten that we should be repenting and expressing sorrow to the aggrieved. Just the opposite is occurring. We are to set ourselves apart from sin. Forgiveness runs parallel to repentance. . .

My hunch, Pope Benedict was too strict and with world leaders like Obama in power and running the show, they were looking for a more accommodating Pope with the liberal Jesuit background.
They found Pope Francis on the fifth ballot.

i pray we get a real Pope...joe schmoe and this man were installed by chai-nah;
both grassed on the chinese underground church.
you'd think we'd get used to this stuff over the millennia; but, you cannot.
will have to check up on my Dante: he did meet a pope in the 6th circle of hell, as punishment for heresy.
pope marxist the 1st would sweep any betting pool for any ring of hell , it would seem.
he's behaved as merely a woke politico, not a Fisher of Men for God who opposes communism.
surely he knows the words attributed to St John Chrysostom: ''The road to hell is paved with the bones of priests and monks, and the skulls of bishops are the lampposts that light the path''.
[shout out to the archbishop of canterbury, who proclaimed recently he doesn't believe in God.]

I hope and pray that Cardinal Robert Sarah will be Pope Francis' replacement. Cardinal Sarah is 80 years old, but he would be a strong contrast to Pope Francis and would be a real healer for the Church.
