During an interview with Brian Kilmeade, President Donald Trump sounds like he is battling the same cold as me. However, on the serious side, President Trump goes through the geopolitical map of challenges being faced and gives a brutally honest perspective on the current status. At 06:30 of the interview, President Trump outlines his current opinion on the Ukraine President and the reason for it. President Trump talks about the simple process of creating a surety (rare earth minerals) for U.S. taxpayer funds that have been sent to Zelenskyy, and the outline of a deal the people who control Zelenskyy ultimately rejected.

I suspect that if there were ever a thorough audit of the billions sent to Ukraine, we would find that a thousand palms have been greased in the process. No doubt there are a lot of people who would prefer the war go on forever. Trump is experienced enough to suspect the same. He may be disgusted with the players, but deals are not put together through press conferences and public insults. Both sides must trust the designated intermediary, who will need presidential backing, consummate skill, and tight lips to conduct the necessary shuttle diplomacy of a Henry Kissinger, Howard Baker, or George Kennon.

Unlike when we went into the Middle East to fight for everybody under the sun, Trump is seeking something in return for our help.

I don't think that Z is going to make it past the next election. I also think he will be happy to leave the Ukraine and enjoy life with his millions in a nice mansion somewhere. He is not a good leader.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Feb. 21 declined to allow the Trump administration to immediately fire Office of Special Counsel chief Hampton Dellinger. The court ruled that, at least for the time being, it will allow a temporary block of Dellinger’s firing to stand until it expires next week. The application by the Trump administration to undo the order which is set to expire on Feb. 26, will be “held in abeyance”—or delay action—until that date. The Trump administration argued it had the authority to fire Dellinger even though he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate. The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Feb. 16 to allow it to fire

The University of Notre Dame has been on a decades-long warpath of undermining its Catholic mission at the altar of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideology. But that drive could be on a collision course with the Trump administration’s threat to revoke federal funding from DEI schools. Just before the Jan. 20 inauguration of President Donald Trump, Notre Dame Provost John McGreevy sent a faculty-wide email stating that the hiring priorities of the school were to increase “the number of women and underrepresented minorities” and that those DEI goals were “equally important” to hiring Catholic faculty.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has charged that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to “hustle” the US by claiming in public that he unilaterally rejected a deal to sign away half of his nation’s rare earth minerals — while telling American negotiators in private that he would discuss the matter with Kyiv’s legislature. Rubio said the misrepresentation enraged him, Vice President JD Vance, and Russia and Ukraine special envoy Keith Kellogg after the trio met Zelensky at the Munich Security Conference last weekend and discussed the finer points of the $500 billion economic investment deal, which the Trump administration has described as a security guarantee to Kyiv.

Over the past decade, a growing divide has emerged within the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), as denominational leaders have increasingly framed left-leaning border policies as a Christian imperative. Last week, Baptist Press, the official news service of the SBC, published an article by Trevin Wax, a vice president at the SBC’s North American Mission Board, in which he defended his denomination’s participation in “refugee resettlement” against those he claimed have a “deep misunderstanding of how disaster relief, foster care or refugee resettlement takes place.”

The grants also helped fund discriminatory staff recruiting strategies that targeted candidates based on their race. “It’s hard to overstate how radical these teacher trainings are — we are talking about forcing teachers to talk about their race at work, asking educators to ‘take personal and institutional responsibility for systemic inequities,’ promoting abolitionist

The provisions could enable Mexico to criminally pursue anyone involved in those investigations. The changes come after the United States designated six Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and announced the intent to eradicate them. This week, Sheinbaum filed a series of changes to the country’s constitution that, if approved by the legislative branch, would change Articles 40 and 19 of Mexico’s constitution.

The Washington Post first reported late Thursday, citing numerous anonymous sources, that President Donald Trump planned to disband the US Postal Service’s Board of Governors and place the agency under direct control of the Commerce Department and Secretary Howard Lutnick. Bosses at the chain are in urgent talks with lenders and advisers as the popular chain tries to address $300 million of debts, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. Earlier this year, Hooters shuttered around 40 'underperforming' restaurants including locations Florida, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia as it bid to cut costs. But debts are mounting and more drastic action is needed for the 41-year-old brand. If Hooters cannot refinance its debt, it would have to consider bankruptcy and more closures.
