President Donald Trump scored a significant legal win Monday in his lawsuit against the members of the Pulitzer Prize Board, paving the way towards the discovery phase in their courtroom battle. Last week, the board members filed a motion for Protective Order Governing Discovery in hopes of shielding their internal communications involving the decision to award The New York Times and The Washington Post a Pulitzer Prize for their reporting on Russiagate during Trump's first term in office. Judge Robert L. Pegg of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Okeechobee County, Florida, stuck down their motion.

Mexican drug cartels are ordering their members to target U.S. Border Patrol agents with kamikaze drones and other explosives amid a crackdown at the southern border by the Trump administration. An internal memo titled "Officer Safety Alert" cited social media posts and other sources for the warning to federal agents, the New York Post reported. Agents were reminded to be "cognizant of their surroundings" and should be wearing their ballistic armor and utilizing their long firearms.

In the aftermath of former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard's confirmation hearing last Thursday, there were doubts expressed over whether she'd be able to win enough support from the nine Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee to advance her nomination for Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to a full floor vote.Despite a strong showing during the hearing in the face of nasty treatment from several Democrats on the committee, some GOP Senators reportedly were conflicted about, among other things, a trip to Syria she took in 2017 and her refusal to refer to former NSA intelligence contractor/whistleblower/leaker Edward Snowden as a "traitor."

For thousands of years, going back to the Bible, women have wept and grieved and pleaded to God over their miscarriages. Indeed, it took all these millennia for modern-day pharmaceutical companies to develop solutions to this ongoing nightmare.
In the 1940s, they were happy to offer doctors the ability to prescribe diethylstilbestrol (DES) to prevent miscarriage. “You can tell them you would give it to your wife,” the marketing mavens from Big Pharma suggested to physicians.
And with good reason.

It was predicted that the changing demographics of America – specifically, more racial minorities – would deliver permanent control of the government to the Democrats by now.
Instead, over the past few years the Democrats have lost the Presidency, the Senate, the House, a majority of governorships, a majority of state legislatures, and the Supreme Court.
This isn’t just about Donald Trump, though his approval ratings are higher than ever while Joe Biden’s (who?) are lower than ever. It’s broader than that. The approval ratings of Democrats are at historic lows in general, while the approval ratings for Republicans are near all-time highs.

WASHINGTON - U.S. President Donald Trump's advisers are mulling executive actions to dismantle the Education Department as part of a campaign by billionaire Elon Musk and his allies to reduce the size of the government's workforce, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
U.S. officials have discussed an executive order that would shut down all functions of the Education Department that are not written explicitly into statute or move certain functions to other departments, the report said, citing sources.
The planned order would call for developing a legislative proposal to abolish the department, the newspaper reported, adding Trump advisers were still debating the specifics and the timing of such an order.

Washington— President Trump signed an executive order Monday to create a sovereign US wealth fund — saying that TikTok may become one of its first acquisitions.
The world’s largest and wealthiest sovereign funds are owned by China and resource-rich countries like Norway and Middle Eastern emirates.
It was not immediately specified how the US endowment — whose creation was first reported last month by The Post’s Charles Gasparino — would be capitalized, but Trump previously floated using tariff proceeds.
It’s unclear if adding a stake in TikTok would require up-front investment, or if Beijing would offload it without charge to avoid looming 10% levies that Trump announced Friday.

The tragic midair collision of an American Airlines plane and a military helicopter last week in Washington DC has sadly brought DEI hiring practices to the forefront of American politics. It’s one thing, after all, for leftists to practice their dumb, counterproductive, unfair ‘social justice’ policies in the halls of academia or their woke corporations, but it’s quite another to do it when actual lives are at stake, and they’ve been doing it for years. So when dozens are snuffed out in an instant and there’s even the slightest chance DEI could have been a fraction of the culprit for what was obviously a huge series of massive mistakes,

Steel has been one of the foundations of industry for hundreds of years. Steel was first produced in bloomery and crucible furnaces in small batches as early as 4,000 years ago. In Roman times, Spanish steel was favored for swords. And, in time, iron and steel-making became a major industry in the United States. However, the American steel industry has suffered some in recent decades from foreign competition, and tariffs have been used almost from the country's founding to shore up American steel; in 1791, Treasure Secretary Alexander Hamilton proposed tariffs on steel, among other things, to bolster the growing American industries. All the tariffs he proposed were adopted.

A Michigan woman (we will call her “Gina”) is being hailed as a hero for her fast-acting decision to reach inside her purse and hit “record” on a “voice recording” app on her cell phone when she was approached by a woman who attempted to convince her to commit fraud by knowingly registering to vote in two different counties.
Voters who knowingly or unknowingly vote from more than one address in the same election are guilty of a felony. So, why would this canvasser try to convince Gina to commit a felony by registering to vote and then allowing the canvassing group to assign her an address so she can vote

President Trump and Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum announced Monday that they had agreed a one-month pause on the imposition of a 25% across-the-board tariff by the US in exchange for concessions on border security by Mexico while a broader deal gets negotiated.
As part of the temporary pause, Sheinbaum agreed to reinforce the US-Mexico border with 10,000 personnel from her country’s National Guard, to help crack down on fentanyl dissemination and illegal immigration into the US, per statements from the two leaders. The US also agreed to ramp up efforts to prevent the trafficking of weapons into Mexico, according to Sheinbaum, who had a call with Trump

President Trump entered the White House for the second time with a bold agenda, which included a spate of executive orders on a wide range of issues. Even the media had trouble keeping up with the changes. But how was Trump’s flurry of orders received by average Americans? They liked it, with the exception of Democrats, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
The online I&I/TIPP Poll queried 1,478 adults across the nation on their view of 12 key Trump executive orders, intended to kick-start his second term in office and set a new direction for U.S. policy. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.6 percentage points.

I never thought that I would see a Republican figure out the real pillars of Democratic Party power and attack them. Republicans have been too stupid, too scared, and too entwined in the grift to defund the nexus of political power that has led to so many of our problems.
Trump is doing precisely that, and if he succeeds, the Democratic Party in its current form will be dead. There will be a Democratic Party of some kind, but it will look nothing like the one that exists today.
There are plenty of ordinary Democrat voters who support the party because they believe that it represents their values.

USAID is mostly dead. I say "mostly" dead because Miracle Max may still find a way to use a bellow to revive it, but as far as I remember, the process required true love, and the only true love USAID had was for cold hard cash. USAID has been one of the key centers of resistance, with deep ties to the Intelligence Community, NGOs, foreign governments, consulting firms, and, of course, the State Department. It disperses tens of billions of dollars, a tiny percentage of which gets to actual aid recipients, and believe it or not helped fund the Wuhan lab and, therefore, the creation of COVID.

"We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America," Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama promised on the campaign trail in 2008. Up until that moment, Obama had carefully couched his red diaper radicalism in the language of moderation, of healing, of "one America."
It's impossible to say for sure whether Obama accidentally let slip the real foundation of his candidacy or if he was feeling so cocky that close to election day that he felt he could get away with anything. But I've always felt it was the latter.

Republicans on Capitol Hill have largely fallen in line with Donald Trump’s move to impose tariffs on the US’s biggest trading partners, with the notable exception of the former Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, who called it a “bad idea”.
With even Trump admitting that the tariffs – 25% on imports from Canada and Mexico and 10% on China – might cause “some pain”, there was mostly strong support from the president’s loyalists. Jason Smith, chair of the ways and means committee of the House of Representatives, said the tariffs would “send a powerful message that the United States will no longer stand by

The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court will soon decide whether Lower Merion has the authority to limit where guns are sold in the community. The ruling, which will be the next step in a two-year saga over zoning laws, could have implications not just for the township, but for the power of local governments across Pennsylvania. While Pennsylvania state law strictly prohibits local governments from regulating guns, Lower Merion officials have argued that prohibition doesn’t extend to zoning, which regulates land use. If the township wins the case, it may empower other communities to follow suit, and protect several municipalities across the state that already limit gun sales to specific zones.

President Donald Trump on Monday said that he will pause for one month his new 25% tariff on goods entering the United States from Mexico after Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum agreed to immediately send 10,000 soldiers to her country's northern border to prevent drug trafficking.
The announcement of the pause came two days after Trump slapped 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada, as well as a 10% tariff on goods imported from China. "We had a good conversation with President Trump with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty; we reached a series of agreements," Sheinbaum wrote in the tweet, according to a translation from Spanish.

The diversity, equity, and inclusion project, often seen as a major element of the so-called “woke” creed along with green fanaticism, keeps popping up as a possible subtext in a variety of recent tragedies. In the case of the Los Angeles fires, Mayor Karen Bass, who cut the fire department budget, was warned of the mounting fire dangers of the Santa Anna winds and parched brush on surrounding hillsides. No matter—she junketed in Uganda. When furor followed, on cue, her defenders decried a racialist attack on “a black woman.”

Dozens of Democrat leaders are reportedly struggling to find a “coherent message” to fight President Donald Trump.
The New York Times reported Sunday that, at private meetings and public events, Democrats “appear leaderless, rudderless, and divided.”
Democrats have elected Ken Martin to be their next Democrat National Committee (DNC) chair, who will conduct a post-election review largely based on tactics and messaging.
Now, the Times said after more than 50 interviews with Democrat leaders they cannot figure out what the party should stand for, what issues they should focus on, and how to confront Trump.

They’re cleaning house, and there’s nothing these DC bureaucrats can do about it. Even when they try to fight back, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has the full backing of the White House. If they want access to systems, they’ll get it. In short, whatever they want, they get, as USAID found out. A top staffer at that agency tried to counter a DOGE order—the White House placed the troublesome official on leave. This move came after the Trump White House and DOGE recently ordered dozens of security officials to be placed under a similar administrative designation.

An overwhelming number of New Yorkers support deporting illegal-migrant criminals, a new poll reveals.
Nearly 80% of New Yorkers statewide told Siena College pollsters that they back kicking out undocumented migrants who have been convicted of a crime, with that figure including 69% of Democrats and 71% of Latinos, the survey released Monday says.
The new numbers come as federal immigration officials have been conducting high-profile illegal-migrant arrests around the Empire State in the last week. (Photo) Siena also asked registered voters in the poll more specifically whether New York should support President Trump’s deportation initiatives, to which they were less enthusiastic.

That letter also handed Big Tech the justification to censor the story across social media, making it one of the most brazen examples of election interference in U.S. history.

In December of 2016 when we discussed the possibility of President Trump’s then new and unique tariff approach, we predicted negligible impact – if any at all. It was a theory at the time, but predicated on the looming possibility that impacted nations would inevitably devalue their currency. It was the currency devaluation, in combination with directed subsidies, that would offset any tariff impact to U.S. consumers. By the time we got to December 2019, we were no longer discussing theory. Deflation due to currency devaluation, subsidy and a rising dollar actually became reality. President Trump on Sunday defended his decision to impose sweeping tariffs on the United States’s top three trading partners, even as he acknowledged there may be “some pain” caused by the economic fallout.
Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday morning after he signed off on 25 percent tariffs on Canada, 25 percent tariffs on Mexico and 10 percent tariffs on China, which appear likely to set off a significant trade war. Trump hit back at critics and argued the decision was necessary because of “major” trade deficits with those countries.

President Donald Trump recently floated a fantastic idea: Arab nations, he said, should accept large numbers of Gazans as refugees, a move that “could be temporary or long term.”
The accommodation would allow Israel to eliminate the remnants of Hamas, which, in turn, would allow the international community to rebuild Gaza.
Not only would such a policy enhance the prospects of peace, but it’s also humane.
While Gazans shouldn’t be compelled to move from their homes, they should be allowed to escape the generational tragedy foisted on them by the Arab world and their nihilistic leaders. And Israelis should monetarily incentivize them to move to safer environs.

Last time Trump was president, he and his appointees were sabotaged and obstructed by Machiavellian Deep-Staters who perverted concepts such as “due process” into protective shields around wrongdoers and turned them into weapons against their adversaries — that is, anyone trying to carry out the wishes of the democratically elected president.

In a striking prediction, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Europe would eventually come under the influence of President Donald Trump. Putin’s comments reflect the rising concern among European elite leaders about the return of a strong America led by Trump, whose "America First" policies could alter the balance of power on the global stage. For conservatives, this prediction may validate Trump’s approach to international relations, which prioritized national sovereignty and held European allies accountable for their own defense and economic commitment, making it clear that Trump’s influence remains a formidable force in the world.
