As we reported earlier, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) made it clear the left was going to be ramping up their protests in the streets against President Donald Trump. Their claims are truly unhinged — because special government employees, Elon Musk and his DOGE team, are operating as part of the Executive Office of the President to review government expenditures.
Yet Democrats have been leveling all kinds of crazy accusations against Trump and Musk, especially since Musk has been looking into the hornet's nest that is USAID. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) even accused Musk of "raiding the government, attempting to steal taxpayer money" from the Treasury Department.

We are living at a truly momentous time in history. Donald Trump illustrated that yet again on Tuesday evening during his press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “You have to learn from history,” Trump declared and proceeded to upend the political order that has prevailed in the Middle East for decades. It is a multiply failed order and new approaches are very, very long overdue, but no one has dared to question it and suggest new solutions. Until now.
The most momentous announcement of this most momentous of press conferences was Trump’s declaration that Hamas would not be permitted to regain control of Gaza and that, in fact,

Black History Month has been a regular feature of life at Air Force bases around the world for decades. No longer.
A directive from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, headlined "Identity Months Dead at DoD," wipes Black History Month and similar celebrations off the military calendar — starting immediately.
"Our unity and purpose are instrumental to meeting the Department's warfighting mission. Efforts to divide the force — to put one group ahead of another — erode camaraderie and threaten mission execution,” Hegseth said in the directive, formally known as a "guidance."
“Going forward, DoD Components and Military Departments will not use official resources, to include man-hours, to host celebrations or events

Ahhh, the Super Bowl. Where families gather to watch the big game. Eat lots of food. Drink some. Party a little. Get together with friends to laugh, chill, hang out. It's one of the few moments, the extremely few, few moments, where Americans genuinely come together.
We put aside politics. We put aside our differences. We take part in a great American tradition. It's actually pretty cool. Well, it was. Because now President Donald Trump is attending the game.
Punchbowl News was the first to report that Trump will attend Super Bowl 59 between Philadelphia and Kansas City in New Orleans. So the most divisive

Many have wondered why the surge of protests against President Donald Trump and his administration has been scattered and, compared to the usual vitriol, a tad muted. My suspicion is that thanks to Kamala Harris' campaign excesses and the lawfare, the coffers and foot soldiers were depleted. Apparently, someone <*cough... George Soros...cough*> injected an infusion of cash to fund astroturf protests on Wednesday across the 50 United States capitals.
The 50501 Movement—or 50 states, 50 protests, one day—is garnering support throughout social media over its plan to stage demonstrations across the nation to "fight Fascism" on February 5.

Philosopher Eric Hoffer once wrote, “Nothing is so unsettling to a social order as the presence of a mass of scribes without suitable employment and an acknowledged status.”
As President Trump, Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency get on with their business of trimming waste, fraud, abuse and graft from the federal budget — a business that is vitally important, given the government’s parlous financial outlook — they need to keep this in mind.
Less than two weeks in, DOGE teams poring over federal spending records are discovering all sorts of problems.

President Donald Trump unveiled an executive order reinstating a "maximum pressure" campaign against Iran on Tuesday, coinciding with a visit from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.
Trump voiced that he was "torn" about signing the order and admitted he was "unhappy to do it," noting that the executive order was very tough on Iran.
"Hopefully, we're not going to have to use it very much," Trump told reporters Tuesday.
Trump later told reporters in a joint press conference with Netanyahu that he believes Iran is "close" to developing a nuclear weapon, but that the U.S. would stop a "strong" Tehran from obtaining one.

On Monday, I wrote an article describing the Democrats as being "scattered, demoralized, and leaderless" and it's becoming more obvious every day that the party is desperate for any foothold they can get. It seems they're at the "throw everything against the wall and see what sticks" phase, and CBS really reached into the depths of the internet to find what they must consider an interesting strategy.
It's "be mean to Republicans."
But not just any kind of mean, dear reader. CBS is talking about being "Regina George" mean. You know, the villain from "Mean Girls." I wish I was kidding, but this is exactly what CBS wanted to highlight

Police in Sweden say about 10 people killed in shooting at school for adults in the city of Orebro
By Tucker Reals
Updated on: February 4, 2025 / 2:12 PM EST / CBS News
Police in Sweden said Tuesday that "about 10 people" were killed in a shooting earlier in the day at a school for adults in the city of Orebro, west of Stockholm. The police offered very little information on the incident throughout the most of the day, saying only that five people were wounded, including the suspected shooter, before suddenly confirming the initial death toll at about 6 p.m. local time (noon Eastern).
The shooting occurred at the Campus Risbergska school,

The White House is preparing an executive order to eliminate the Department of Education, two sources familiar with the plans told NBC News.
President Donald Trump cannot unilaterally abolish a federal agency without the approval of Congress.
The planned order follows years of campaign promises from Trump to abolish the federal Education Department, which was established in 1979, during President Jimmy Carter's administration.
In September 2023, the then-candidate posted a video to social media saying, “One other thing I’ll be doing very early in the administration is closing up the Department of Education in Washington D.C., and sending all education and education work and needs back to the states.”

President Trump is expected to sign an executive order Wednesday banning transgender athletes from competing in girls’ and women’s sports, the latest in a string of executive actions from the new administration taking aim at LGBTQ rights.
The order, which Trump is expected to sign Wednesday afternoon, coincides with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which is recognized annually in February to celebrate the accomplishments of female athletes. The Women’s Sports Foundation, which co-founded National Girls and Women in Sports Day in 1987, has opposed categorical bans on transgender athletes, saying such policies “limit opportunities and harm the development of both cisgender and transgender girls and women.”

Washington — The U.S. government is moving quickly to implement President Trump's order to turn facilities at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base into a large-scale immigration detention center, with plans to transport the first group of migrant detainees there on Tuesday, two U.S. officials told CBS News.
Last week, Mr. Trump instructed his administration to dramatically expand detention space inside the naval base to detain as many as 30,000 "high-priority" unauthorized immigrants with criminal records. Since then, officials from across the government, including the Departments of Defense, State and Homeland Security, have scrambled to implement the president's directive.
