Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) apparently wants America to mimic Denmark’s financial system in a pivot that would further burden taxpayers.
In a recent social media post, Sanders suggested the United States adopt the Dane’s system wherein steep taxes ensure citizens may enjoy universal healthcare, a college education at no cost, and guaranteed paid leave, Shore News Network reported.
Denmark controls Greenland, and President Donald Trump said in December prior to his inauguration that American ownership of Greenland is an “absolute necessity” for national security and freedom, per Breitbart News.
Sanders appeared to be referring to that issue in his social media post.

Residents of Pacific Palisades, California, were finally given permission by local authorities to return to visit their fire-ravaged lots and homes after President Donald Trump intervened at a town hall on Friday and urged a speedy return.
Trump had prodded Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to allow residents to return and begin clearing the damage so that they can rebuild. After she appeared to say that they could return “within a week,” Trump said that was far too long.
By Saturday, residents — some relying on the president’s promise of a speedy reopening — began flocking to police checkpoints and demanding to return to portions of the town

A California woman has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for organizing a Chinese birth tourism scheme.
Phoebe Dong, 47, was sentenced to 41 months in prison and immediately taken into custody in Los Angeles on Monday.
Dong and her husband’s “USA Happy Baby” business helped pregnant Chinese women travel to the United States to give birth so that their children would have automatic United States citizenship.
Dong and her husband, Michael Wei Yueh Liu, 59, were both convicted of conspiracy and money laundering in September. The couple helped at least 100 women travel to the U.S. to give birth.
Liu was also sentenced to 41 months in prison in December.

Disgrace General Mark “White Rage” Milley finally got his long-awaited comeuppance.
Fox News exclusively reported Tuesday evening that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will “immediately” pull retired Gen. Mark Milley’s personal security detail and security clearance.
But the news gets even better: Hegseth will order the new acting Inspector General to conduct a review to ascertain whether evidence exists for Milley to lose a star in retirement due to his deceitful actions “undermining the chain of command” during President Donald Trump’s first term.
Fox News also reports that a second portrait of Milley will be removed inside the Pentagon. This one is from the Army’s Marshall Corridor on the third floor,

A family seeking justice from a botched FBI raid will have their day in court. It's not their first time, but it's the biggest time: The Supreme Court has agreed to take up the case.
Curtrina Martin and her family were resting peacefully in their home when the FBI rushed in, threw a flash grenade, and arrested her then-fiancee Hilliard Toi Cliatt. The whole episode traumatized Martin, Cliatt, and Martin's seven-year-old son.
The FBI had the wrong house. In fact, they weren't even on the right street. The house they were looking for was 3741 Landau Lane, while Martin's home address was 3756 Denville Trace.

“You must not knowingly enter the District of Columbia without first obtaining the permission from the Court. … You must not knowingly enter the United States Capitol Building or onto surrounding grounds known as Capitol Square.”

Despite Trump's best efforts to rein in federal spending and hold agencies accountable for the use of their funds for federal loans, grants, and non-profit assistance, a federal judge has halted the forward momentum of these endeavors spearheaded through Trump's executive order. [Tweet]
A U.S. judge on Tuesday temporarily paused part of the Trump administration's sweeping directive to pause federal loans, grants and other financial assistance, granting a win to advocacy groups who said the policy would be devastating.
U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan ordered the Trump administration not to block funding to existing programs until Feb. 3 at a hearing in Washington, D.C., federal court.

Last week, I saw the signs and predicted what the left's narrative was going to be that would hurt the Trump administration. The theme would be "cruelty," as in everything Trump does, everything his supporters do, and every consequence suffered by his victims, would revolve around cruelty.
I even said that you'd see the word itself pop up repeatedly. Sure enough, I was proven right. I'm not patting myself on the back here. In truth, the left is just too easily predictable. [Tweet]
Right now, the most "cruel" thing Trump is doing is the deportations or, more accurately, the repatriations that are happening in impressive numbers.

Amazingly, it turns out that sometimes all the guy in charge has to do is to remove impediments from his people and let them get on with the job. That's what President Trump is doing with Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol, and it's working, as illegal border crossings are way down, and we are filling up C-17s with illegal aliens who are being repatriated back to where they belong.
In Chicago, that city's ICE Director is praising President Trump for, as he puts it, taking the handcuffs off.

On Monday, the Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ed Martin, announced that his office would undertake a review of the decision-making that led to the charging of hundreds of January 6 protesters with “obstructing Congress” in violation of 18 U.S.C. Sec. 1512(c). That was a statute passed by Congress in 2005 to address an alleged hole revealed in an obstruction of justice statute criminalizing the destruction of records, documents, materials, etc., to obstruct an investigation. The “hole” was the fact that the language of the existing statute made it a crime to direct third parties to undertake such obstructive acts,

President Trump is kicking butt. He'd be taking names as well, but he's been so busy, he doesn't even have time to take initials!!
