Is there some kind of implosion going on in Colombia?
Hours after President Trump announced sanctions on the onetime ally for refusing to accept two planeloads of repatriated illegals after agreeing to take them, Colombia's far-left president, Gustavo Petro, now has massive street protests from the locals angry over the foolish fight he picked. The locals have very good reasons for being angry:.
The U.S. imports 17% of its coffee from Colombia. But 40% of all of Colombia's exports go to the U.S. A 50% tariff is going to hurt them more than a reciprocal tariff will hurt us.

While speaking Saturday in Las Vegas, President Donald Trump suggested, as he had during the 2024 campaign, replacing the federal income tax with tariffs on foreign imports. We don’t need to see an economic analysis to believe this is debate worth having. Of all the good Trump could do as president in the next four years, eliminating the federal income tax would be one of his greatest achievements.
“If the tariffs work out like I think, a thing like that could happen, if you want to know the truth,” he said.

Qatar wants the Palestinian Authority (PA) government to collect the garbage, rebuild destroyed houses, and pay salaries to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, while Hamas is busy rearming, regrouping and getting ready for the next attack on Israel.
[T]he PA government in Ramallah, the de facto capital of the Palestinians in the West Bank, decided to suspend the broadcasts of the Qatar-owned Al-Jazeera television for supporting and promoting Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups. Israel and some Arab states had also shut down the broadcasts for the same reason.

Americans are unifying behind President Trump far more than we did in 2017. Eight years ago, cries of “not my president” resounded through Washington, DC, but this year, it seems the hard-left “resistance” has gone out with a whimper.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case inside the federal government.
A new poll from Napolitan News showed that 64% of the federal bureaucrats who work in DC and voted for Kamala Harris vow not to implement a lawful order from Trump if they consider it bad policy.

President Donald Trump indicated Saturday that he would like to “just clean out” Gaza and send the bombed-out Palestinian refugees from there to neighboring Middle Eastern nations.
During an extended question-and-answer on Air Force One, President Trump floated the idea of moving Palestinians to create a clean slate.
“I’d like Egypt to take people,” the president said, the AP reports, adding, “You’re talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, ‘You know, it’s over.’”

Diplomacy, negotiations, or a new "deal," have no hope of limiting the regime's plans either for a nuclear weapons breakout or for "exporting the revolution" after Trump has safely left office.
"There's a one in trillion chance you'll degrade the Iranian nuclear program through diplomacy. There's a 90% chance you'll degrade it through military action by Israel, supported by the United States." — US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Politico, January 19, 2025.
An empowered, nuclear-armed Iran would no doubt increase its support for its terrorist proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, as well as most likely triggering the mother of all nuclear arms-races.

OK, we admit, we haven’t actually counted the number of reporters’ questions President Donald Trump has answered since being sworn in. And four years is certainly an exaggeration. In any case, someone covering the White House should keep track, because it won’t take long for Trump to beat Biden on this score.
Biden held the fewest number of press conferences of any modern president. He would answer questions only from pre-selected reporters. He had to have a cheat sheet with him at all times to give his answers, and even then the White House would often have to rush out to correct the record.

Senators are looking for excuses over reasons to refuse President Donald Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard — a combat veteran who previously served as a Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii and now faces character assassination.
Gabbard, who is meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill Thursday afternoon, committed two crimes that now threaten to derail her confirmation: leaving the Democrat party and campaigning against the interventionist impulses of the deep state war machine.

Are the L.A. wildfires — which have razed more than 38,000 acres (57 sq. miles), the equivalent of a midsize city like Minneapolis — a chance outbreak? Or is there a design behind this Firepocalypse? More specifically, is it part of a concerted attempt by the global elite to use fire, floods, and fear to push so-called “sustainable” goals for the Great Reset?
Many may dismiss those suspicions as alarmist. But a look at the big picture — including fires from recent years, weather manipulation programs, and plans for depopulation and rewilding — shows they are not unfounded. The unpreparedness for the L.A. fires,

While President Trump is enacting big, bold, audacious plans for America, it might be time to scrap all services at the activist-oriented National Cathedral and start a different tradition in a more welcoming, inclusive place.
It’s no secret that traditional religious denominations in America have long been on a downward spiral, closing their doors for good. It should also come as no surprise that the Episcopal church has been one of the hardest hit groups. One expert on the denomination even said that on its current course, the Episcopal church could disappear by 2050.
I can totally see that happening.

President Trump announced Wednesday that he selected Sean Curran, one of the agents who rushed on stage during the Butler, Pa., assassination attempt, to serve as director of the Secret Service in his second term.
“Sean is a Great Patriot, who has protected my family over the past few years, and that is why I trust him to lead the Brave Men and Women of the United States Secret Service,” the president wrote in a Truth Social post.
Trump, 78, touted Curran’s 23 years in the Secret Service and his work as assistant special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division during his first term.

When President Donald Trump gave his inaugural address in the U.S. Capitol on Monday, he included an explanation of his trade policy.
"I will immediately begin the overhaul of our trade system to protect American workers and their families," he said. How will he do this? By imposing tariffs on imports.
"Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens," he said. "For this purpose, we are establishing the External Revenue Service to collect all tariffs, duties and revenues. It will be massive amounts of money pouring into our Treasury, coming from foreign sources."
