Abandon the National Cathedral

While President Trump is enacting big, bold, audacious plans for America, it might be time to scrap all services at the activist-oriented National Cathedral and start a different tradition in a more welcoming, inclusive place. It’s no secret that traditional religious denominations in America have long been on a downward spiral, closing their doors for good. It should also come as no surprise that the Episcopal church has been one of the hardest hit groups. One expert on the denomination even said that on its current course, the Episcopal church could disappear by 2050. I can totally see that happening.

Susan Harris hit a grand slam with this piece. I agree. Time to ditch the National Cathedral. Why is this service needed with all the prayers at the inauguration?

She makes it sound like the Episcopal church contracted a virus or something. Nothing "hit it". It rotted from within.

I lived in Northern Virginia when about eleven conservative Episcopal congregations eventually lost their properties to the Episcopal Church, and these congregations had to find other facilities. At lest one of the congregations I visited had built and paid for their facility. They had stopped giving money to the main Episcopal Church, and instead set the money aside for their buiding project. Also three of these congregations were historic ones, including The Falls Church, worshipped in by George Washigton. I visited a couple of these churches for various functions. I remember the earthquake of 2011, sitting at my computer and feeling the tremor. It took me a bit to realize what had just happened, since I had never experienced an earthquake. In November 2014 the Cathedral leadership hosted Muslims to hold their Friday prayer service in the Cathedral space. as "an appreciation of one another’s prayer traditions and is a powerful symbolic gesture toward a deeper relationship between the two Abrahamic traditions." Fools. Muslims would have seen this as Islam having claimed (i.e., conquered) a Christian structure for Islam.

My mother passed away 10 years ago, and the last check she wrote before she passed was a donation to the National Cathedral whose architecture she loved. At least once a year, they send begging letters to her at my address. They go straight into the trash.

#4, the same thing happened here in Charleston, SC with the Episcopal Diocese taking over the properties of various churches in the area. I attend a very conservative Anglican Church which was build in 1706 and was here long before there was an Episcopal diocese. It took almost a decade of court battles but we stopped the diocese from seizing our property by proving that our church was there before they were and they had no right to it.

Sounds right to me. This arrogant and disrespectful pastor thinks that she can lecture the President and indirectly all the people who voted for him to do EXACTLY what he is doing? The church leadership must have set this up and known what she was going to do. Let's just walk away.

In Two Days, Trump Answered More Reporter

OK, we admit, we haven’t actually counted the number of reporters’ questions President Donald Trump has answered since being sworn in. And four years is certainly an exaggeration. In any case, someone covering the White House should keep track, because it won’t take long for Trump to beat Biden on this score. Biden held the fewest number of press conferences of any modern president. He would answer questions only from pre-selected reporters. He had to have a cheat sheet with him at all times to give his answers, and even then the White House would often have to rush out to correct the record.

Senators are looking for excuses over reasons to refuse President Donald Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard — a combat veteran who previously served as a Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii and now faces character assassination. Gabbard, who is meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill Thursday afternoon, committed two crimes that now threaten to derail her confirmation: leaving the Democrat party and campaigning against the interventionist impulses of the deep state war machine.

Are the L.A. wildfires — which have razed more than 38,000 acres (57 sq. miles), the equivalent of a midsize city like Minneapolis — a chance outbreak? Or is there a design behind this Firepocalypse? More specifically, is it part of a concerted attempt by the global elite to use fire, floods, and fear to push so-called “sustainable” goals for the Great Reset? Many may dismiss those suspicions as alarmist. But a look at the big picture — including fires from recent years, weather manipulation programs, and plans for depopulation and rewilding — shows they are not unfounded. The unpreparedness for the L.A. fires,

When President Donald Trump gave his inaugural address in the U.S. Capitol on Monday, he included an explanation of his trade policy. "I will immediately begin the overhaul of our trade system to protect American workers and their families," he said. How will he do this? By imposing tariffs on imports. "Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens," he said. "For this purpose, we are establishing the External Revenue Service to collect all tariffs, duties and revenues. It will be massive amounts of money pouring into our Treasury, coming from foreign sources."

President Donald Trump became the second commander-in-chief ever to serve two non-consecutive terms on Monday. He was sworn in for a second time following two failed assassination attempts and an unprecedented campaign to imprison him. “The golden age of America begins right now,” Trump said. “From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world.” The president vowed to transform the nation into the “envy of every nation” beginning with a series of executive orders and efforts intended to unleash the economy, dismantle the leviathan of the administrative state, restore American patriotism, and embark on a new era of exploration in space.

There’s no other word for the sheer ambition and scope of President Donald Trump’s second inaugural address. Trump is back, with all the confidence of a man delivered from death for a purpose. Voters saved his political life and legacy by reelecting him in the face of every accusation and criminal charge against him. Trump has been given a second chance — by God and the country alike — and his address left no doubt he intends to use it to transform America. “The future is ours, and our golden age has just begun,” he promised.

The old Washington advice that Americans should watch what a president does and not what he says needs an urgent update. Donald Trump intends to say and do the very same things. That was the message and meaning of his unorthodox inauguration speech. He sat in the Oval Office before and the four years he spent trying to get back there have given him plenty of time to decide what he wants to do. The result is that his 30-minute address wasn’t one of those that is chock full of soaring rhetoric that reaches for the sky but-

Among the first, most urgent, orders of business for President Donald J. Trump should be to create a Maganomics "Manhattan Project" to develop a nuclear fusion reactor superior to China's tokamak. Communist China, which has a head-start, has just helped place a tokamak in Thailand. This century's great clean-energy revolution is science's newest frontier: producing inexpensive, unlimited energy through nuclear fusion. It is done in containers, called tokamaks, giant nuclear reactors to make and store it. Smaller reactors "barely 3 feet across" are already being developed in the US, including one in Idaho and two in northern Nevada.

Mexican authorities blocked a US military plane from deporting illegal migrants on Thursday after President Trump's immigration crackdown began. The flight was one of three that were set to take off on Thursday, alongside two Guatemala-bound Air Force C-17s carrying over 150 people, as part of what Trump has described as the largest mass deportation effort in US history. Deporting migrants to foreign countries requires permission from the incoming nation's government, which Mexico declined on Thursday.

If it gets stuck it could make it hard for penguin parents to feed their babies and some young could even starve.
