China is in a quandary. Their worldwide ambitions were dependent upon the EV industry bringing them billions of dollars to finance their floundering country and building up their military. I believe "Paper Tiger" is the current status.

My son who has served in various capacities in China for close to a decade tells me that for the CCP the US is the second ranking threat they are concerned about. No.1 is the Chinese People. With the Biden gang that situation was irrelevant. I am hoping we can start taking advantage of that under Trump.

#1. The cases of American born citizens of Chinese descent betraying the strategic interests of their country of birth are legion. #2. The cases of Taiwanese born citizens betraying the strategic interests of their country of birth are legendary. Defending anybody in such a situation is rife with intrigue and danger. In case of war, drop a low yield incredibly dirty nuke right down the "smokestack" of TSMC and call it a day. China rolling over Taiwan is a certainty, the traitors are paving the way, the pretext already exists. All we can do is attempt to deprive China of what they really want, the semiconductor industry, which we conveniently allowed them to steal from us. Shame on us, yet again.

If China attacks Taiwan, submarines from across Asia will be in the straits hunting mainland landing craft. They would all like to see China taken down a peg. And, if submarines from Japan, the Philippines, India and Vietnam can sneak in and secretly hit a blow against Xi, they will.

Taiwan has some pretty formidable geographic features making invasion from sea almost impossible. An invasion force of 400k plus would be needed with the initial wave. That is 3 times D-Day. A formal sea to ground invasion would rack up massive casualties, something I highly doubt the Chinese people would support. There are too many ways for that to fail and fail horribly and that failure would be the literal painful end of ANYONE in charge of the government in China at that moment.

A political war on the Hudson erupted Monday over New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and the MTA’s controversial $9 congestion toll. The MTA can now begin collecting the first-in-the-nation congestion fee on Sunday, Jan. 5, to enter Manhattan south of 60th Street — following a federal judge’s ruling in Newark. While Judge Leo Gordon said environmental mitigation concerns on the Jersey side of the Hudson have to be addressed, he chose not to issue a preliminary injunction to block implementation of the toll in his 72-page ruling.

Climate alarmists like President Joe Biden assure us that all we need do to avert the destruction of hurricanes—or at least to lessen it—is to sacrifice offerings to the climate gods by giving up our gas-guzzling internal combustion engines and paying indulgences to Al Gore or something. You see, humans as a species have sinned, and we must sacrifice our prosperity to prevent the end of the world. Unfortunately for the alarmists, the world stubbornly refuses to end, and even the supposed evidence they trot out as proof of impending doom doesn’t exactly mean what they think it means. Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Monday that she had a “great meeting” with President-elect Trump. “Today, President Trump and I had a great meeting to discuss our shared priorities for the President’s second term,” Bowser said in a statement on X. “President Trump and I both want Washington, DC to be the best, most beautiful city in the world and we want the capital city to reflect the strength of our nation.” It wasn’t Bowser and Trump’s first meeting. In 2016, Bowser met with Trump at Trump Tower, where they discussed his first transition into the White House, Axios reported. At the time, Bowser said the pair had a “wide-ranging conversation”

Weren't we promised that with the advent of the Biden administration, the adults would be back in charge? Yeah, about that, time is getting short for them to show up. On Monday, a report was relased that a Chinese hacker gained access to the U.S. Treasury Department. According to the report, this was a state-sponsored attack, and the hacker was affiliated with the Chinese government. Although the announcement was made on Monday, Fox News said officials learned about the breach on December 8. A spokesperson for the department said:

And we should do it without ritually disemboweling each other.

When Donald Trump won the election, Elon Musk captured the shifting media landscape perfectly. In a post on X, Musk declared, “You are the media now.” His words were met with outrage from legacy media, but time has proven him right. Traditional media, once trusted to hold power accountable, has devolved into little more than a PR wing for the Democratic Party—and Joe Biden in particular. The past week proved it. The National Archives recently released damning photographs showing Joe Biden meeting with Hunter Biden’s Chinese business associates. This directly contradicts Biden’s long-standing claim that he had no involvement in his son’s foreign business dealings.

oe Biden took a cheap shot at President-elect Trump in his remarks Sunday evening in St. Croix on the death of former President Jimmy Carter. (Photo) When asked by a reporter what Trump could take from Carter, Biden flashed a Carter-esque toothy smile while saying “decency” three times and then went on a brief diatribe comparing Carter to Trump. The reporter squeezed the question in as White House press wranglers were trying to shut down Biden and the assembled reporters and end the press availability. The reporter’s question was partially lost in cross talk, “Is there (anything?) President Trump could take from President Carter?” Biden answered:

Democrats are boasting that Jimmy Carter's death could overshadow Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration due to a long upheld tradition. Standard protocol states that all flags should be flown at half mast at federal buildings for 30 days following the death of a former president. Carter, the 39th U.S. President, died at 100 years old on Sunday afternoon, almost two years after entering hospice care and just 22 days before Trump's inauguration on January 20. Outspoken MAGA critics and Democrat voters have quipped that the half mast flags during such a pivotal moment are Carter's parting gift to Trump after their longstanding feud.
