Outgoing Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) wrote a scathing tweet about President Joe Biden after he granted clemency to 37 prisoners on federal death row who received life sentences without the potential for parole. He called it “horribly misguided and insulting,” especially regarding the two men convicted of murdering a student at Marshall University. The Democrat-turned-Independent said he felt a moral obligation to speak out against the outgoing president on behalf of the parents of Samantha Burns, a 19-year-old girl who was killed in November 2002. However, her remains were never found. Manchin said her family wrote letters to Biden pleading with him

Traitor Joe's evil minions did this. Joe was probably totally unaware. And turning vicious, convicted murderers loose is evil. And it is highly likely that one of these murderers will kill again.

He commuted the sentences for 37 of 40 death row convicts...apparently without regard to the seriousness of the crimes, the prosecutors, or the families complaints....WHO are the remaining 3? Why didn't THEY get the same "gift"? Several news outlets have mentioned those pardoned, none so far has described or named the 3 left behind. (personally, I suspect he only did so because otherwise the prison where they had been kept would have to shut down, face major financial/grant/funding alterations, and the Govt workers there would throw a fit, as would the local Dems holding office....a federal Max Prison is a YUUUUGE cash cow for the city nearby)

Um, I loathe Pedo Joe just as much as the rest of you, but he didn’t set any of those murderers free. He just moved them from death row to another part of the prison where they will live out the rest of their lives. If any of them do kill again, it will be a fellow inmate or a prison guard. #2, the remaining three guys on death row are Dylan Roof, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Robert Bowers.

Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) will be reelected Speaker of the House because no member of the Freedom Caucus could not get the 218 votes needed. Partial transcript as follows: JONATHAN KARL: First of all, let’s start right there with Mike Johnson. Does he get re-elected speaker of the House? Should he be? LAWLER: Yes, and yes. The fact is that Mike Johnson inherited a disaster when Matt Gaetz and several of my colleagues teamed up with 208 Democrats to remove Kevin McCarthy, which will go down as the single stupidest thing I’ve ever seen

A passenger aboard the doomed Jeju Air flight texted a relative with a final message moments before the plane slammed into a concrete barrier and burst into flames in South Korea, killing 179 people. One of the passengers aboard the jet, which flew from Thailand to Muan International Airport Sunday morning, texted a relative that a bird was stuck in the plane’s wing, according to News1 agency. “Should I say my last words?” the passenger texted their relative, according to the outlet. (Photo) Video captured the horrifying moment the twin-engine Boeing 737-800 skidded down the runway with no working landing gear and slammed into a wall in a fiery explosion.

The Guardian Angels are resuming their patrols of the Big Apple’s subways as if it were crime-riddled Gotham in 1979, after the horrifying arson murder of a sleeping straphanger on a train last week, founder Curtis Sliwa said Sunday. The red-beret-wearing volunteer vigilante squad is beefing up its ranks to its level 45 years ago, Sliwa said. “We’re going to have to increase our numbers, increase the training and increase our presence as we did back in 1979,” Sliwa said at the Stillwell Avenue-Coney Island station in Brooklyn where the woman was killed.

In the 1960s, the left-wing radicalism of college students drove massive changes in American politics. The primary issue was the war in Vietnam, but there was more bubbling and churning beneath the surface than just anti-war sentiment. Racial issues had been forced fully into the open. The women's liberation movement was set to explode. Class divisions were heightened as inflation took hold and unemployment began to rise.At the same time that students were protesting in America, they were also marching in France, Germany, Great Britain, and most of Western Europe. The status quo was out. Progressivism (liberalism) was in. This was the beginning of the progressive era in America and

As we prepare to enter the new year, we’re taking you back to some of The Daily Wire’s best reporting from 2024. This article was originally published on November 30. President-elect Donald Trump has promised to eliminate the Department of Education, an ambitious goal that comes amid backlash to what critics say is the agency’s runaway spending and focus on “woke” indoctrination as American children’s grades decline. “I say it all the time, I’m dying to get back to do this. We will ultimately eliminate the federal Department of Education,” Trump said during a September rally in Wisconsin. “We will drain the government education swamp and stop the abuse

If you took about a hundred dumpsters, all on fire, loaded them on a train full of burning porta-potties, and crashed the whole thing into a giant pile of the stuff one normally finds under the south end of a northbound horse, that would be the Biden presidency. Befuddled and confused, inarticulate, showing flashes of unfounded anger and creepy whispering, Joe Biden will go down in history as one of the worst presidents in the history of the republic. We can take some comfort in knowing that Joe Biden will be vacating the White House on January 20th. But he's not going quietly into that good night; instead,

The schism may force Trump to ultimately take sides between the largely white, working-class supporters who first made MAGA succeed, and the techno-libertarian billionaires like Musk who are at the center of his new administration. The Left would love to see that, of course. Is there any reason why it should happen? The issue is the H-1B visa program. Forbes summarizes the schism:
