Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas insisted that there is nothing the federal government can do about the recent New Jersey drones because he has no “authority.” He told concerned Americans that the drones are not threatening to the United States, stating that they are most likely just “convenience store drones” or “planes.”
“We can't just shoot a drone out of the sky,” Mayorkas told CNN. “They’re very, well, maybe drones in the sky, of course, but those are commercially available. One can go into a convenience store and buy a small drone.”

A newly minted and massive Iranian drone carrier was captured in new satellite images sailing in the Persian Gulf this week — the ship’s first reported sighting since leaving its home port for the first time in mid-November.
The satellite images taken Thursday by commercial operator Maxar Technologies shows three Iranian drone ships in the waters off the country’s coast as theories have swirled in the US that Iran could be behind the mysterious drone sightings across the tri-state area, according to Business Insider.
Iran’s new carrier — the Shahid Bagheri — is a converted shipping container that was outfitted to support drone operations and was last seen on Nov. 12,

Given the state of affairs in Ukraine and the Middle East and the rise of China as a chief U.S. adversary, one would assume that the Department of Defense has its hands full combating real threats to U.S. national security. One would also assume that under the fraught geopolitics of the current world, the Department of Defense (DoD) would be harnessing its precious resources toward identifying future menaces that literally pose an existential threat to the security of the United States. [snip]
the leaders of the DoD think otherwise. In fact, the DoD believes that the climate crisis is a “national security priority.”

Texas heard that the Biden administration was auctioning off parts of the border wall, so they decided to grab their little paddle and a fist full of cash and get to bidding.
Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick made the announcement during an appearance with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Thursday night.
"I don't know if you've heard the latest today, Laura, but Joe Biden is now hauling off the border wall that's been lying down for years, and he wants to auction it off starting at $5 apiece," Patrick revealed.

Climate doomsayers appear to understand their alarmist message did not resonate on the national level during the 2024 election.
“Climate change” ranked dead last among the most important issues of the 2024 cycle, according to Pew Research.
Climate doomers are searching for a new way to impress their anti-capitalistic ideas on the American economy, the New York Times reported Tuesday.
Their newest strategy is to focus on pressuring local organizations, state agencies, and state commissions to change rules and laws, thereby effecting change on the local level where conservationists may be unsuspecting.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has proposed a one-time $300 payment to individuals earning $150,000 or less, and $500 to couples making $300,000 or less, her office announced Monday.
In what would be the state’s first “Inflation Refund,” Hochul wants to send about 8.6 million New Yorkers a few hundred dollars starting in fall 2025 if approved by the legislature, an official press release stated.
Around $3 billion in taxpayer funds would be allocated for the payments, which the governor called a “break” for her constituents.
.“Because of inflation, New York has generated unprecedented revenues through the sales tax — now, we’re returning that cash back to middle class families,

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has released a press statement reacting to Daniel Penny's acquittal in the death of Jordan Neely.
"As with every case, we followed the facts and the evidence found from the beginning to end," Bragg maintained.
After being deadlocked all day Friday, jurors reached Penny's not-guilty verdict within an hour of deliberations Monday morning on the remaining criminally negligent homicide charge. The prosecution decided to drop the top second-degree manslaughter charge Friday afternoon in a Hail Mary effort to salvage the crumbling case.

The list of stories on the corruption committed by Democrats in major cities across the country might rival the length of your average telephone book. In this latest, sordid situation on Friday, we find ourselves learning about alleged corruption in the city of Boston, thanks to a heads up by our friend Andy Ngo:
He wrote on his X account:
Tania Fernandes Anderson, a woke BLM Muslim former illegal migrant Democrat serving on the Boston City Council, has been arrested by the FBI after being indicted on five counts of aiding and abetting wire fraud and one count of aiding and abetting theft

Establishment Republican strategist Karl Rove attacked highly popular Vice President-elect JD Vance this week for his successful Senate bid in 2022, claiming he was a poor candidate.
Rove’s odd and unprompted insult came in a comment to the New York Times in an article published Thursday about Steven Law stepping down as head of the Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)-aligned Senate Leadership Fund super PAC:
“There was a candidate running in Ohio who was a terrible fund-raiser and was not a particularly effective candidate and the rest of the Republican ticket is winning by — from 18 to 24 points,” Mr. Rove said. “

Deflated by the resounding November defeat, the left now believes it can magically rebound by destroying President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees.
Many of Trump's picks are well outside the usual Washington, D.C./New York political, media, and corporate nexus.
But that is precisely the point -- to insert reformers into a bloated, incompetent, and weaponized government who are not part of it.
Trump's nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, is already drawing severe criticism.
His furious enemies cannot go after his resume since he has spent a lifetime in private, congressional, and executive billets, both in investigations and intelligence.

MSNBC president Rashida Jones is considering leaving the network after President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in to a second term in the White House as the left-leaning channel’s ratings crash, according to a report.
Jones – who took the helm in 2021 and became the first black woman to lead a major national news network – is mulling an exit from the job early next year, according to a report by Oliver Darcy in his Status newsletter.
The move would only come after Trump is sworn in to serve a second term as president on Jan. 20, Darcy reported, citing anonymous sources.

"Moving at the speed of business" was one of the great corporate slogans of our lifetimes. In just six words, UPS declared that they didn't just move fast, they expected their customers to. From 1995 to 2002, it was a boast and a compliment about speed, agility, and affordability — at a time when business adaptation of the internet demanded more and more of all three.
[snip] On Monday, Biden's Department of Energy announced a $7.5 billion loan to Stellantis and Samsung to build batteries in Indiana for cars no one is buying. How much do you want to bet that loan ever gets paid back?

As if we need more BS from Mayorkas and the Peanut Gallery in DC. Can you imaging him saying this on September 10th 2001?
