Why is the DoD focused on fighting climate change?

Given the state of affairs in Ukraine and the Middle East and the rise of China as a chief U.S. adversary, one would assume that the Department of Defense has its hands full combating real threats to U.S. national security. One would also assume that under the fraught geopolitics of the current world, the Department of Defense (DoD) would be harnessing its precious resources toward identifying future menaces that literally pose an existential threat to the security of the United States. [snip] the leaders of the DoD think otherwise. In fact, the DoD believes that the climate crisis is a “national security priority.”

This explains why balloons and drones fly unchallenged over the US, anyone is allowed to cross our borders, and our equipment and ammunition are given to other countries.

The DoD and most of the rest of government are more interested in controlling the climate, not fighting Climate Change. Some of the ideas floated and financed in the past involved constant nuclear explosions in the upper atmosphere to create ionization and block sunlight over critical areas. This is how stupid some of our "scientists" are.

The entire division of the DoD devoted to "climate change" should be eliminated in toto. Al Gore will have a conniption I'd like to see in high definition video. Just chop the deadwood off. Unnecessary, a diversion from the military's true mission, which is to kill enemies and break their stuff.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas insisted that there is nothing the federal government can do about the recent New Jersey drones because he has no “authority.” He told concerned Americans that the drones are not threatening to the United States, stating that they are most likely just “convenience store drones” or “planes.” “We can't just shoot a drone out of the sky,” Mayorkas told CNN. “They’re very, well, maybe drones in the sky, of course, but those are commercially available. One can go into a convenience store and buy a small drone.”

A newly minted and massive Iranian drone carrier was captured in new satellite images sailing in the Persian Gulf this week — the ship’s first reported sighting since leaving its home port for the first time in mid-November. The satellite images taken Thursday by commercial operator Maxar Technologies shows three Iranian drone ships in the waters off the country’s coast as theories have swirled in the US that Iran could be behind the mysterious drone sightings across the tri-state area, according to Business Insider. Iran’s new carrier — the Shahid Bagheri — is a converted shipping container that was outfitted to support drone operations and was last seen on Nov. 12,

Climate doomsayers appear to understand their alarmist message did not resonate on the national level during the 2024 election. “Climate change” ranked dead last among the most important issues of the 2024 cycle, according to Pew Research. Climate doomers are searching for a new way to impress their anti-capitalistic ideas on the American economy, the New York Times reported Tuesday. Their newest strategy is to focus on pressuring local organizations, state agencies, and state commissions to change rules and laws, thereby effecting change on the local level where conservationists may be unsuspecting.

Around $3 billion in taxpayer funds would be allocated for the payments, which the governor called a “break” for her constituents. .“Because of inflation, New York has generated unprecedented revenues through the sales tax — now, we’re returning that cash back to middle class families,

Rove’s odd and unprompted insult came in a comment to the New York Times in an article published Thursday about Steven Law stepping down as head of the Sen. Trump's nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, is already drawing severe criticism. Mayorkas said, “There are thousands of drones flown every day in the United States, recreational drones, commercial drones. That is the reality, and in September of 2023, the Federal Aviation Administration, the FAA, changed the rules so that drones could fly at night, and that may be one of the reasons why now people are seeing more drones than they did before, especially from dawn to dusk.
