“There has never been any evidence of vindictive or selective prosecution in this case,” Weiss and other federal prosecutors told a federal judge in Delaware.
In another filing, lodged in federal court in California, they added, “There was none and never has been any evidence of vindictive or selective prosecution in this case.”

The President Trump transition team has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to start the process of transferring control of the federal government. The landing teams from each of the cabinets will now begin to engage with their exiting counterparts.
There were many articles written about the delays in signing the agreements. However, President Trump waited until he has his cabinet fully assembled before signing the first part that permits the landing teams to engage. The second part with government provided offices and technology is NOT being accepted.
President Trump’s Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, announced the Trump transition team has refused to sign an MOU

There are a lot of interesting discussions and interviews amid the political chatter today. It’s often difficult to filter which ones actually matter in the big picture. This is one of those interviews’ worth watching.
Incoming National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, brother-in-law to nominated U.S. Surgeon General Janette Nesheiwat and husband to former DNI policy chief Julia Nesheiwat, appears on Fox News to discuss his priorities for the national security system under President Donald Trump.
Within the interview Waltz makes sure the collective NATO “west” get the unity message about U.S-Ukraine policy: “Jake Sullivan and I have had discussions, we’ve met,” Waltz says

Republican state legislators in North Carolina are moving quickly to pass measures to restrict Democrat power over elections after likely losing its veto-proof majority in the state House.
While Republicans will maintain control of both the House and Senate in North Carolina, if election results remain where they are, the party is one seat shy of its veto-proof majority in the House. Additionally, Gov.-elect Josh Stein looks poised to be able to exercise more authority than his Democrat predecessor, Gov. Roy Cooper.
Both chambers passed a bill that would weaken the governor’s ability to oversee elections

The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles has directed its employees to process the voter registration of those with “unknown citizenship” status, simply requiring that they claim eligibility, The Federalist has learned.
“If you don’t prove that you’re not a U.S. citizen, then you will be asked if you want to self-attest to being a citizen, and they will assist you with registering to vote,” (snip)
Early last month, Democrat Gov. Tina Kotek paused Oregon’s “motor voter” program as the state began a cursory investigation

Sometimes the issues go deeper into the core of DC than just the pretense games of Republicans -vs- Democrats. Every once in a while, you see a specifically nuanced topic arise that tracks to the core of DC. Intelligence nominations are one such topic.
Former House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Adam Schiff, appears on NBC Meet the Press to discuss the nominations made by President Trump. Adam Schiff is the newly elected incoming senator from California and likely also heading to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
The Intelligence Community, the “Six Ways from Sunday” group, run every aspect of Washington DC.

First, it’s worth remembering that in the fine print of the USMCA deal, Mexico and Canada must comply with North American parts origination for anything they want to manufacture for sale into the United States. Meaning, all trade manufacturers must either create their component parts domestically, or purchase them from the U.S, Mexico and Canada. It’s the core point of the USMCA trade agreement.
Secondly, in an aspect exclusive to the U.S. part of the deal that President Trump and USTR Lighthizer insisted upon, if either Canada or Mexico are deemed to be non-compliant with the agreement, the USA can cancel/override

On Nov. 18, Nashville News Channel 5 reporter Phil Williams delivered a breathless “exclusive investigation” into the supposed right-wing radicals targeting rural Jackson County, Tennessee, for a takeover. He claimed, “their views are not so different from the ideas espoused by the neo-Nazis and other white supremacists seen marching down Nashville streets in the past year.”
His camera crew, his drone, and even a news helicopter descended on the tiny town of Gainesboro so Phil could “speak truth to power,”(snip)As a native Tennessean, former Nashville police officer, long-time resident of the area, and friend to several of these so-called radicals, I thought I’d offer my perspective.
