A Florida-based TikTok influencer was arrested after showing off goods she allegedly shoplifted from her local Target in a video posted to her over 300K followers.
Marlena Velez, 22, is facing petty theft charges for allegedly stealing more than $500 from the Target store in Cape Coral on Oct. 30, according to the Fort Myers News-Press.
The retail chain’s loss prevention team told the Cape Coral police that a shoplifter was allegedly caught on security camera at a self-checkout register, where they scanned a fake barcode that listed lower prices for the items in their cart.

For a host of reasons, it became convenient for progressives to suggest that large numbers were fleeing Florida in search of a better life.
When Florida governor Ron DeSantis was a GOP presidential frontrunner, liberal Democrats dug up every scrap of information suggesting he was an ineffective governor, noting that thousands were fleeing his state as a result of his supposedly poor governance. When Trump became the GOP nominee, the attack on Trump’s adopted home state continued. Hundreds if not thousands of articles were generated implying that Trump’s adopted home state was such a disaster that there was a mass exodus. The reality is just the opposite.
Iran International, a Persian-language international media outlet with ties to Iranian regime opponents, is reporting that Iran's Assembly of Experts, the only body empowered to appoint or dismiss a supreme leader, has named Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of current leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as his successor. The outlet also reports that Mojtaba Khamenei may assume the office of supreme leader before his father dies. It's no secret that the 85-year-old Ali Khamenei is in poor health. But the meeting of the Assembly of Experts was called suddenly and with no warning by Khamenei. The 60-member body was instructed to decide on the succession immediately under strict confidentiality.
Over the past day, speculation in the media was tipping former Georgia senator, Kelly Loeffler, as President-elect Trump's pick for the Secretary of the Agriculture (Ag) Department. But early Saturday afternoon, things had meandered another direction entirely, when the Wall Street Journal exclusively reported its sources were pointing to former Trump advisor, Brooke Rollins. Trump, 78, revealed in a Truth Social post that Gorka will serve as deputy assistant to the president and senior director for counterterrorism.
“Since 2015, Dr. Gorka has been a tireless advocate for the America First Agenda and the MAGA Movement,” the president-elect wrote.
“Dr. Gorka is a legal immigrant to the United States, with more than 30 years of National Security experience,” Trump added.

The DoD is made up of 28 entities that operate under the Pentagon and the following are the specifics of their audit results:
Nine entities received an unmodified audit opinion i.e. financial statements are accurate and comply with financial reporting standards,
One entity received a qualified opinion, i.e. the auditor expresses some reservations about a company's financial statements,
Fifteen received disclaimers. i.e. auditors weren't provided sufficient information to form an accurate opinion of the accounts.
Three entities have their opinions still pending.

Each of these so-called news outlets has betrayed their viewers for as long as they have been on the air. They consistently misled their viewers day after day to the point that Trump’s victory was a major shock to their systems. Those blinkered viewers sadly believed what those networks told them -- that Trump could not possibly win, that Harris would win in a landslide. They misled their viewers so egregiously that those who only watched those outlets were understandably shocked by Trump’s win.

After President-elect Donald Trump won the election, the Biden-Harris State Department is under fire for hosting in-house therapy sessions for employees. A Free Beacon report found that outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken spent federal money on at least two sessions, which a source described as a "cry session” for people to deal with Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss. Now that former congressman Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is no longer a threat to Democrats, they are on to the next one in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet.
On Sunday, Democrat Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) warned viewers on CNN that former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is “compromised” and is like a “Russian asset.”
Host Dana Bash asked Duckworth, who served with Gabbard in the House, what she thought of the former Democrat, accusing her of promoting Russian propaganda.
“Well, I think she’s compromised,” Duckworth began. “I think by going to Syria and basically um, backing you know, a brutal dictator there. I mean Russian controlled media called her a Russian asset.
