A therapist who treats illegal immigrants says her phone has been ringing off the hook since President-elect Donald Trump was declared the winner in the November election.
Muriel Casamayor, a licensed therapist who works with immigrants living in the U.S. legally and illegally, claims she hears daily from people who are horrified by Trump’s pledge to embark on the largest deportation program in the country’s history, according to local San Diego outlet KPBS. The president-elect had long pledged to conduct mass deportations, and the GOP made it part of their official platform ahead of its convention in July.

Republicans have secured a majority in the US House of Representatives, extending their hold on the lower chamber and delivering a governing trifecta in Washington that could give Donald Trump sweeping power to enact his legislative agenda.
The Associated Press determined on Wednesday evening that Republicans had won at least 218 seats in the 435-member House after a victory in Arizona, a call that came more than a week after polls closed across the US. The call ensures Republicans will continue to have a large say in key matters such as government funding, debt ceiling negotiations and foreign aid, and it spells an end to Democrats’ hopes that the lower chamber

MSNBC legal analyst Andrew Weissmann said Wednesday on “Deadline” that President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as his attorney general marks the United States’ entry into “pure George Orwell 1984 land.”
Host Nicolle Wallace said, “On Monday, he made the announcement that he would turn to recess appointments. It’s obvious that this trio of Fox News anchors, Matt Gaetz, whose biggest war in Washington is with Kevin McCarthy, and Tulsi Gabbard, was what the recess appointment was all about.”

GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz resigned from the House Wednesday, Speaker Mike Johnson announced, the same day that Donald Trump announced that he had tapped the Florida firebrand to be his attorney general. “He issued his resignation letter effective immediately from Congress. That caught us by surprise a little bit,” Johnson told reporters during a press conference on Wednesday night. Dozens of GOP lawmakers indicated that leadership had told them about Gaetz’s resignation before Johnson made the announcement. It’s time to make your echo chamber great again.
In 2024, that means curating your world to exclude those who voted for the 45th and, now, 47th president, Donald J. Trump.
Especially if those voters are close friends or family members — slap the ban on them. Just say no to sharing a plate of Thanksgiving yams with your Trump-supporting aunt, even if she voted for Obama twice and Hillary in 2016.
It’s the doctor’s orders!
Last Friday, MSNBC’s resident Chicken Little, Joy “Democracy is Falling” Reid, welcomed to her show Yale psychiatrist Dr. Amanda Calhoun — who dished out a prescription for festering bitterness and loneliness.

ABC News executives are reportedly actively searching for a conservative, pro-Trump voice to join the panel on The View after its woke stars all backed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
The talk show - co-hosted by liberals Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines as well as Republican Trump critics Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin - featured the vice president in an episode just one month ahead of the election.
Then, just one day after Trump's victory, the panelists dressed in all black as if they were attending a funeral.

He continued, “Matt Gaetz is dangerously unqualified. That’s not the worst of it. Gaetz has been Trump’s chief defender when it comes to Trump’s assault on democracy.

A Democrat insider admits the real reason Kamala Harris never sat down with Joe Rogan is because it would've upset her progressive staffers.
Donald Trump's appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience was a huge hit and has been credited for his ability to win over young voters.
When Rogan asked Kamala Harris to join him on the podcast, he revealed she 'only wanted to do an hour,' ultimately refusing to appear over scheduling conflicts. Jennifer Palmieri, a liberal strategist and former senior advisor to Harris's husband Doug Emhoff, said it would've upset her far left campaign workers.

President-elect Donald Trump returned to the White House on Wednesday for a surprisingly cordial fireside chat with President Joe Biden that sparked a wild theory.
'Welcome. Welcome back,' Biden said to Trump, referring to him as the 'president-elect' and 'former president,' and promising to work with his bitter political rival for a smooth transition of power.
The two leaders met in the Oval Office, shaking hands and adopting a very different tone than each showed on the campaign trial.
Biden's broad grin had everyone saying the same thing on social media - that he 'voted for Trump.'

It comes just hours after Donald Trump announced Gaetz as his pick to be Attorney General.
The move to resign from Congress comes as a shock after it became clear Gaetz could have issues clearing Senate confirmation to lead the Department of Justice. But a report from Punchbowl News reveals that the House Ethics Committee was set to vote on releasing a report on his conduct on Friday. The Ohio Senate on Wednesday approved a ban on transgender students using bathrooms that fit their gender identities and sent the measure to Republican Gov. Mike DeWine.
The Republican-backed bill applies to public K-12 schools and institutions of higher education. It requires the schools to designate separate bathrooms, locker rooms and overnight accommodations “for the exclusive use” of either males and females, based on one's gender assigned at or near birth, in both school buildings and facilities used for a school-sponsored event. The legislation would not apply to school employees, emergencies or people helping young children or those with disabilities.

After four years of Biden-Harris, US truckers are ecstatic about President Trump’s victory. They’re eager for the economy, and their businesses, to recover and thrive.
Seventy percent of all US freight moves by truck. Thanks to our great highways and efficient truckers, we can enjoy pineapples in winter and get fresh eggs and milk, no matter how far from a farm we live. Under Joe-Kamal, food prices hit record highs. But in normal conditions, food and consumer products stay affordable because stores depend on fast, reliable deliveries, reducing the need to hold excessive inventory. This cuts costs on real estate, rent, insurance, and labor—savings that are passed along to consumers.

The left is melting down over President-elect Donald Trump's choice of Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.
As I reported earlier, Sen. Elizabeth Warren attacked him as "unqualified," perhaps not even understanding he was a decorated veteran with a 20-year military background. But she claimed authority to say that since she "leads" a military personnel panel in the Senate and her brothers served. So you know the Democrats are going to try to fight Hegseth's approval. But Warren got buried by people in response on X.
Warren wasn't the only one losing her mind. Some in the defense world were upset and Scott Jennings took down the critics on CNN.

And it’s not all on lower-level bureaucrats: The orders came from the top.
Yes, FEMA axed Marn’i Washington in the face of damning evidence she told subordinates to skip outreach to homes with pro-Trump signs after Hurricane Milton, which led to at least 20 homes getting skipped in October and early November. But Washington says she was just adhering to agency policy, and her supervisor OK’d her order: It was no “isolated” incident, as Biden’s FEMA folks claim.

A bizarre left wing conspiracy theory has falsely claimed that Elon Musk's Starlink satellites were used to 'steal' the US presidency for Trump.
Claims are circulating across social media that 20million votes in the election have 'disappeared' and that Musk's satellites were used to interfere with vote-counting machines.
The allegations are unsubstantiated with no evidence being produced to support the claims with many voting machines in the US typically not being able to connect to the internet to prevent election interference.
Meanwhile, allegations that millions of votes are missing is likely due to slow voting in large states such as California

After what the Democrats have done to this country for the past four years, I really can't help but enjoy seeing them freak out over Trump's victory, his administration picks, and the realization that this country is about to undergo a massive course correction.
Van Jones gave us a glimpse into the miserable state of the Democratic Party during a recent appearance on CNN. His meltdown was a mix of exasperation, self-pity, and, at times, dark humor, but his frustration was undeniable.
And I loved every second of it.
“I’m miserable,” Jones declared bluntly. “What do you want me to say? This is terrible.”

Real-estate-mogul-turned-President-reelect Donald Trump is no stranger to picking up a fixer-upper and fixing it up, but nobody — and I mean nobody — has ever faced the renovation job Trump does when he returns to the White House.
Let's look at the worst three.
Since 2009 the Department Formerly Known as Justice has been infested with growing numbers of rats. Political consultant (and Trump 45 hand) Mark Paoletta warned on X today that "Career DOJ lawyers must be fully committed to implementing President Trump’s policies or they should leave or be fired."
"Why do I keep raising this?" he continued.

[Now we must focus on the very important chairmanships of the senate committees that John Thune will decide.]
In the first ballot the results were: Thune 23, Cornyn 15, Scott 13.
Scott was removed and the Senators went to the second ballot between Thune and Cornyn.
As expected, the Scott coalition split 50/50. Thune picked up 6 votes from Scott’s group. Cornyn picked up 7 votes from Scott’s group.
Final Vote: John Thune 29, John Cornyn 24.snip)If we want to change the dynamic, we must repeal the 17th amendment and return to the original constitutional construct: Senators appointed to represent the interests of each state, by State Legislature.

The future president of the United States has announced a “new era” for the nation. I propose 10 goals that will make the next Trump administration as solid as the beginning of Metallica’s Load.
Return to Freedom
During the Biden administration, many things were lost: unity, prosperity, and the ability to navigate the world stage, among others. However, the main victim was freedom. Freedom is at the core of the American identity. Trump has the opportunity to revive the core tenet of America’s character and, as Reagan said, be “the keepers of the flame of liberty.” It is an opportunity to encourage people to pursue their dreams

Since the dawn of time, man has gazed to the heavens and wondered, “What would be, like, the most epic troll of all time? Cuz that’d be wicked cool!”
History is rife with trolling examples, both good and bad. In the bad category is a triumphant Hitler posing in front of the Eiffel Tower, shortly after France folded like an accordion. Those black and white photos were powerful pieces of wartime propaganda.
Politically, the most famous one is probably a wide-smiling Harry Truman holding the newspaper that erroneously proclaimed, “Dewey Defeats Truman.” That headline ran in the Chicago Daily Tribune, which must’ve been a mixed blessing for the publisher:

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) has been elected Senate majority leader, setting the stage for him to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who has held the top Senate GOP leadership job for the past 18 years.
Thune has served as Senate Republican whip, the No. 2-ranking position in the Senate GOP leadership, since 2019, and largely managed operation of the Senate floor since McConnell suffered a concussion from a fall in 2023.
Thune beat Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) by a vote of 25 to 24, according to two sources familiar.

On Wednesday, Republican senators selected Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) as their new leader for the 119th Congress. Republicans have not picked a new leader in 18 years, but Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) revealed earlier this year that he was stepping aside from the role after noticeably experiencing health issues. The process kicked off at 9:30am, but the first round of voting didn't take place until around 11:30am. Thune beat out Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), who also challenged McConnell in 2022, and Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), who previously held Thune's role.

Diesel motorhome sales are set to be halted in several states at the start of next year due to a new climate rule from California being enacted, according to RVtravel.
Motorhome sales are being prevented in California, Washington, Oregon, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey if the vehicles do not meet certain emission requirements based on regulations from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), according to RVtravel. CARB amended its Advanced Clean Truck regulations on Oct. 24, which require all vehicles over 8,500 pounds to produce zero emissions.

Britain’s top left-wing newspaper, The Guardian, has announced it will no longer post on Elon Musk’s X social media platform over “far-right conspiracy theories and racism” and Musk’s decision to campaign for Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential election.
The international pushback against Elon Musk following Donald Trump’s victory last week went into full swing on Wednesday, with The Guardian quitting the X platform, claiming that its “resources could be better used promoting our journalism elsewhere.” In a blog post pinned to its X profile, which boasts nearly 11 million followers, the left-wing establishment paper wrote: “We think that the benefits of being on X are now outweighed by the negatives.”

A Dutch court on Tuesday dismissed a landmark climate ruling against Shell, after the oil giant was ordered to drastically reduce its global carbon emissions back in 2021.
The outcome, which comes during the opening days of the COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan, marks the latest twist in a precedent-setting case that could have far-reaching implications for the future of climate litigation. The appeals court in The Hague said that while Shell is required to reduce its carbon emissions, it could not determine the extent of these cuts. The case against Shell, therefore, was dismissed entirely.

I often report on fake "crises" pushed by media.
Here's one that may be real:
Kids are anxious.
In my new video, Lenore Skenazy, founder of the non-profit Let Grow, says it's because today's parents rarely allow their kids to experience the joys of independence.
Skenazy once let her 9-year-old ride the New York City subway on his own. For that, the media labeled her "America's worst mom." (Snip)
But in real life, what Skenazy allowed isn't so risky. Her son told me, "I know how to get around." Nothing bad happened to him, and he gained the confidence that comes with taking care of yourself.

This election offers plenty of lessons for those listening to the voices of the voters – but will the politicians listen?
First, conservatives and moderates took their country back. Only about 25% of the voters classify themselves as liberal compared to 75% who are moderate and conservative. Out went progressive DAs, marijuana referendums, and ranked voting efforts (except in D.C.). Moderates and conservatives are done with being ruled by the 25 percent.
Middle class economics mattered
Trump won a majority of the working- and middle-class voters, while Harris won only those making under $30,000 and those earning over $100,000 a year.

Smith, who oversaw the federal criminal cases against Trump related to the 78-year-old’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election and the hoarding of classified documents, is wrapping up his work ahead of the 47th president’s inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025, the New York Times reported.

Look back into European history for a troubling spectre of a political doctrine that has hijacked our national governing.
The doctrine of “monarchical absolutism” asserted that kings derived their authority from God and could not be held accountable for their actions. Thus, those governing were “above” the governed; they were the “Elite” to which the everyday laws did not apply; their existence was in a sphere totally different than any others. The governing enjoyed privilege, wealth, conveniences, and latitudes that were forbidden to the “ruled common man.”

If you ever doubted life was absurd, you only need to look at the types of decisions bureaucracies make.
We live in a world where food wrappers have warnings on them telling you not to eat, ladders are plastered with warnings so numerous that you can barely see the aluminum underneath, and packages of nuts have warnings that tell you that this bag of almonds contains nuts.
In the spirit of this stupidity, I present to you this gem of a news story: Costco is being forced to recall packages of butter that do not warn purchasers that the butter contains milk. They even have given instructions

Until the Daily Wire uncovered concrete evidence that the Federal Emergency Management Administration was telling relief workers to avoid Trump-supporting homes, the press was happy to take FEMA’s word and debunk accusations of political favoritism.
Now that the FEMA employee at the center of the current scandal is saying that she’s a scapegoat and that the problem is far deeper and wider, will the mainstream press ignore this too?
In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, FEMA came under attack for its seemingly sluggish response to devastation in heavily Republican areas of the Southeast.
Poppycock, responded the press, regurgitating talking points from the agency.

The Left is hysterical over the prospect of a Trump administration in charge of the nation's health policy.
But life expectancy in the U.S. peaked in 2014 and has been shrinking nearly every year since then, an indicator that Americans' health is declining. This despite the trillions spent covering the uninsured. Expanding insurance is not the panacea it was promised to be. A shakeup is needed.
Here's what should be on the Trump agenda:
1. Focus on Healthy Eating to Combat Chronic Diseases
President-elect Donald Trump's controversial health advisor, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is targeting unhealthy eating, particularly processed foods.

Since the Daniel Penny trial kicked off, witness after witness has described the abject terror they felt while riding the uptown F train as unhinged homeless man Jordan Neely entered the car, snarling and threatening straphangers.
One teen testified that she was so frightened she thought she’d pass out.
An older woman was “scared s–tless.” A 29-year-old man said he was “pretty terrified.”
All testified that they’d never before experienced that type of acute panic while riding the train.
But on Tuesday, one was visibly petrified to be in that courtroom, with protesters outside and multiple Neely supporters inside.

Multiple outlets say, based largely on claims from CNN via anonymous sources, that President-elect Donald Trump intends to nominate South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as his Homeland Security secretary. While Noem is certainly skilled at promoting herself, she doesn’t have the courage required for this role.[snip] Noem has an undeserved reputation for courage because she was the only governor not to shut down her state in the name of Covid. But that reputation is completely undeserved. The truth is, she attempted to get the power to shut down South Dakota, but the state legislature refused to give it to her.

Trump’s nominations are coming thick and fast, and among the more interesting is his selection of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead a new Department of Government Efficiency:
Despite the name, Trump clarified in a statement that the Musk-Ramaswamy effort would “provide advice and guidance from outside of Government” in tandem with the White House and its Office of Management & Budget “to drive large scale structural reform, and create an entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before.”
So I take it there won’t be an actual department, it will just be Elon and Vivek and maybe some aides.

One of the biggest winners of the 2024 election was Scott Jennings. The folksy columnist and former George W. Bush staffer was a dominant force in his role as CNN's token Republican, regularly holding his own in one-on-five debates with Democrats and journalists who support Democrats.
As a normal American, Jennings often seemed out of place on CNN, mostly because he wasn't afraid to criticize Democrats but also because of his insightful commentary and because he never lost his cool—or his sense of humor—when his remarks were inevitably met with incredulous screeching. When Jennings wasn't calling out his onscreen
