Sunday night, someone plastered a bunch of wanted posters around the University of Rochester. The posters featured various members of the faculty, many of whom were Jewish, along with text saying they were "wanted" for their response to Israel's invasion of Gaza in response to the 10/7 attack on Israel by Hamas.
Hundreds of posters depicting Jewish faculty members as “wanted” were plastered across the University of Rochester campus in upstate New York on Sunday night, an antisemitic act the school’s president told CNN “would not be tolerated.”
The posters criticize faculty members for their alleged response to the war in Gaza.

Smuggling organizations in Mexico are rushing migrants to the US-Mexico border before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
With the promise of shutting down the border on day 1 of his administration, Trump is largely seen as disrupting the record-breaking flow of human traffic that has taken place under President Joe Biden, where a minimum of 11 million migrants have crossed into the country.
In the most recent example of this, nearly 300 people, including more than 50 children, were caught crammed into the back of a semi-truck in Mexico headed for El Paso, Texas.

Joe Biden met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss Middle East issues, the Gaza war especially, and he didn’t fall asleep, mention a dead head of state, or fall. It certainly was a better photo opportunity than the last where Biden looked as if he had fallen asleep (via CBS News): President Biden met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog at the White House Tuesday, as the two leaders address the conflict with Lebanon, the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the hostages still being held by Hamas.
The meeting, which Herzog called "very productive," lasted about an hour.

A multiple-missile attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels on two US warships has been thwarted, the Pentagon has said.
At least eight drones, five anti-ship ballistic missiles and three anti-ship cruise missiles were aimed at the USS Stockdale and the USS Spruance on Monday.
The vessels shot down the projectiles and were "not damaged and no personnel were hurt," Pentagon press secretary Air Force Major Gen Pat Ryder told reporters on Tuesday.
The attack followed a series of airstrikes made by the US Central Command against Houthi weapons storage bases in Yemen.

Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign donated $500,000 to Al Sharpton’s nonprofit organization just weeks before the anti-Semitic MSNBC host—who once said that "diamond merchant" Jews have the "blood of innocent babies" on their hands—conducted a friendly interview with Harris.
The campaign’s remittance to Sharpton’s National Action Network was part of a flurry of donations—$5.4 million in all—to black and Latino advocacy groups that seem aimed at winning Harris support from those constituencies. Harris’s campaign gave two payments of $250,000 to National Action Network on Sept. 5 and Oct. 1, according to campaign finance records.

President-elect Donald Trump has been making his announcements as to who will serve in his second administration. On Tuesday evening, the Trump-Vance transition team sent out a statement about who will serve as Trump's White House Counsel, and it turns out to be a familiar name. William Joseph McGinley will now take on such a role, after he served as White House Cabinet Secretary for Trump's first term. Moments later, as Katie covered, the transition team also announced that John Ratcliffe will serve as the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), after previously serving as Trump's Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

Some of the House of Representatives’ most conservative members do not plan on letting House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) have a coronation for another term.
The Hill reported Tuesday that some of Johnson’s top critics want to nominate a more right-wing challenger for Wednesday’s internal GOP elections. At this point, they have not united around a candidate.
Nonetheless, they promise to have one ready to go tomorrow.
“There will be a nomination,” a source told the Hill. While Republicans will retain control of the House, the margin is projected to be very narrow.

9Last Tuesday, America sent a resounding message to Washington when they elected Donald Trump and gave Republicans majorities in the Senate and likely the House. D.C. Republicans now have one job: Don’t screw it up. For Senate Republicans, this means closing the book on the Mitch McConnell era of governance marked by heavily centralized management and open hostility to the Trump agenda and the Republican base. On Nov. 13, they will elect a new leader for the first time in nearly 18 years and have a chance to usher in a new leadership that is accountable to the conference and the priorities of the evolving base of the Republican Party.

The political left in America continues to double down on its intolerance of differing opinions. In parallel, the mainstream media is carving a self-destructive path showing no accountability for the outcome of the election. In Illinois, the intolerance was on full display last week as a business owner hung Trump signage outside their business and was subsequently attacked for it online.
Throughout the last four years, and leading up to the election, the political left has adopted a woke agenda. They have vilified their political opponents and labeled them as racists, bigots, and nazis.
Championing the moniker of “progressivism,” the political left has been anything but progressive.

The liberal Washington Post is out with a story today about how to leave the USA and live in another country. It’s one of their top stories for today. As the GP recently pointed out, we have been down this road before, but the people who claim they want to leave rarely follow through and actually do it in the end.
Threatening to leave the country because Trump won the presidency seems to be some sort of rite of passage on the left.
here are lots of people on the left who don’t appreciate how good they have it by living in the United States of America. Maybe living abroad would help.

It’s hard to know just how much of the country hates Donald Trump. The easy answer is about half. But that’s probably wrong. Much less than half of the country voted against him last week and it would be a mistake to think that every one of those Americans hates the man. Surely a significant portion of Harris-Walz voters made their decisions simply because they either like Democratic policies or oppose the Republican agenda. If so, it would seem that Trump has an opportunity to unify a bitterly divided nation.
Still, there’s an angry, petty and vocal faction on the left that has no interest in unity because

The Biden-Harris State Department organized an in-house therapy session for employees early Friday following Donald Trump’s election victory, four sources with knowledge of the meeting told the Washington Free Beacon. "Managing stress during change," read an internal State Department email sent across the agency that encouraged employees to attend a one-hour session in which they could discuss their feelings about Tuesday’s election results. The department’s Employee Consultation Services in the Bureau of Medical Services hosted the session, according to a copy of the email notice described by sources to the Free Beacon. "Change is a constant in our lives, but it can often bring about stress and uncertainty,"

Michael Strahan will not face any punishments or fines from Fox Sports after the former Giants great and current analyst took significant heat for not placing his hand over his heart during the national anthem.
During a special “Fox NFL Sunday” broadcast in honor of Veterans Day from Naval Base San Diego, Strahan was seen with his fingers interlocked near his waist while his panel colleagues all had their hands over their hearts.
While Strahan was only seen briefly on the broadcast as this occurred, it was enough to draw criticism on social media from some who viewed the gesture as unpatriotic.

Hakeem Jeffries could be the next presidential candidate to run for the Democrats when it comes to the 2028 presidential election.
Although still four years away, anger and soul-searching has taken hold of the Democratic Party after Kamala Harris' election loss that left some party officials blindsided.
Some party members believe plans should already start to be made as to how the Democrats will come back from such a devastating defeat and who might be the leader to take them there, given many now-familiar names may be leaving the political stage.

President Donald Trump has reportedly chosen South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem as the next Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), according to sources familiar with the decision reported by CNN.
While Trump has not officially announced his choice, the reported move is widely viewed as part of his commitment to strict immigration enforcement.
Noem’s appointment comes as Trump names immigration hardliners Stephen Miller and former ICE director Tom Homan to senior advisory roles.

About 100 miles west of Washington DC, at the nexus of quiet country roads, sits a network of bustling small businesses and community connections that helped deliver the swing state of Pennsylvania for President-elect Donald Trump.
For nearly a decade, with the smells of fresh manure and homemade shoofly pie in their nostrils, GOP operatives have worked diligently to register an under-courted voting bloc — the Amish.
Despite their efforts, attendance at the polls was long lagging, for a reason that escaped outsiders but was obvious to locals: Election Day falls on a Tuesday — but for many Amish, so does wedding day.

Fortunately for Israel, former US President Donald J. Trump was just re-elected to serve a second term. Within hours, Hamas indicated that now might be a good time to talk about peace. Qatar, perhaps concerned that its days of double-dealing might be coming to an end, announced it would be "stalling" its role as a mediator between the US and Hamas. The landslide victory of Trump in the US election this week appears finally to be restoring deterrence. Israel's society is politically and ideologically split. On one side are Israelis who understandably want their relatives back, and have been hoping for a ceasefire.

Residents of a small Florida city were shocked to find out their homes were skipped by federal relief workers because of a directive from a FEMA supervisor telling them to bypass the homes of people with Trump flags or signs.
Reactions poured in from Lake Placid residents after they learned that a now-fired FEMA supervisor had instructed relief workers to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed the community in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. Whistleblowers told The Daily Wire, which first reported on the guidance, that at least 20 homes were skipped from late October and into early November because of the directive.

Is Ann Selzer going to retire? I’m tossing that out there because she was a credible pollster until she dropped what arguably is a suppression poll showing that Kamala Harris was leading Donald Trump 47-44 in Iowa days before voters headed in to cast their ballots. The state was Trump +18 in June. It went Kamala +3 during the summer, and no one noticed. The woman, long viewed as the gold standard in this field, wrecked her credibility in one swoop. Her poll is now the subject of an internal investigation at Gannett, the publisher of The Des Moines Register, as someone at the paper leaked

It is, indeed, morning in America again, but Americans “have to stay vigilant,” Michael Reagan, president of the Reagan Legacy Foundation, said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily, explaining that President-elect Donald Trump is not stepping on his father’s legacy. Rather, America — 40 years later — needs a “strong” leader to right the ship, and Trump is that person.
“A couple people called in on this and made this point that it’s morning again in America. Have you thought — I’m sure you have — much about that messaging from your dad, the morning again? And what does that mean, and are we there again?” host Mike Slater asked

Air pollution breathed in by women during pregnancy may be linked to a greater risk of developing autism, according to new research.
A review of the latest literature found babies with a genetic predisposition to autism exposed to four common air pollutants were more likely to develop the condition.
It's thought that when breathed in during early childhood or in the womb these pollutants can get into the bloodstream. There, they can bypass the protective layers of the brain, causing inflammation, changing the way nerves function and develop.

Oprah Winfrey on Monday shut down a report that Kamala Harris’ failed presidential campaign paid her $1 million to stump for the Democrat.
“I was paid nothing — ever,” Winfrey told a TMZ reporter who approached her as she walked to her car.
The reporter asked about the claims that the Harris team paid her the massive figure for the star-studded, virtual town hall called “Unite for America” that the talk show star hosted on behalf of the Democratic nominee in September. (Photo) “Not true,” Winfrey, who endorsed Harris, said.

University of Southern California (USC) President Carol Folt announced that she would resign, effective July 1, 2025, making her the latest academic leader to depart following more than a year of antisemitic protests on campus. The Daily Trojan noted that Folt did not provide a specific reason for her resignation. However, the Jewish News Syndicate noted that Folt had been criticized for the way USC handled — or mishandled — the protests: “In June, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights opened an investigation into USC for potential violations of Title VI

One of President-elect Donald Trump’s first orders of business must be to de-weaponize the federal government. One episode from Florida illustrates why.
Not long ago you might have charged me with paranoid conspiracy theorizing if I had told you that federal disaster relief workers were deliberately keeping Trump supporters from receiving government assistance.
But they were, and a FEMA supervisor has been fired for it. Marn’i Washington allegedly told FEMA workers in Florida to skip houses with Trump signs out front after Hurricane Helene.

CNN anchor Chris Wallace announced on Monday that he would leave the network at the end of his contract, citing the growing influence of podcasters such as Joe Rogan and Charlamagne tha God.
Wallace – who joined CNN in January 2022 after nearly 20 years at Fox News – told the Daily Beast he would leave the network at the end of his three-year contract in favor of independent broadcasting.
Describing podcasts and streaming platforms as “where the action seems to be,” Wallace pointed to Rogan and Charlamagne’s influence during the 2024 election, before adding, “I don’t flatter myself to think I will have that sort of reach.”

When Trump won in 2016, everybody was stunned. Trump's support was, for the most part, underground and disorganized, and Trump himself seemed surprised.
So when Trump came storming into DC, he didn't have a lot of troops behind him to take the fight to the DC hoards of legislators, lobbyists, bureaucrats, journalists, and lawyers. A #resistance sprung up, and Congress worked hard to slowwalk his appointments. Swamp creatures recommended other swamp creatures to staff the government.
It's remarkable that Trump could accomplish so much, given that everything was arrayed against him.
The establishment is still arrayed against Trump, but this time around, the president has something

Yesterday a person on X accused JK Rowling of being not only "far right" but borderline "neo-Nazi" because of her views on trans issues. Of course this sort of thing is nothing new, people on the far left have been saying stuff like this for years at this point. But Rowling noticed this particular claim and took the opportunity to lay out her own political views as she sees them.
You can keep telling yourself this, but you're simply wrong. I'm a left-leaning liberal who's fiercely anti-authoritarian, and if you couldn't deduce that from my work you haven't understood a word of it.
