Election was a tale of two Americas

Original Article

My friend and I have shared secrets, careers, cocktails. She woke up Wednesday and wasn’t saddened by the news of the election results. America just showed its real face, she said. She is Black. Her lens is different from mine, [Snip] As a Christian, I’ve recoiled these past several years as I’ve watched a political ideology--then one man--become as much of a gospel as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I’ve studied Jesus under people who helped me build the framework of my faith and study scripture that are celebrating that the next president will be a man who couldn't pass a background check to work in their church.

Comments:

This opinion piece is so preposterous, so surreal, could not resist not sharing it with realists. She concludes there “seem to be two Americas: one jubilant and one fearful. We carry the same blood, but not the same burdens.” She either does not know or chooses to disregard that while humanity does share one blood, it is not for her or her ilk to judge others—there is only One to judge (Matthew 7:1-3).

There is only one America. Republicans have sat passively and allowed Democrats to take over the election rules, so they have stolen a lot of elections that Americans never voted for.

I love how these people self baptize in print with "As a Christian..." almost like a magic talisman against criticism. Lady, even the demons believe in the Lord "and tremble" but it doesn't make them anymore Christian than my cat. But what do you expect of an openly hostile Democrat "journalist." But I am sure she considers herself the very soul of dispassion when it comes to politics. They all do.

There are millions of gullible victims in our society and others waiting their turn. To some degree it has always been this way, but today you can thank your TV and your closest school. The rot is festering there and these fools wallow in it. I hope one of the many changes coming will cleanse some of that.

Following President Donald Trump’s decisive victory in both the electoral and popular vote, it’s becoming clear, based on multiple reports, that the weaponized Department of Justice (DOJ) is poised to dismantle its baseless and frivolous criminal prosecutions against Trump in Florida and Washington, D.C., and may even dismiss Jack Smith before Trump has the satisfaction to utter his most famous line, “you’re fired.” [Snip] This move marks yet another self-serving, calculated maneuver, a legal sleight-of-hand designed to protect the reputations of Attorney General Merrick Garland, Smith, and former Special Counsel Robert Mueller and to distract from Smith and Mueller’s unconstitutional appointments.

If you remain unsure about the pre-eminent issue of life, as one shepherd, I implore you to finally face the truth that life is sacred from conception to natural death. Abortion is the violent murder of unborn children. No exceptions. As Catholics in this nation, we must stand for life, even if bishops aren’t strong or even contradict this truth. Our nation depends on it. The silence of the shepherds will not be pardoned, nor will the complicity of the sheep.
