The nation's educational landscape faces a potential transformation as Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House with ambitious plans for systemic changes. According to ABC News, Trump's Agenda47 campaign outlines comprehensive reforms, including the elimination of the Department of Education, implementation of nationwide school choice, and significant changes to curriculum content. The proposed changes would affect multiple aspects of America's educational system, from kindergarten through higher education. Trump's vision encompasses major shifts in federal oversight, teacher certification, and curriculum standards. The plan represents a fundamental reimagining of how education is delivered and managed across the United States.

Here is a challenge for the readers. Name any educational function that requires a massive federal organization to manage it. Or one that could not be managed more efficiently and at less cost by state and local governments.

When I was a kid Mom used to say the southern schools were at least a year behind the northern ones. Now all of them are behind Chad and Niger. Better to go back to the 60's.

Getting rid of the department of education is just the beginning. Let the local governments allocate their funds for education instead of sending it to D.C. and creating more government jobs that have done nothing to REALLY educate children in subjects that matter.

The Federal government really needs to get out of the college loan business. Obama had the feds take it over from the private sector and we saw what happened (booming admission to students who would have not normally gone to college, massive increase in endowments and cash, etc etc). Colleges with endowments over say 100 million can loan their own money out to students they admit, since they are so sure of the ability of those students. Then those colleges can decide whether or not to cancel THEIR OWN students' loans. They can also be open to lawsuits if they are unable to give the students the education those students signed up for.

Dump the Department of Education, it has a track record of failure.
Let the states handle their education needs.
If the schools in the blue states want to continue their indoctrination, so be it. That is their problem.

1) Break the "Education-Publishing Complex" - simply adopt textbooks from 1958 in Math, Science, English, history, etc. and make them all FREE to the public on DVD/USB/over the Internet.
Wanna make college more affordable?
2) Require all Universities taking Federal monies to make ALL basic subjects' textbooks, similarly, based on public domain information and available FREE to students enrolled in those courses.

Good and get them out of student loans, too. BTW - we won World War II and sent a man, well, several, to the Moon - all without the Dept of Education.

There is a Liberal River running through most university Schools of Education since about the time or Brown vs Board of Education. We didn't realize what a blessing those Baby Boom era school buildings could be until we lost them. The casualties were too numerous to mention.

Suggestions for Trump:
1. Delete ALL Teachers Unions, Put Union Thugs in Prison, I'm sure there is evidence of CRIMES!
2. ANY teacher, administrator or ANYONE on any School Board that attempts to Indoctrinate children in any way GOES TO PRISON for 50 YEARS!
3. Vouchers for all children, and the MONEY FOLLOWS THEM.
4. Any lawyer that files any lawsuits against any of this should be permanently Disbarred!
Any more Ideas?
