In addition to Arizona, he picked up electoral votes in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Eight years ago, there wasn't a soul brave enough to wear a MAGA hat through the streets of Manhattan, where liberals openly sobbed after Trump's shock election win.
But it's a new day in America.
Trump is back, bold and more popular than ever. And in the lefty safe haven of Manhattan, support for him is higher than ever.
With the wind of his election win propping our sails, the Daily Mail team ventured out in Greenwich Village to test his newfound popularity.
I was the guinea pig of choice - anointed with a bright red MAGA hat, I bravely took on the task.
The result was surprising to say the least.

President-elect Donald Trump made history this week after pulling off one the biggest political comebacks, as well a big congratulations to Republicans gaining the Senate and presumably the House. As to no surprise, Democrats are furious. Not only did Trump win the election, but he gained momentum in every single group and demographic while Vice President Kamala Harris didn’t even come close.
Now, left-wing media pundits are trying to figure out how to drown out Trump— much like they have for the past eight years since he first stepped into the political spotlight.

The Hollywood star, 63, threw his support behind Harris after penning a blistering op-ed on why Joe Biden would cost the Democrats the win if he didn’t abandon his campaign, but it still wasn’t enough to prevent an historic victory for Donald Trump.
Clooney has since been criticized by Democrats for his influence during the election, with some claiming Harris' loss was his fault.

After backlash for questioning the results of the 2024 election, one talking head’s excuse hardly helped his case.
As many Democratic Party voters remained incredulous that referring to large swaths of the American populous as “Nazis” and “garbage” hadn’t been a winning message for Vice President Kamala Harris, many who’d knocked concerns over election integrity in the past were singing a different tune since former President Donald Trump had been named the victor.

So here's the thing. I decided to stop writing about every Democrat meltdown I saw following President-elect Donald Trump's crushing win over Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday. But telling Democrats to shun their Trump-supporting family members during the holidays is truly appalling. So I made an exception.
MSNBC's race-obsessed host Joy Reid on Friday night's episode of "The ReidOut" did exactly the above, and as unconscionable as her admonition was, Reid's delusional reasoning couldn't have been more hypocritical and full of blind hatred.
Unsurprisingly, Reid's guest, Yale psychiatrist and "mental health expert" Dr. Amanda Calhoun, couldn't have agreed more fervently.

The Justice Department is reportedly narrowing its focus on prosecuting the most “egregious” offenders involved in the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol building.
Of particular concern are those who committed felony assaults on law enforcement officers, according to an NBC News report. This development comes after President-elect Donald Trump won the presidential election and prepares to take office in early 2025.
The primary reason for the Justice Department’s tighter focus is likely the possibility that Trump will pardon or commute the sentences of many of those who were arrested and are facing prosecution over Jan. 6. His victory has sparked optimism among the defendants and those supporting them.

The 2024 election is over, the last few races are being decided, and for the most part, only the recriminations remain. The Harris/Walz campaign tried everything from "brat" and "joy" to calling Donald Trump a fascist and a Nazi, and they failed. They didn't just fail, they failed catastrophically, losing not only the presidential election by a wide margin in the electoral vote and the total vote count, but they also lost more Senate seats to the Republicans and, it looks like, control of the House of Representatives as well. On the campaign trail Trump repeatedly promised to slash taxes on tips and social security benefits, and suggested the total elimination of income taxes with the hope or replacing the revenue with tariffs.
With the signature tax cuts of Trump’s first term set to expire in 2025, and the high likelihood Republicans will have full control of Congress, extending and even expanding tax changes are high on his agenda.
Chief among the wish-list items of an expanded tax cut program would be lowering corporate tax rates.

Maher began by saying that the “most important thing to say” about the election is that the reason why things are peaceful is because Democrats believe in conceding elections and they’re the party that lost, while Republicans wouldn’t have accepted defeat.
He added, “I also just want to say, to my friends on the right…

Nov. 5 wasn’t just a great night for America — it was a great night for law and order.
LA voters, sick of the massive damage that woke DA George Gascón (once a Soros darling now abandoned by his benefactor) has done their city, handed him a crushing defeat.
Gascón eliminated cash bail and effectively legalized many low-level crimes, bringing a countywide 8% crime spike from 2019 to 2023, and an exodus of experienced prosecutors.

In a just world, Donald Trump would have won the Nobel Peace Prize for securing the historic Abraham Accords peace agreements of 2020. So too, in a just world, would A-list Hollywood studios now be bidding for the rights to produce the film adaptation of the single greatest comeback story in American history: Donald Trump, the once and future president.
Trump's electoral landslide this week is one for the history books. His myriad foes illegitimately spied on his 2016 campaign. They fabricated a "Russia collusion" narrative out of whole cloth, then spent years "investigating" it. They impeached him twice. They prosecuted him across four separate jurisdictions, 91 criminal counts in total.

Liberals in deep-blue New York City shocked and disturbed by President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory are flooding shrinks’ inboxes looking for appointments.
“It’s a perfect storm for New York therapists,” said Manhattan psychologist Chloe Carmichael, who estimated she’s received a 15% spike in inquiries from patients. “It’s a repeat of 2016, where a lot of people feel really scared and traumatized and angry.”

Emhoff, 25, was photographed sobbing on the sidelines while Vice President Harris delivered her concession speech at Howard University on Wednesday.
Less than 24 hours later, the lefty activist daughter of second gentleman Doug Emhoff posted one of the unflattering images of her crying during the speech to her Instagram story, along with the caption, “Truly no words. Amid the stunning revelation that Kamala Harris’ unsuccessful presidential campaign ended up $20 million in the red, despite raising $1 billion from donors, a new report has found that the rock concerts that her campaign staged on the night before the election — featuring Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and others — collectively cost around that same amount, up to $20 million. Now vendors and others who worked on those concerts, which were meant to persuade “low-propensity voters” to turn out for Harris, are reportedly facing the prospect of unpaid invoices.

During this election, many of us on both sides were obsessed with polls, betting markets, rally sizes, and any sort of tea leaves we could read to gauge where this election stood. In my extensive coverage of the polls this year, one thing that stood out was how the left refused to accept the results of polling that didn't tell them what they wanted to hear. This happens on both sides, but from what I could see, if people on the right thought a poll was suspicious, they would look at the crosstabs and tell you why it was wrong.

On Day One, President Trump must take immediate action to protect migrant children by completely overhauling the Office of Refugee Resettlement within the Department of Health and Human Services. The current catastrophe has resulted in thousands upon thousands of children vanishing into the unknown, many into the hands of traffickers. The true number remains unknown as the government has lost track of so many of these vulnerable souls. Those in the current administration who have deliberately weakened or eliminated crucial sponsor vetting procedures must be removed. The safety of vulnerable children cannot be sacrificed for administrative expediency.

Out of a sense of morbid curiosity, we decided to venture over to the Bulwark, the opinion site founded by alleged conservative Bill Kristol with the single mission of providing readers a daily dose of anti-Trump vitriol.
We wondered if perhaps the folks at Bulwark were celebrating because Donald Trump’s victory means that their reason for existing just got extended another four years. Had Trump lost, their pretense of being a conservative “bulwark” would have shattered.
They aren’t celebrating.
Instead, Trump’s overwhelming victory against overwhelming odds has them struggling to think straight.

The 2024 landmark election has concluded with a resounding victory for the Grand Old Party. With the newly acquired Republican majority in Congress and Donald Trump as President-elect, the United States is facing a pivotal moment that promises to bring long-awaited changes.
Interference Anxiety
In the months and days leading up to the election, the outcome was far from certain. Polls showed a dead heat between Trump and Harris, with only a marginal difference, and even prominent pundits were unable to predict a winner. Having experienced election interference controversies in 2016 and 2020,

Things are moving quickly after President-elect Donald Trump's win on Tuesday in the general election. One of the issues that voters said was one of the major reasons they pulled the lever in the ballot box for him, and not Vice President Kamala Harris, is immigration. In a piece Thursday, my colleague Ward Clark outlined the agenda items that Trump has promised to tackle on day one of the new administration. Among those, of course, is not only beginning deporting the illegals already in the country but securing the porous southern border with Mexico.

One of the best things about Kamala Harris losing is that now, Tim Walz can slink back to Minnesota and we won't have to deal with him on the national stage into the future. He's truly a hard individual to take, from gesticulations to falsehoods. At Kamala's concession speech on Wednesday, Walz appeared close to crying. In the final analysis, in a campaign full of failure and bad choices, picking Tim Walz may have been one of her worst choices. She didn't choose a guy who was allegedly more moderate like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who might have helped her win PA. She did choose Walz,

Bill Maher slammed the Democratic party as “losers” and urged them to “look in the mirror” following Kamala Harris’ presidential election loss to President-elect Donald Trump.
Maher, who once predicted that Harris would win the election, revealed that he “did not vote for the winner,” but accepted the election results — unlike his late-night counterparts earlier in the week.
“We had an election,” Maher said during his “Real Time” monologue on HBO Friday night. “I did not vote for the winner, we’ll see what the winners do now. They won, now they have reality they have to deal with. We’ll see what they do.” (Photo)

At times like this, it’s tempting to gloat, but conservatives must be gracious winners. We must be courteous to our defeated opponents even though they would not have shown us the same respect had Kamala Harris won. We must resist the temptation to revel in their misery.
With cordiality and sophistication in mind, I’ll use the most dignified analogy I can think of in describing what Democrats are going through at this very moment. When I was in fifth grade, some kid pooped himself while doing pull-ups in gym class. He was mortified. I’ll never forget the look on his face. For more than 30 years after that moment,

Vice President Kamala Harris faced quite the loss as a result of Tuesday's election, with Democrats also losing the Senate and likely the House. Naturally, the blame game has started, and with Harris being installed as the nominee just three and a half months before Election Day — after President Joe Biden was forced out by his fellow Democrats — that's no doubt come into the conversation. The Biden and Harris teams have taken to blaming each other, as a Friday morning report from Axios revealed.

Democrats bet big on “reproductive rights” this election cycle, with Planned Parenthood even offering free abortions near their national convention. But the strategy didn’t pay off. Not only was abortion a flop with the electorate, it was Republicans—not Democrats—who pushed the winning women’s-rights issue: fighting the encroachment of biological men into women’s spaces and sports. “We will get. . . transgender insanity the hell out of our schools, and we will keep men out of women’s sports,” Donald Trump said to roaring applause at his Madison Square Garden rally a week before the election.

Over the last quarter century, progressives argued that we should decriminalize drugs, stop enforcing laws against nonviolent crimes, and radically reduce the number of people in prison. This softer approach to crime, addiction, and homelessness was demonstrably more effective and compassionate than tougher models, they said. Hundreds of articles, books, documentaries, TV segments, and fact sheets all buttressed this worldview.
We all needed more empathy for those committing crimes, more empathy for drug dealers, the activists said, and soon the politicians did, too. In that frenzy of compassion, it wasn’t the criminals who were demonized, but the victims.

Markets in China tumbled on Friday, dismayed by a disappointing stimulus package from Beijing and fear that President-elect Donald Trump will restore high tariffs on Chinese exports.
Factories in China are reportedly surging production to pump goods into the supply chain before Trump takes office. Chinese investors were expecting a major stimulus commitment from the government after Trump won the U.S. election on Tuesday, but all they got on Friday was a relatively weak $1.4 trillion five-year plan that was mostly focused on reducing the huge debt load of China’s local governments.

The election of Republican Kelly Ayotte as New Hampshire’s governor means 13 women will serve as a state’s chief executive next year, breaking the record of 12 set after the 2022 elections.
Governors hold powerful sway in American politics, shaping state policy and often using the experience and profile gained to launch campaigns for higher offices.
“It matters to have women in those roles to normalize the image of women in political leadership and even more specifically in executive leadership, where they’re the sole leader, not just a member of a team,” said Kelly Dittmar, director of research at the Rutgers Center for American Women and Politics.

Elections often tell you less about the winners than the losers. Victory has many fathers, as the saying goes, but defeat shows you exactly what went wrong.
Pennsylvania’s 2024 results offer a master class in Democratic collapse: while Trump edged out Kamala Harris by 2 points in the presidential race, Republicans romped to victory in every down-ballot statewide contest.
Dave McCormick pulled out a narrow victory over three-term Senator Bob Casey; Dave Sunday trounced Eugene DePasquale by 5 points in the attorney general race; and incumbent Tim DeFoor beat Malcolm Kenyatta by an even wider margin for auditor general.

A part of me wonders if Joe Biden was more cogent than he let on in public. It’s not exactly like that classic SNL skit with Phil Hartman, who played an aloof Ronald Reagan in front of the cameras but a commanding political force behind the scenes around the time Iran-Contra was in the news. For sure, he’s lost more than a step, but this seems to be a tale of the ultimate political revenge. Three sources close to Harris are expressing concern that Harris’ path to victory may be too narrow to overcome.

Of all the excesses of the four-year Trump interregnum that was the Biden-Harris administration, none was worse than the left’s use of our legal system to exact political retribution and “send a message” to those who dared oppose progressive extremism. It had all the markings of totalitarian behavior, but now it’s going down in flames.
The idea of America as a nation ruled by laws, not by the biases and whims of political powers, has been central to our country’s identity and stability since its very founding. It’s what makes our country unique in the world.

Kamala Harris is so finished that she is already being erased from memory.
A mural of Harris that was painted on the side of a building in Atlanta, Georgia has already been painted over. This confirms that despite all the hype from Democrats and media that Harris was another Obama, the hype was all completely manufactured. Totally fake.
In four years, when Democrats begin announcing that they’re running for president, Harris will probably not be one of them.

It took less than a day following Donald Trump’s decisive victory November 5 for Democrats to start talking about their plans to hamstring his incoming administration. There’s little Trump can do about third parties seeking to undermine his presidency aside from vigorously responding to them, and we can rest assured that he and his team will do just that. But efforts to derail Trump’s mandate aren’t limited to politicians in Albany or Sacramento. There are thousands of Biden administration appointees currently working in the Executive Branch, and Trump can and should get rid of every single one of them on January 20.

New York City can’t use an unconstitutional, two-century-old “anti-pauper” law to block the state of Texas from offering migrants free bus rides to the city from the southern border, a state judge has ruled.
The court on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit brought by Mayor Eric Adams in January against charter bus companies contracted by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. It sought to bar them from knowingly dropping off “needy persons,” citing an 1817 state law that criminalized bringing an indigent person into the state “for the purpose of making him a public charge.”
Justice Mary Rosado said in a sternly worded decision that the law is unconstitutional for several reasons.

Republicans are celebrating this week and Democrats are going through various stages of despair and disbelief, wondering what to do next. Over at the NY Times, Ezra Klein has a reminder which seems written for an audience of dejected Democrats but which is probably something Republicans should think about as well.
There are really two messages, the first one is that the Obama coalition is dead and won't be coming back. Whatever glue once held that group of progressives and minorities together just blew up. Instead of a black candidate winning as Obama did in 2008, we had a black candidate losing. Instead of uniform rallying together
