It’s a shame what’s going on in Springfield, Ohio. [Snip] They’re eating dogs. They’re eating cats. [Snip] It’s been thoroughly debunked, but since when does truth matter when you have the backing of the triumvirate of political treachery: Trump, his running mate and Ohio’s Republican senator, J.D. Vance, and Republican Bernie Moreno, who is trying to unseat Ohio’s other senator, Democrat Sherrod Brown. [Snip] In MAGA-land, focusing targets on brown-skinned immigrants can be a dangerous game. [Snip] All because of a politically advantageous lie, promoted largely by a man out on bond.

I had not thought about pagers much (or at all) until the Hezbollah pagers blew up recently. [Snip] Anyway, that whole thing that happened in Lebanon with the pagers and walkie-talkies should be a wake-up call to our readership and listeners that we need a Plan B. Our grid could go down, and our systems could go down, which is why I’m thinking about pagers. However, we still need to rely on the pager company. As for satellite phones, the problem is they’re very expensive. So, my parting shot is that we should not kid ourselves, we are at risk also.

What scandalizes and fills us with horror is not as much the series of monomaniacal provocations of Bergoglio, who has now proven his rebellious and apostatic nature, so much as the cowardice of the entire Episcopate.
I do not understand how a Successor of the Apostles can tolerate the open apostasy from the Faith of the one who presents himself as the head of the Church, as if it were the ravings of a deranged person... Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted CNN’s invitation to debate Donald Trump for a second time ahead of the November election — despite the latter’s insistence that he doesn’t see a “need” to face-off again.
“The American people deserve another opportunity to see Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate before they cast their ballots,” Harris-Walz campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said Saturday.
“It would be unprecedented in modern history for there to just be one general election debate. Debates offer a unique chance for voters to see the candidates side by side and take stock of their competing visions for America.
While Kamala Harris has taken a page from Biden’s basement campaign by hiding from the media, except when it is a fawning interviewer, like Oprah, the odds seemed slim she would agree to another presidential debate against Donald Trump.

The University of Washington’s Center for Leadership and Media Studies poll, published Friday, shows the candidates are tied two in a two-way race among registered voters, while Harris has razor-thin edge with likely voters. Each garners 45 percent of the 850 registered voter respondents’ support in a head-to-head matchup. Three percent prefer someone else, and four percent are undecided. Two percent would not vote, and one percent refused to answer.
