Axios has a story about the Harris/Walz strategy of avoiding media interviews and press conferences, and the obvious question is not whether it is fair to the American people, but rather "could it work?" Fairness and politics rarely mix, so there is no point in whinging about the strategy. It may annoy you, me, and the political obsessives, but if it works, then it works. I get upset about the lies and hoaxes because they are flat-out corruption that the media should be pointing out, but Biden's basement strategy worked for him and perhaps Harris's arms-length strategy will work for her. Axios' analysis lays out the numbers,

Gavin Newsom just got publicly humiliated. Newsom and group of elected Democrats in Sacramento have been campaigning for months to kill a ballot initiative called Prop. 36. Prop. 36 would rollback an earlier crime-related proposition called Prop. 47. If that sounds familiar that's because Prop. 47 is viewed by many as partially responsible for the rise in open drug use and rampant property crime California has been experiencing for the past several years.
The effort to get Prop. 36 on the ballot was funded by a bunch of big retailers who were on the wrong end of California's crime problem. But from the start of this year. Newsom

FRANKFORT, Ky. — A judge in a rural Kentucky county was shot and killed in his courthouse chambers Thursday, and the local sheriff was charged with murder, police said.
The preliminary investigation indicates Letcher County Sheriff Shawn M. Stines shot District Judge Kevin Mullins multiple times following an argument inside the courthouse, according to Kentucky State Police. Mullins, who held the judgeship for 15 years, died at the scene, and Stines surrendered without incident
Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice Laurance B. VanMeter said he was “shocked by this act of violence” and that the court system was “shaken by this news.”

Former President Donald Trump addressed low voter turnout among gun owners and urged them to get out and vote in November during his Wednesday campaign rally in Uniondale, New York.
Trump said, “You know, it’s an interesting thing — Evangelical Christians, they tend not to vote very much; if they did, you’d never lose.”
He added, “Gun owners…don’t vote — meaning they don’t vote in a proportion that they should; very small numbers vote…The gun owners have to get out and vote.”
Trump has been a consistent defender of the Second Amendment and is endorsed by the National Rifle Association (NRA) in this race, as he was in 2016 and 2020.

Crime is a major issue in this year’s election, yet major media ignored the release of a significant new government report showing a surge in violent crime. The increase in violent crime during the Biden administration is a record increase.
The latest data released last Thursday from the Department of Justice’s National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) reveal a sharp increase in violent crime under the Biden-Harris administration compared to when Trump left office. During the debate, Mr. Muir noted: “President Trump, as you know, the FBI says overall violent crime is coming down in this country.” But Mr. Muir would have been much more accurate if he said

A new car safety study has proven that electric vehicles (EVs) are too heavy to be restrained by guardrails that line roads in case of accidents, researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln said.
As the amount of EVs such as Teslas and Chevrolet Bolts take over the roads amid concerns over the environmental impact of gasoline-powered vehicles, one of the lead researchers from the university’s Midwest Roadside Safety Facility (MwRSF) warned that there needs to be “some urgency to address this issue.”
In a study sponsored by the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) and partnered with Auburn University’s Transportation Research Institute, MwRSF conducted a “first-of-its-kind crash test”

The wisdom of the MAGA crowd continues to be grossly underestimated by liberal media propagandists across America, causing them to get humiliated time and again.
In a segment aired on Anderson Cooper 360° Wednesday evening, CNN reporter Elle Reeve went to Florida to interview Trump supporters attending a MAGA flotilla/boat parade organized by the Bay County Republican Party in Panama City Beach’s Shell Island. The purpose of her trip was supposedly to gauge opinions on the issues important to Trump supporters.
Things then went south for Reeve, who eventually encountered a shirtless, beer-drinking man named Joe Harner. She started by asking him what his most important issue was,

Meaning, is there any doubt that if Kamala Harris wins the presidential election, she'll flip-flop right back to her previous position on the free flow of illegal aliens into the country? No. Which is exactly what dozens of left-wing immigration groups and other progressive groups are betting on.
The groups, which are backing Harris' efforts to beat former President Donald Trump, plan to pressure the San Francisco radical if she wins in November to abandon the recent, bipartisan border security bill she promised to sign if elected, according to sources who spoke to Axios.
The groups referred to that bill as "harmful"

The resolution was not only supported by 124 members, but by the body's Secretary-General. As the Jerusalem Post reported:

If you gave Kamala Harris a fire hydrant, a fire hose, one of those hydrant wrenches, and instructions to fill the little blue kiddie pool in your front yard, she couldn't get enough water in that thing to make a tissue damp. At least that's my takeaway after FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr's scorching congressional review of Harris's oversight of Joe Biden's multibillion-dollar plan to wire rural homes with high-speed internet.
"In 2021, Vice President Harris agreed to lead a $42 billion effort to expand internet access to millions. It's been 1,039 days, and no one has been connected—no homes, no businesses, not even a shovel in the ground."

Hillary has long been one of America’s foremost censorship advocates. In 2022, she wailed that “tech platforms have amplified disinformation and extremism with no accountability” and endorsed European Union legislation to obliterate free speech.

Senator JD Vance (R-OH), running mate of former and potentially future President Donald Trump, has been lauded as a fitting mouthpiece for the Trump-Vance campaign. An undeniable point about the 2024 presidential race is that Vance is out there speaking to the people and the press. Since July 21, when President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, Vance has done 59 interviews. Trump has done 14. Vice President Kamala Harris, meanwhile, has given just three interviews, while her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), has given four interviews. Vance has given seven times more interviews on his own than the Harris-Walz ticket combined.

Democrats love to call Donald Trump a “threat to democracy.” Ask one what they think of the former President and they’ll belch it out. Ask what time it is and there’s least and 80 percent chance they’ll tell you it’s “Threat to democracy o’clock.” I’d say it’s Pavlovian, but that would be an insult to dogs that were trained to behave a certain way by comparing them people who simply obey for its own sake. The events of the last few years have confirmed that we are no longer a democracy in the sense that we once thought we were – and I know we’re a republic, but follow along with me. The premise of a democracy is that individual citizens can participate in the political process by making their positions known and voting for representatives who they understand will support their views. But those components are under attack here and throughout the West. They are under attack because our garbage elite considers our participation in our own governance to be both morally illegitimate and a practical nuisance.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of WBUR’s “Here and Now,” POLITICO Playbook Co-author and White House Correspondent Eugene Daniels, who interviewed 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris for an event with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), stated that Harris “didn’t answer” his question on a federal response to help Springfield, Ohio with the issues of lack of resources it faced before and faces after an influx of migrants and she instead took the moment to attack her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to lead former president Donald Trump in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, according to a new post-debate poll, while the race remains a dead heat nationally.
Half of Pennsylvanians said they would vote for Harris if the election were held today compared to 46 percent who said they’d back Trump, according to a set of polls conducted by the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College in the week after the September 10 ABC News debate. Harris’s 4-point lead is slightly outside the Pennsylvania survey’s margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.

The unconventional Harris-Walz affinity group for white male supporters, “White Dudes for Harris,” is out with a new ad urging its target demographic to support the Democratic campaign because they’re “actually talking to guys like us.”
The spot, which is part of a more than $10 million ad buy that will run in several key swing states, begins with a tough-guy narrator acknowledging that “white dudes” are “pretty sick of hearing how much we suck every time you go online.”
But the 60-second ad then claims that “some white dudes” are in fact the problem, pointing to “Trump and all his MAGA buddies.”

“Evangelicals for Harris” — the phrase alone is quite possibly the biggest oxymoron of this election cycle.
Look closely and you’ll find they’re an alliance of disgruntled anti-Trumpers clinging to the title of “Evangelical” like they know what it means, while proudly planting their cross in Kamala’s camp this November. Dig a little deeper and it’s really just an orchestrated coup by the who’s who of the “Orange Man Bad” fan club to pick off votes from a lucrative demographic that overwhelmingly supports the former president.
In a tweet not long after launching, Evangelicals for Harris announced their “ultimate allegiance is to Christ and His eternal Kingdom,” and

If we thought yesterday was astonishing enough, that astonishment has deepened further today.
Yesterday, an audacious and unprecedented attack on Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon and Syria somehow caused thousands of electronic pagers to blow up simultaneously, killing at least 12 Hezbollah men and wounding at least 3000
(Snip) Even worse was their humiliation as the Arab world, no less than Israel’s supporters, erupted on social media in a blizzard of hilarious memes. Israel has made Hezbollah into an international laughing stock. In the Arab world, that’s deadly.
The further brilliance of the operation was to target the enemy with absolutely minimal civilian casualties

For the second time in as many months, an assassin targeted Donald Trump, and the left blamed … Donald Trump. It’s his violent rhetoric, you see, that is poisoning the body politic and causing everyone to go crazy. Or something like that.
Never mind that the second would-be assassin, Ryan Routh, had written a book in which he called on Iran to assassinate Trump, gave money to Democrats, and posted on X in April using the exact same language Democrats have been pushing for years – “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose. We cannot afford to fail. The world is counting on us to show the way.”

Former Democratic operative Evan Barker has penned a scathing rebuke of the party on whose behalf she once worked tirelessly, raising millions in the process. In her words, her eyes began opening when she attended the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago: Initially, I was thrilled to attend this rite of passage for every political operative. But once there, wandering amidst the glitz and glam, imbibing the gloss and schmaltz of it all, I couldn't escape a sinking feeling. I felt submersed in a hollow chamber whose mottos were "Brat summer" and "Joy"—totally out of touch with regular, every-day Americans and their pressing needs;

Jill Biden is going to honor the cast members of the TV show ‘The West Wing’ at the White House on Friday to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the show.
This is the same administration that couldn’t even be bothered to honor Gold Star families by showing up at Arlington National Cemetery this summer and then had the nerve to criticize Trump for doing so.
This tells you everything you need to know about the Democrats. This is who they really care about. This is who they want approval from.

Democrats and corporate media keep getting away with it. What they’re getting away with is inciting violence -- against Donald Trump, first and foremost. Two assassination attempts didn’t happen in a void. Trump didn’t provoke Thomas Matthew Crooks and Ryan Wesley Routh to try to kill him, despite Lester Holt’s spin. Holt’s broadside is predictable: project blame -- in this case, blame the victim. Democrats and their media watercarriers refuse to accept responsibility for wrongs, even when the proof is hiding in plain sight.

Back in the late 1980s to early 1990s, the only people with pagers were doctors and drug dealers. And if you happened to be friends with a doctor or drug dealer, you learned to call the pager and leave a numeric code. (We even figured out a way to pass along football scores.) This communication process wasn’t turnkey, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. But pagers, of course, went the way of the typewriter and telegraph machine. Nowadays, the only people who still use pagers are, well, doctors and drug dealers. (Lots of hospitals have lousy cell reception, so the medical staff is armed with pagers.)

Today's second wave of electronic bombings on Hezb'allah members in Lebanon, apparently by Israel, has got to have the Iran-backed terrorists freaking out.
Yesterday, some 3,000 terrorists got their Hezb'allah-approved pagers detonated on them at once, killing a few and leaving a lot with blown off hands, eyes, or private parts.
At least one of them got it on the toilet: Their communications networks were cut, and most likely, Israel had already tracked their entire network location from the rigged devices in the weeks previously.

This short video segment highlights exactly what professional gaslighting looks like. The White House staff, Joe Biden and the White House press secretary have repeatedly called President Trump “a threat to democracy.” And now, following the second assassination attempt on President Trump’s life, the White House press secretary is appalled that anyone would say their rhetoric and calling President Trump a “threat” was any form of incitement. In fact, asking the White House about their own language choices is akin to attacking them. Within the clip the Press Secretary immediately claims victim status, and then decries the effort to ask her questions about her statements.

Part political manifesto, part memoir, the book provides a wellspring of information about Routh’s eccentric political opinions and bizarre personality. Here are several key takeaways:

President Joe Biden, to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, said he had but one fixed criterion. The nominee must be a black female. California Supreme Court Justice Janice Rogers Brown did not set out to become the first black female nominated to the United States Supreme Court. But had it not been for then-Sen. To avoid alienating voters, Kamala Harris is staying mum on the details of her presidential agenda. Yet she’s already left enough clues about her intentions toward Israel for its supporters to be highly alarmed.
Her interview Tuesday at the National Association of Black Journalists made that clear yet again.
Harris would stick 100% to her team’s current approach, which has dragged out the war by impeding Israeli military progress. She’s blasting Israel and pushing a “cease-fire” that would set up another horrifying round of warfare.
She’s proud of the Harris-Biden halt on US weapons to Israel:

Nobody likes to see humans writhing in agony, but Israel’s daring operation to simultaneously explode pagers in the pockets of Hezbollah terrorists and their associates this week was a ruthless tactical masterstroke.
In bloody scenes captured on video on social media, men could be seen shopping or sitting on a motorbike one minute and on the ground moaning and covered in blood the next.
At least 12 people were killed and nearly 3,000 people were injured in Lebanon Tuesday, and a similar detonation of Hezbollah walkie-talkies the next day killed another 20 people and injured 450.

O]ne of the key fronts in this war is not in the Middle East. It's in the United States.
[T]he political battle over the war in Gaza has been going pretty much the way the terrorists wanted it to. That's reflected in Mashaal's confidence, as well as Hamas's negotiating tactics and its strategy in Gaza. After Oct. 7, the terrorists have been doing nothing but playing for time. And they expected that the time they needed to outlast the Israeli offensive would be provided to them by Israel's closest ally.

Car insurance rates have skyrocketed under the leadership of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, and Americans are feeling the squeeze.
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that car insurance prices rose 55 percent from January 2021 — when Biden and Harris first took office — to July 2024 — the last year of their first term.
Once again, their policies are to blame. As Breitbart News previously reported, Americans’ auto insurance rates are rapidly rising due to the pro-migration policies of Biden and Harris, putting millions of these new migrant drivers — “often without driver training or English language lessons” — on the road, increasing risk.

The city of Springfield, Ohio, has unwittingly become Ground Zero in the political maelstrom of this election, buffeted by the crosswinds of opportunism and the politicization of the press. While the Trump-Vance campaign has been highlighting what may be taking place in this small town the news outlets have been more eager to accuse the campaign of hatefulness and division, rather than looking into the matter. As a result, a surreal battle of will is swirling and the facts are completely lost in the debris. We are in an era in which this country's legacy news media displays an abject lack of regard for their journalistic reputations.

When Tim Walz's lips are moving, like Kamala Harris, chances are he's lying. The exception with Harris, of course, is that she could also be laughing like a hyena.
Anyway, speaking at a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday, Waz said former President Donald “Trump is trying to create this new government entity that will monitor all pregnancies to enforce their abortion bans.” The claim is categorically false, which we'll revisit in a bit.
You might remember that Kamala Harris made the same unfounded claim at the Democrat National Convention in August, and again during the 3-on-1 presidential debate on ABC —

Donald Trump made an in-studio appearance on the Greg Gutfeld show on FOX News tonight. This is huge because Gutfeld reaches a massive audience. His ratings even eclipse network shows like Colbert and Kimmel on a regular basis.
Plus, the atmosphere is much different on Gutfeld than other FOX News shows. This isn’t like an appearance on Hannity or Laura Ingraham’s show. It’s a fun and laid back environment.
The live audience gave Trump a standing ovation when he was introduced.
From FOX News: Trump’s appearance was taped Wednesday afternoon at FOX News Media’s New York City headquarters before the former president headed to Long Island for a campaign rally.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a strict new censorship law Tuesday that will make it illegal to produce or distribute AI political videos around election season. Tell me that this doesn't sound like it infringes on the First Amendment:
The new law, the strictest in the country, takes effect immediately and aims to crack down on deceptive content which uses artificial intelligence to create false images or videos.
The law makes it illegal to create and publish deepfakes ahead of Election Day and 60 days thereafter. It also allows courts to stop distribution of the materials and impose civil penalties, per The Associated Press.
The blowback was immediate.
