Will the Harris Press Strategy Work? I

Axios has a story about the Harris/Walz strategy of avoiding media interviews and press conferences, and the obvious question is not whether it is fair to the American people, but rather "could it work?" Fairness and politics rarely mix, so there is no point in whinging about the strategy. It may annoy you, me, and the political obsessives, but if it works, then it works. I get upset about the lies and hoaxes because they are flat-out corruption that the media should be pointing out, but Biden's basement strategy worked for him and perhaps Harris's arms-length strategy will work for her. It's quite simple. If she avoids the media, people think she is unqualified to be president. If she talks to the media, people know she is unqualified to be president.

We've been doing a lot of coverage of the 2024 race, but even though Joe Biden was shoved off the campaign, he's still occupying the office of the president, which is concerning given the condition he's in. He seems to have largely disappeared from view except for occasional outings since he withdrew. Maybe they're hoping to do what they can to hide him through the election. But on Thursday, someone made a mistake and let him out to speak at The Economic Club in Washington, D.C. Letting Biden out to talk about the economy is never a smart idea. You never know what he might say. In this case,

Kamala Harris finally did an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists on Tuesday. As my colleague Jennifer Oliver O'Connell explained, it was far different from how they treated former President Donald Trump when they interviewed him; they treated her with kid gloves. That being said, she still had trouble, and she couldn't even give straight answers to obvious questions like are Americans better off under Biden-Harris than they were four years ago. Of course she couldn't give an honest straight answer to that question, because we all know what the honest answer would be. No.

Gov. Newsom Humiliated As His Months-Long
Effort to Sabotage Prop 36 Completely Fails

Gavin Newsom just got publicly humiliated. Newsom and group of elected Democrats in Sacramento have been campaigning for months to kill a ballot initiative called Prop. 36. Prop. 36 would rollback an earlier crime-related proposition called Prop. 47. If that sounds familiar that's because Prop. 47 is viewed by many as partially responsible for the rise in open drug use and rampant property crime California has been experiencing for the past several years. The effort to get Prop. 36 on the ballot was funded by a bunch of big retailers who were on the wrong end of California's crime problem. But from the start of this year. Newsom

FRANKFORT, Ky. — A judge in a rural Kentucky county was shot and killed in his courthouse chambers Thursday, and the local sheriff was charged with murder, police said. The preliminary investigation indicates Letcher County Sheriff Shawn M. Stines shot District Judge Kevin Mullins multiple times following an argument inside the courthouse, according to Kentucky State Police. Mullins, who held the judgeship for 15 years, died at the scene, and Stines surrendered without incident Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice Laurance B. VanMeter said he was “shocked by this act of violence” and that the court system was “shaken by this news.”

The office of Ohio governor Mike DeWine is not disclosing which country is responsible for some of the bomb-threat hoaxes called into Springfield schools. The aim is to “discourage further threats to the schools and other buildings.” This is more than a little frustrating because the general public already has a short suspect list. The FBI has already publicly discussed the desire of Russia, China, and Iran to influence the 2024 election and how “sowing discord and undermining democracy is consistent across the board.” Earlier this month, an official with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence told reporters:

Did Hassan Nasrallah learn a lesson from the last two days? Losing over 3,000 operatives in a 48-hour period over your own incompetent strategic planning and execution should have provided an impulse toward introspection, at the very least. Right? Apparently not. While the leader of Hezbollah acknowledged that Israel's Pagercide dealt them a "severe blow," Nasrallah insisted that he would continue chucking missiles at northern Israel, as his terror army has done for the last eleven months. Oh, and he also complained that exploding pagers were "an act of war," too: Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah called the two days of deadly blasts linked to electronic devices

Hezbollah has accused Israel of crossing “all red lines” with its deadly detonation of walkie-talkies and pagers, as Israeli forces launched a fresh wave of strikes across Lebanon. Sonic booms from low-flying Israeli jets shook the buildings in Beirut during a televised speech by the militant group’s leader Hassan Nasrallah in which he warned this week’s unprecedented action “could be called a declaration of war”. Israel has yet to confirm or deny it was behind the remote explosions, which killed at least 37 people including two children. More than 3,000 people were also wounded, according to the Lebanese health ministry, whose top medics told The Independent that they were struggling

The Times said: Vice President Kamala Harris will give remarks in Atlanta on Friday focused on the stories of two Georgia mothers whose deaths she has argued show the consequences of the strict abortion

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to lead former president Donald Trump in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, according to a new post-debate poll, while the race remains a dead heat nationally. Half of Pennsylvanians said they would vote for Harris if the election were held today compared to 46 percent who said they’d back Trump, according to a set of polls conducted by the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College in the week after the September 10 ABC News debate. Harris’s 4-point lead is slightly outside the Pennsylvania survey’s margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.

Back in the late 1980s to early 1990s, the only people with pagers were doctors and drug dealers. And if you happened to be friends with a doctor or drug dealer, you learned to call the pager and leave a numeric code. (We even figured out a way to pass along football scores.) This communication process wasn’t turnkey, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. But pagers, of course, went the way of the typewriter and telegraph machine. Nowadays, the only people who still use pagers are, well, doctors and drug dealers. (Lots of hospitals have lousy cell reception, so the medical staff is armed with pagers.)

Look closely and you’ll find they’re an alliance of disgruntled anti-Trumpers clinging to the title of “Evangelical” like they know what it means, while proudly planting their cross in Kamala’s camp this November. Dig a little deeper and it’s really just an orchestrated coup by the who’s who of the “Orange Man Bad” fan club to pick off votes from a lucrative demographic that overwhelmingly supports the former president. In a tweet not long after launching, Evangelicals for Harris announced their “ultimate allegiance is to Christ and His eternal Kingdom,” and

As Breitbart News previously reported, Americans’ auto insurance rates are rapidly rising due to the pro-migration policies of Biden and Harris, putting millions of these new migrant drivers — “often without driver training or English language lessons” — on the road, increasing risk.
