Back in the late 1980s to early 1990s, the only people with pagers were doctors and drug dealers. And if you happened to be friends with a doctor or drug dealer, you learned to call the pager and leave a numeric code. (We even figured out a way to pass along football scores.) This communication process wasn’t turnkey, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. But pagers, of course, went the way of the typewriter and telegraph machine. Nowadays, the only people who still use pagers are, well, doctors and drug dealers. (Lots of hospitals have lousy cell reception, so the medical staff is armed with pagers.)

Israelis figured out a way to cripple the terrorists without harming the children their hide behind. Those Israelis are geniuses!

Many Volunteer Fire Departments and Rescue Squads in America are dispatched on emergency calls by pagers, and by Apps on cell phones.

FTA - "Either way, Israel’s actions carried a secondary message — one that the media overlook but will soon coalesce in the hearts and minds of Israel’s adversaries: We delivered you these pagers. We’ve been tracking your movements for months. We know where you are currently. We know where you go for your “secret meetings.” We know who you’re meeting with. We know everything about who you are and what you do."
And then there are laptops, cell phone and laptop chargers, Fitbit watches, ipads, televisions, radios, computer printer cartridges, wifi boxes, credit cards, unlaunched missiles, and {fill in the blank}.
I can just picture this now in a hamas and hezbollah bunker at 3am - {cell phone ringing}, "whose turn is it to answer the phone? Abdul, you're low man on the totem pole. It's your turn, pal."

It would be foolish to expect that the terrorists won't catch up. But the key point is that the Israelis won't be there. They will be two steps ahead by the time.

Don't overlook the added dividend of HezBallLess being laughed at, they're extra steamed now and subject to making rash choices in their anger.

Saw somewhere this morning that the terrorists walkie-talkies are suddenly exploding when in use. That could hurt.

Many of the bad guys have "lost an eye," according to reports. Media organizations have sought Hezbollah's reaction to the exploding pagers and walkie-talkies, but for some unknown reason they aren't answering their phones at the moment. At least twenty dead, and counting. Over three thousand injured. Some will need eye patches. Some will need new genitalia. Some will need burial. As Bushwood Country Club greenkeeper Carl Spackler said after coming up with a foolproof strategy to eliminate gophers, "I have to laugh."

Some of the best results are the agonized Left's moans about their beloved terrorists being so easily dispatched or significantly damaged. Note that terrorists are using these pagers, etc. so they cannot be tracked by their cell phones. The Israelis figured out that was like waving a flag saying, "Here I am and I'm a terrorist!". Bullseye! Ingenious!
How will the terrorists communicate now? By passing notes?

But why now? Why did Israel choose this moment to blow the pagers/talkies/solar panels?
Only guessing, but the longer they waited, the more likely their explosives would be discovered and the entire plan would fail.
Also, maybe they thought they'd get the most bang for their buck if they set 'em off right before a big, Hezbollah offensive, so as to derail the offensive...who knows?

The pagers were manufactured by a company in Hungary. There was a great deal of puzzlement how explosives were inserted in them by Israeli intelligence. Reporters went to this factory to pose that question. There was no one in the factory. Guess why?

How many of these people have figured out yet that October 7th and subsequent attacks was a bad idea? Irritating the IDF and Mossad is like poking a large nest of White Face Hornets with a stick. You are not going to get away with it, I don't care who you are.

Hope the savages aren't reading Dodge Boy and me: I've been thinking about how many women and girls and mentally-impaired little boys will now be on 24-hour call duty, carrying the communication devices. Then it's a win-win: The gutless terrorists survive and their media supporters can print huge headlines: Hundreds of children, mothers blown up by IDF. Of course, they've already thought of this. Wouldn't surprise me if the one "child" killed per the first round of headlines hadn't been killed by Hamas in order to pump up their press coverage.
