I’m a true-blue Democrat — but I’ve

I walked away from the Democratic Party and joined the Republicans. I will vote for Donald Trump for president. I’ve been a true-blue Democrat, a former California state senator who chaired its Senate Democratic Caucus and served as Senate Majority Leader. I was a Democratic National Convention delegate for Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, and state co-chair for President Obama’s re-election. But I’ve said goodbye, adios, I’ve had enough. This is not the Democratic Party I once championed. I don’t recognize it anymore. The so-called “party of democracy” eradicated 14 million votes, including mine, to install Vice President Kamala Harris as its nominee.

Right on cue. No doubt the democrats are touting the Trump people who have gone over to the communist side too. Like most everything else that has transpired, this little dance gets repeated every election.

A campaign speech by Minnesota first lady Gwen Walz, in which she used a sweeping hand gesture to say "bye bye" and "turn the page" on former President Trump energized a Wisconsin audience, but induced cringes elsewhere. Gwen Walz was slammed as the "living embodiment of Trump Derangement Syndrome" for a stump speech for her husband, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin on Saturday.

In the wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that Florida would conduct its own investigation. For a second time in two months, a would-be assassin was able to get within shooting range of Trump. The first time, Trump sustained a wound to his ear in Butler, Pa., after Thomas Michael Crooks climbed atop a building in the firing line of the former president and managed to get off several shots before he was shot and killed by Secret Service. One rallygoer was killed, and another was severely wounded in the attack.

"In its boldest move, Hezbollah sent four drones toward the Karish platform several weeks ago, all of which were intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces," reported The Times of Israel on July 31, 2022. This was exactly what surrendering part of the gas field to Hezbollah was supposed to prevent. The alleged gunman who authorities said targeted former President Trump while he golfed in Florida Sunday afternoon previously declared on social media that “Democracy is on the ballot” this year, and “we cannot lose” — echoing the anti-Trump rhetoric used by Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden. Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as Ryan Wesley Routh, 58. Routh, who has a lengthy criminal record from North Carolina, frequently posted about politics and exclusively donated to Democratic candidates and causes dating back to 2019.

President Trump and his opponent Kamala Harris were both asked the exact same question about what they could immediately do with policy to improve the economic status of Americans. This provides a very specific compare and contrast opportunity. Kamala Harris delivers a strange, disconnected and unintelligible word salad in her response, never answering the question. President Trump gives three specific and immediate tax policy changes to benefit three specific groups of working Americans.

New York City Hall’s chief counsel is leaving her post in Eric Adams’ administration — just days after NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban resigned in the aftermath of federal raids targeting a spate of cops and close aides of the mayor, she announced late Saturday. Former senior Manhattan federal prosecutor Lisa Zornberg had served as the lead attorney for the mayor and City Hall since July 2023. Her sudden departure comes as federal investigators have zeroed in on members of Adams’ inner circle and other allies. NYC City Hall chief counsel Lisa Zornberg is leaving Mayor Eric Adam's office.

Kamala Harris had the help of the moderators during the debate, and people have raised questions about whether there was any other assistance there. But otherwise, she's largely tried to avoid questions because when she does answer questions, things don't go well. Her first solo television interview was such a train wreck, that the Trump campaign posted the whole thing, calling it their "newest ad." It was that bad. She couldn't even keep it together for such a short period of time:

What do the climate activists really want? Do they have nothing more in mind than a noble crusade to prevent the burning sky from falling on us? Or is the global warming scare just another piece of the revolution? It’s of course the latter. We know this because they’re constantly telling us it is. The most recent admission comes from Los Angeles Times environmental reporter Rosanna Xia, whose exhausting essay under the headline “To fix climate anxiety (and also climate change), we first have to fix individualism” was posted on Wednesday – yes, Sept. 11.

It might not be such a “Love Story” after all. Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, may turn more voters away than it attracts. A new post-debate poll from YouGov released Saturday found that 8% of voters said the pop superstar’s nod is either “somewhat” or “much more likely” to convince them to cast their ballot for the Democrat. But a whopping 20% said they are “somewhat” or “much less likely” to vote for former President Donald Trump’s opponent now that Swift has spoken.

The viral picture of a man holding two geese on an Ohio street being used to fuel claims that migrants have been gobbling up pets was nothing more than a wild goose chase, according to a report. The anonymous man who was snapped carrying the bodies of two birds earlier this week was removing them from the street after they were hit by a car, the Ohio Division of Wildlife confirmed to TMZ. There is no evidence he was taking them home to eat or that he is a migrant, the agency said.

Access to top bunks and overhead valves were also designed with the height, reach and strength of women in mind. The nuclear-powered submarine was unofficially nicknamed "Jersey Girl," and its interior spaces decorated with posters and memorabilia representing the state, including a guitar signed by Jon Bon Jovi, the news outlet reported.

Arguably, the worst reaction came from fake Republican and DNC speaker Ana Navarro, who seemed to scoff at the outrage over the political violence directed at her favorite hate object: Trump.

Pope Francis has ruffled the feathers of some religious leaders in the United States by saying that all religions provide a path to God. Francis delivered the spontaneous remark late last week during an interfaith gathering with young people at a Catholic institution in Singapore, according to The Christian Post. He went off-script from his prepared speech, emphasizing that different faiths serve as “languages” leading to the same divine truth. “There’s only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God,” Francis said, as reported by the Catholic news website Crux Now. “Some are Sheik, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and they are different paths [to God].”

I have a very different take than Jazz's on what happened yesterday. I have no doubt that it was an assassination attempt against Trump, and I also have no doubt that the Routh was incited to violence by the outrageous rhetoric deployed against Trump. There is lots of evidence coming out about Ryan Wesley Routh, who is obviously about as deranged as the average MSNBC viewer. But among those things is his support for Biden/Harris (he has a Biden/Harris bumper sticker), his obsession with Ukraine, and his hatred for Donald Trump. Routh's son Oran Routh told the DailyMail.com shortly after Sunday's shooting that his father hates Trump

Donald Trump was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida, when Ryan Wesley Routh waited along the green, hoping to assassinate the former president and record it. He left a GoPro and an AK-style rifle mounted with a scope on the scene. He was later apprehended by local police, but not before scurrying when Secret Service agents opened fire on him; they saw the barrel from his gun through the shrubbery. Ryan Wesley Routh has a criminal record that spans the Himalayas. We’re waiting to see if he was on the radar for any federal law enforcement agencies vis-à-vis recent threats:
