Fresh off the crackdown on so-called “keyboard warriors” over social media posts connected to the recent anti-mass migration riots, leading leftist politicians in Britain are beginning to demand for new speech restrictions on the internet. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, whose neo-liberal Labour Party government enacted some of the strictest speech laws in modern British history, has joined the chorus of commentators demanding a new crackdown on social media. Speaking to LBC Radio this week, Blair said: “The world is going to have to come together and agree on some rules around social media platforms.

In a revealing interview on "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Senator Bernie Sanders (S-Vt.) said the quiet part out loud, proving what many conservatives have been saying for weeks now: Kamala Harris’s sudden attempt to shift toward the center is nothing more than a political charade to win votes, not a genuine change of ideology. When pressed by host Kristen Welker on Harris’s reversal of key progressive positions—like her prior support for Medicare for All and a ban on fracking—Sanders’s response said it all. Welker asked Sanders directly if Harris was abandoning her progressive ideals, noting that these were issues Sanders himself has championed. Instead

WASHINGTON — President Biden was so hellbent on getting out of Afghanistan that he rebuked any advice to the contrary, ignored the pleas of the Afghan government and disregarded objections from US allies. That was the one of the main takeaways from the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s more than two-year investigation into America’s chaotic, deadly Afghanistan withdrawal, according to a blistering report released Sunday. “During his decades-long tenure as a Delaware US senator, eight years as vice president of the United States and nearly four years as president, Mr. Biden has demonstrated distrust of America’s military experts and advisors and has prioritized politics and his personal legacy over America’s national security interests,”

After six weeks of completely hiding from the media, Kamala Harris finally appeared, with the safety valve of her running mate, in a pre-recorded, brief, and totally friendly interview with Dana Bash of CNN. Bash did not press on the most urgent issues, nor did she follow up when Harris either obfuscated or simply refused to answer. As such, Harris still escapes the scrutiny of any real interview, even though she has applied for the most difficult and important job in the world. Moreover, if anything, the burden of proof should be far higher for Harris given that she was elevated to nominee status by the backroom machinations of powerbrokers,

‘Caution: Those with sensitive stomachs or respect for the truth should stop here.” That’s the warning label The Washington Post should have slapped on a recent essay. Unfortunately, it didn’t and let the writer gas on as if his fabulist claims were grounded in reality. The op-ed was doubly dispiriting because, although it appeared in The Washington Post, it was written by the publisher of The New York Times. Both outlets likely thought the joint imprimatur would increase the audience and impact. Instead, the resulting flop magnifies their effort to spread misinformation. Both outlets apparently still think Americans are foolish enough to trust Big Media to tell them the truth.

Elon Musk is on pace to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, according to a new report from a group that tracks wealth. Informa Connect Academy’s finding about the boss of electric carmaker Tesla, private rocket company SpaceX and social media platform X (formerly Twitter) stems from the fact that Musk’s wealth has been growing at an average annual rate of 110%. He was also the world’s richest person, with $251bn, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as the academy’s 2024 Trillion Dollar Club report began circulating Friday.

Democrats say Vice President Harris’s decision to offer a more modest capital gains tax hike on the wealthy is a step in the right direction to win over voters concerned she’s too liberal or too antagonistic to business. The Trump campaign has cast Harris as a liberal firebrand, pointing to various positions she took in 2019 when she was running for president and courting liberal voters. In recent weeks, since becoming the Democratic nominee, Harris has shifted toward the center, most notably in moving away from her 2019 call to ban fracking, a critical issue in swing state Pennsylvania.

Every state is a border state under the Biden-Harris Administration—even a small town in Ohio with a population of just 56,000. Springfield, Ohio, is making headlines after it was reported that illegal immigrants— specifically Haitian immigrants, are overrunning the small town. Springfield City Commission officials say an estimated 4,000 to 7,000 Haitians have arrived in recent years. During a City Commission meeting last year, community members warned of an invasion of Haitians and the crime they would bring— and they weren’t wrong. This week, a Springfield resident told the mayor that she "can't take it anymore,”

Last year, American universities exploded with protests over a war half a world away in Gaza. In solidarity with the perpetrators of October 7, keffiyeh-clad students covered campus grounds with “encampments,” took over buildings, waved the flags of terrorists, and menaced Jewish classmates. As fall semesters begin this week, some major universities—from NYU to UCLA—have implemented new rules to protect Jewish students from the protesters who declared sections of campus no-go zones for “Zionists,” which often just meant Jews.

The top Department of Justice spokesman for the Southern District of New York was caught on a hidden camera lambasting Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump, calling the case “nonsense” and accusing Democrats of being “out to get” the Republican presidential nominee. Nicholas Biase, chief spokesman for the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office, was secretly recorded in July and August dishing about Bragg and his “hush-money” case against Trump by an undercover journalist for conservative commentator Steven Crowder’s “Mug Club.” Crowder released the shocking footage on Thursday, saying at the onset that Biase was “not the bad guy here,” but an “unwitting whistleblower.”

According to the Daily Wire, parents are suing a Colorado school district due to its “transgender Students” policy that allowed and encouraged children of the opposite sex to be roomed together during overnight trips. Not only did the school district allow students to bunk with whatever sex they claimed to be – but teachers and chaperones who claimed to be the opposite sex, were also permitted to share rooms with minors of the sex they identified with during these trips. From the Daily Wire: “Jefferson County School District’s “Transgender Students” policy requires that all students on overnight visits are to be roomed by their gender identity,

Former President George W. Bush has made an announcement about the 2024 presidential election in November - but he's taking a less prominent stance than his vice president. Bush, a Republican who served from 2001 to 2009, said in a statement Saturday that he has no plans to make a public endorsement or voice how he or his wife Laura will be voting. 'He retired from presidential politics many years ago,' the spokesman said, who did not wish to be named. The video player is currently playing an ad. MSNBC wants people to ditch Twitter/X. One of their columnists is even urging people to take ‘collective action’ to get people to stop using the application. In the process, the writer takes multiple unfair shots at Elon Musk. It’s a good thing Musk bought Twitter. He brought free speech back to the social media site and the left will never forgive him for it. In a way, this is just like the ongoing tantrum the left is throwing about the U.S. Supreme Court. They are angry at Twitter/X because they no longer control it.

The retailer known as Big Lots is preparing to file for bankruptcy as other companies across the United States have recently done. Individuals with knowledge of the situation said the discount home goods store may file as early as Sunday, Bloomberg reported on Friday, noting the company is planning to sell its stores through a court-supervised process. [SNIP] Big Lots, which has around 1,400 stores and employs over 30,000 people, has suffered from declining sales for years, including in recent quarters as rising inflation squeezed the wallets of its budget-conscious shoppers. Its share price has plunged to around $0.50, after peaking above $72 in 2021.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz can’t avoid the debates without looking like they’re deliberately avoiding them – which means Kamala will be there Tuesday – but they can avoid being asked any serious questions, and they will. You’d think that would be political suicide, and it certainly won’t help them in the election. Still, the old saying about being silent and leaving people to think you might be an idiot or opening your mouth and confirming their suspicions is doubly true with this ticket. The heavy lifting the Democratic Party media did in 2020 was unprecedented, but it’s also nothing compared to what will be needed this year.

Steven Crowder published some undercover video Thursday which renews some old doubts about what really motivated Alvin Bragg's case against Donald Trump. As you probably remember, Bragg used some creative legal work to turn a bunch of misdemeanor infractions involving business records into a host of felony charges. Now the DOJ Chief of Public Affairs for the southern district of New York, Nicholas Biase, is on video saying the whole case was "nonsense." Kudos to Crowder for getting the video but also for saying right out of the gate that Biase is not the bad guy here. What we're getting is an unbiased take
