The Associated Press deleted a tweet Thursday aimed at Ohio Republican Sen. J.D. Vance after fact checkers called them out for misrepresenting his comment on school shootings.
The tweet linked to an article about Vance, implying that he’d called school shootings a “fact of life” shortly after a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia on Wednesday. The AP replaced the story roughly 90 minutes with correct context, that Vance said he “laments that school shootings are a ‘fact of life’ and says the U.S. needs to harden security to prevent more carnage” like the attack in Georgia.

ADL further recorded a total of 400 antisemitic incidents on college and university campuses, compared to only 33 incidents during the same period in 2022. Ugly incidents of U.S. campus antisemitism persisted throughout the spring 2024 semester year.
Routine empirical, if taboo, observation clearly indicates that often, the most vociferous and violent U.S. student campus antisemites share a common Islamic/Muslim religio-ethnic identity. A courageous, expansive Brandeis University study was just published addressing the potential validity of this anecdotal observation by analyzing U.S. undergraduate college student religious affiliation as a critical, independent factor animating their Jew-hatred.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has reportedly said it rejects money from lobbyists, but a Daily Caller News Foundation review of campaign finance records casts doubt on this claim.
Dozens of lobbyists have contributed to Harris’ campaign since the vice president took over President Joe Biden’s reelection operation on July 21, an analysis of Federal Election Commission (FEC) records shows. The deluge of lobbyist cash came after The New York Times and Politico reported that Harris was continuing Biden’s policy of not accepting direct contributions from individual lobbyists.

While transgender orthodoxy seems rooted ever deeper in American education, entertainment, and society, the LGBTQ lobby’s stranglehold over big business is finally loosening. A key organization that uses mafia-like tactics to pressure companies to toe the line on gender ideology has faced setbacks.
Molson Coors Beverage Co., the company that produces Coors Light beer, announced to employees Tuesday that it will no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign’s corporate equality index.
Robby Starbuck, a former music video director who exposes and combats the Left’s diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, revealed Molson Coors’ announcement on X.

Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov is promising stepped-up efforts to fight criminality on the messaging app, his first public comments since French authorities handed him preliminary charges for allegedly allowing the platform’s use for criminal activity.
In a Telegram post, Durov defended himself against the French judicial investigation, suggesting that he personally shouldn’t have been targeted.
“Using laws from the pre-smartphone era to charge a CEO with crimes committed by third parties on the platform he manages is a misguided approach,” the post said. “Building technology is hard enough as it is.

In a recent and now widely seen Tucker Carlson interview, a guest historian named Darryl Cooper casually presented a surprising number of flawed theories about World War II. He focused his misstatements on the respective roles of Winston Churchill’s Britain and Adolf Hitler’s Germany—especially in matters of the treatment and fate of Russian prisoners, the Holocaust, the systematic slaughtering of Jews, strategic bombing, and the nature of Winston Churchill. Because of the size of the audience Carlson introduced him to, and because of the gravity of Cooper’s falsehoods, his assertions deserve a response.

Lawyers are expected to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of former President Trump in federal court in Washington, D.C., Thursday related to charges from special counsel Jack Smith’s new indictment after the Supreme Court ruled a president is immune from prosecution for official acts in office.
Trump will not appear in court Thursday, but his lawyers are expected to enter a not guilty plea during the status hearing before U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan.
According to a court filing obtained by Fox News, Trump signed an entry of not guilty plea. In the document, filed on Tuesday, Trump also waived his right to be present at his arraignment.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has backed off from its demand that microphones be unmuted for the duration of Democratic nominee’s upcoming debate against former President Donald Trump.
“Candidates’ microphones will be live only for the candidate whose turn it is to speak and muted when the time belongs to another candidate,” read the debate rules released by ABC News on Wednesday.
The Sep. 10 showdown in Philadelphia had been agreed to by both campaigns in early August, but the Harris team launched a last-minute bid to change the debate rules over fears that having microphones muted for parts of the 90-minute event would be favorable for Trump.

Economist Eric Weinstein says he doesn’t know if Trump “will be allowed” to become president, says the goal of the World Order is to have two candidates who are both acceptable to them. “Democracy was the illusion of choice…” “You had two candidates that were both acceptable to the international order… We called that democracy. And so, democracy was the illusion of choice. That’s called magician’s choice.” “Magician’s choice in the primaries, and then you’d have the duopoly field, two candidates, either of which was acceptable, and you could actually afford to hold an election and the populace would vote.” “Donald Trump broke through the primary structure.”

The dividing lines between Republicans and Democrats are now more like ever-widening chasms. We can barely see each other from our entrenched positions.
There is a lot of talk in mainstream media and among Democrats about a fundamental shift in the Republican party because of Donald Trump's influence. The only thing that's changing in the GOP is the way the party goes about the business of politics. Trump has energized the people who long ago grew tired of losing to Democrats because the Bush Republicans were more interested in angling for Fox News jobs than in winning elections.

For all their pious claims to being the standard-bearers and guardians of national security since President Trump was elected in 2016, Democrats sure do have a lot of operatives getting picked up as spies for China.
The latest came out of the woodwork from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul's office.
According to the Associated Press:
A former New York state government official who worked for former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and current Gov. Kathy Hochul was charged Tuesday with acting as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese government, federal prosecutors revealed in a sprawling indictment.

As fate would have it, the 79th anniversary of the formal Japanese surrender in World War II came on the same day that Joe Biden all but encouraged Hamas to keep fighting and holding hostages in Gaza.
The contrast suggests that had Biden been president back then instead of Harry Truman, America would have lost the Second World War.
Truman boldly led the free world to total victory, while Biden is an appeaser from head to toe.
He is a modern incarnation of Neville Chamberlain, the British prime minister so desperate for peace that he convinced himself Adolf Hitler wanted the same thing.
