In a recent and now widely seen Tucker Carlson interview, a guest historian named Darryl Cooper casually presented a surprising number of flawed theories about World War II. He focused his misstatements on the respective roles of Winston Churchill’s Britain and Adolf Hitler’s Germany—especially in matters of the treatment and fate of Russian prisoners, the Holocaust, the systematic slaughtering of Jews, strategic bombing, and the nature of Winston Churchill. Because of the size of the audience Carlson introduced him to, and because of the gravity of Cooper’s falsehoods, his assertions deserve a response.

Lawyers are expected to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of former President Trump in federal court in Washington, D.C., Thursday related to charges from special counsel Jack Smith’s new indictment after the Supreme Court ruled a president is immune from prosecution for official acts in office.
Trump will not appear in court Thursday, but his lawyers are expected to enter a not guilty plea during the status hearing before U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan.
According to a court filing obtained by Fox News, Trump signed an entry of not guilty plea. In the document, filed on Tuesday, Trump also waived his right to be present at his arraignment.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has backed off from its demand that microphones be unmuted for the duration of Democratic nominee’s upcoming debate against former President Donald Trump.
“Candidates’ microphones will be live only for the candidate whose turn it is to speak and muted when the time belongs to another candidate,” read the debate rules released by ABC News on Wednesday.
The Sep. 10 showdown in Philadelphia had been agreed to by both campaigns in early August, but the Harris team launched a last-minute bid to change the debate rules over fears that having microphones muted for parts of the 90-minute event would be favorable for Trump.

Economist Eric Weinstein says he doesn’t know if Trump “will be allowed” to become president, says the goal of the World Order is to have two candidates who are both acceptable to them. “Democracy was the illusion of choice…” “You had two candidates that were both acceptable to the international order… We called that democracy. And so, democracy was the illusion of choice. That’s called magician’s choice.” “Magician’s choice in the primaries, and then you’d have the duopoly field, two candidates, either of which was acceptable, and you could actually afford to hold an election and the populace would vote.” “Donald Trump broke through the primary structure.”

The dividing lines between Republicans and Democrats are now more like ever-widening chasms. We can barely see each other from our entrenched positions.
There is a lot of talk in mainstream media and among Democrats about a fundamental shift in the Republican party because of Donald Trump's influence. The only thing that's changing in the GOP is the way the party goes about the business of politics. Trump has energized the people who long ago grew tired of losing to Democrats because the Bush Republicans were more interested in angling for Fox News jobs than in winning elections.

For all their pious claims to being the standard-bearers and guardians of national security since President Trump was elected in 2016, Democrats sure do have a lot of operatives getting picked up as spies for China.
The latest came out of the woodwork from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul's office.
According to the Associated Press:
A former New York state government official who worked for former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and current Gov. Kathy Hochul was charged Tuesday with acting as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese government, federal prosecutors revealed in a sprawling indictment.

As fate would have it, the 79th anniversary of the formal Japanese surrender in World War II came on the same day that Joe Biden all but encouraged Hamas to keep fighting and holding hostages in Gaza.
The contrast suggests that had Biden been president back then instead of Harry Truman, America would have lost the Second World War.
Truman boldly led the free world to total victory, while Biden is an appeaser from head to toe.
He is a modern incarnation of Neville Chamberlain, the British prime minister so desperate for peace that he convinced himself Adolf Hitler wanted the same thing.

When Denver designated itself as a sanctuary city for migrants, it likely didn’t anticipate that its hospitality would result in a Venezuelan prison gang setting up shop in one of its suburbs. The Denver City government’s choice to tolerate and encourage open borders migration has enabled the violent Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela to make Aurora, Colorado a base of its operations. Now the gang has taken over apartment complexes and unleashed a growing wave of violent crime.

Former New York Congressman George Santos is adding fuel to the controversy stemming from accusations of corruption among Republican Party officials in Suffolk County, New York. In July, Suffolk County GOP legislators, without public notice or warning, suddenly awarded a legal notices contract worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to a competing newspaper owned by a fellow Republican official. According to the Suffolk Reporter, former Congressman Santos called Suffolk County Republican Chairman Jesus “Jesse” Garcia a “corrupt chairman who uses his position to gain power and influence over people.”
Santos told the Suffolk Reporter that Garcia pressured candidates like him by encouraging him -

The billionaire who founded the censorious LinkedIn platform is shocked, shocked to learn that his money is being used to gamble at Ricks. His surprise came during an interview on the excellent Silicon Valley-based "All-In Podcast," which is hosted by four wealthy tech founders. Reid Hoffman was the pod's guest over the weekend.
The Michael Moore lookalike bankrolls American Future Republic, whose main purpose appears to be to Get Trump. After Trump's announcement in 2022 that he would stand for reelection, Hoffman brought back from the legal graveyard the E.J. Carroll case by accusing Trump of defamation.

The Democrat party’s craving for power is insatiable so nothing is ever enough.
How else can you explain their infatuation with open borders with quick paths to citizenship, undermining the electoral process with mail-in voting or schemes to re-write the Constitution?
Consider the party’s 2024 party platform. The section “Making Higher Education Accessible and Affordable” advances two aims central to the party’s very existence: promoting political indoctrination and rewarding one of the party’s most crucial allies, college professors.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in an interview published Monday said he believes Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will be remembered “poorly,” while noting he could save some of his reputation by getting “the old Republican Party back.”
Schumer told Punchbowl News he has recently been “more friendly” with McConnell in light of the Republican’s efforts to shore up GOP votes for bipartisan legislation under President Biden, including the most recent aid package for Ukraine. This, however, may not have been enough to change McConnell’s legacy, Schumer added.
