On Thursday, former President Donald Trump generated a firestorm of controversy in pro-life political circles.[Snip]In response, Trump stated, “I think the six-week is too short. There has to be more time.” Many interpreted his comments to mean he would vote in favor of Amendment 4.[Snip]Lately, many pro-lifers have been frustrated with Trump because he has offered them precious little in terms of commitments on abortion policy.[Snip]By simply raising concerns about the full implications of Amendment 4, Trump could win back the support of some skeptical pro-life voters. More importantly, he would be performing a valuable service for pro-lifers in Florida and across the country.

Is Kamala Harris having second thoughts about picking Tim Walz as her running mate? If she isn't, she probably should be.
A new poll out of Pennsylvania is shedding some light on just how much of an own-goal that was. Before getting there, though, the topline is really good news for Donald Trump, showing him tied in the head-to-head and leading in the five-way matchup (which is more relevant). It appears Harris' momentum has been completely halted, with no perceivable bounce from the DNC. Bob Casey, the Democrat senator up for re-election in Pennsylvania, only being up two points is also a huge result for Republicans.

Maybe President Joe Biden was never a serious member of the Washington, DC, establishment — like the Clintons, the Bushes, or the Obamas — or, maybe, the establishment just had no more use for him.
Either way, the knives seem to be out for the Biden family after Joe Biden stepped aside from the 2024 presidential election. In three leaks in the last month, members of the permanent political class in Washington disclosed damaging information about the Biden family.
One: Hunter Biden accepted $3,101,258 from Romanian partner Gabriel Popoviciu to “influence U.S. government agencies” when Joe Biden served as vice president, Special Counsel David Weiss said in a court filing.

Military personnel were reportedly deployed to guard the Wolcott Hotel in Manhattan at the request of state officials.
On Tuesday, citizen journalist Jason Goodman, founder of Crowdsource the Truth, captured footage of military stationed outside The Wolcott Hotel.
The Wolcott Hotel, located on West 31st Street in New York City, has recently been converted into a mega-shelter for migrants.
This transformation was confirmed by a report from the New York Post, which revealed that the hotel, once a bustling hub for tourists, has indefinitely closed its doors to regular guests back in 2023 due to the ongoing migrant crisis

A federal appeals court rejected an appeal by pro-transgender advocates, allowing Alabama to keep protecting children and youths from transgender advocates.
The good news was matched by other events in Texas, Virginia, and Missouri where judges and university officials rejected demands from transgender advocates seeking to minimize the public’s recognition of the two male and female sexes.
The United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals released a divided 173-page decision in which ten out of 11 judges took part, according to the Alabama Reflector.

Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday skewered former President Donald Trump for filming at the Arlington National Cemetery, accusing him of exploiting his visit for political purposes, which is prohibited. (Snip) A half-hour later, Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, fired back at Harris in his own social media post: “President trump was there at the invitation of families whose loved ones died because of your incompetence.” “Why don’t you get off social media and go launch an investigation into their unnecessary deaths?” Vance added. The Trump campaign echoed that line of defense in its own social media post

It doesn't take an expert to know that Kamala Harris was out of her element during the softball interview with CNN. She's been avoiding interviews and press conferences for weeks, and despite finally agreeing to an interview with a friendly network conducted by a friendly host, she still needed her male running mate to accompany her.
But it should come as no surprise that a body language expert who analyzed Kamala's performance during the interview told Fox News Digital that Harris lacked both confidence and a presidential demeanor.
According to Susan Constantine, Harris frequently looked down during the CNN interview, which suggested that she was “not confident in what she’s saying.”

AURORA, Colo. — The national attention on the presence of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) in Colorado could harm immigrants who are not associated with the gang, according to activists. Videos of people alleging Venezuelan gang members are "taking over" Aurora have circulated on social media, particularly claims about an apartment complex the city is closing near Colfax and Peoria. One video depicts several males, who appear to be armed, attempting to break into an apartment unit at an unidentified complex. Neither the city nor the Aurora Police Department has confirmed those claims. Activists told Denver7 the headlines are

Florida executed Loran Cole on Thursday in the 1994 murder of an 18-year-old college student whose big sister was raped during what started as a fun camping weekend and became a family's worst nightmare.
Cole, 57, was executed by lethal injection and pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m. at the Florida State Prison in Raiford, about 40 miles southwest of Jacksonville. It marked Florida's first execution of the year and the 13th in the nation.
Cole was convicted in the 1994 murder of Florida State University student John Edwards and the sexual assault of his older sister in the Ocala National Forest, about 70 miles northwest of Orlando.

This looks slightly more serious as an instance of political dishonesty than the Case of the Missing Big Mac, but maybe not by much. Apparently, a story told by Tim Walz about the George Bush campaign provoking him into a career in electoral politics has some serious holes in it. But is it far enough off from the truth to matter these days?
If a Democrat's origin story falls in the forest, will the media report it even if people are around to hear it?
Earlier this afternoon, investigative reporter Gabe Kaminsky dug into a tale told by Walz that claimed he had only chosen a career in politics

San Francisco 49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall was shot during a robbery incident in the city's Union Square, according to police.
Pearsall is now in stable condition and a suspect is in custody, District 3 Supervisor Aaron Peskin told the local NBC affiliate.
The first-year receiver was reportedly targeted over his Rolex watch. There are also unconfirmed claims that Pearsall was at an autograph signing at or around the time the shooting took place. The 23-year-old Arizona native is one week away from his first NFL game against the New York Jets on September 9, although his status for that contest was already clouded by a shoulder injury.
