Secret Service top brass encouraged agents not to request additional security for Donald Trump’s Butler, Pa. rally last month where a would-be assassin nearly killed the former president, according to a whistleblower.
The whistleblower allegations were revealed in a Friday letter from Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) to Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe, in which the lawmaker demanded answers to Rowe’s “apparent contradiction” that no security assets were denied for the event.
“You must explain this apparent contradiction immediately,” the senator wrote.
The whistleblower claimed that the officials at Secret Service headquarters told agents in charge of the Butler campaign event

Hunter Biden’s celebrity attorney lashed out that federal prosecutors are trying to “slime” the first son — by trying to introduce evidence that Hunter splurged on strippers and pornography at his upcoming tax trial in Los Angeles.
Mark Geragos argued during a hearing in a Los Angeles federal courtroom that special counsel David Weiss’s effort to introduce evidence of Hunter’s seedy spending while avoiding paying $1.4 million in taxes is nothing more than “character assassination” and shouldn’t be allowed.
“They want to slime him because that is the whole purpose,” Geragos told federal Judge Mark Scarsi.
“It’s actually a form of character assassination,"

Two astronauts stranded at the International Space Station after their Boeing spacecraft malfunctioned could be there much longer than anticipated because of an incompatibility with their spacesuits.
NASA told Fox News Digital their Boeing spacesuits are made to work with the company’s spacecraft, while SpaceX’s spacesuits are made to work with its own Dragon vessel, which NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams may ride in on their descent back to Earth.
The two astronauts arrived in the Starliner vehicle June 5 and were only supposed to stay until the middle of the month.
Authorities have been discussing how to safely return them home after discovering helium leaks and propulsion problems.

Actor and comedian Rob Schneider, who endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. earlier this year, has now thrown his support behind Donald Trump. The announcement comes ahead of Kennedy's planned press conference on Friday afternoon, in which he is widely expected to drop out of the race and potentially endorse Trump himself.
In this endorsement, which he posted to X, Schneider addressed fellow supporters of Robert Kennedy Jr. and American citizens, criticizing the Democratic Party for running on hatred of Donald Trump rather than on policies that improve Americans’ lives.
And they are hoping that YOU will HATE him so much

It's not working anymore. The old slogans just aren't cutting it. The protesters are grayer; the signs are all professionally done now, with few obscenities. What's on them has been tested in focus groups and carefully manufactured for maximum impact — not to move people but to catch the all-seeing, voracious eye of the camera.
The protesters are props now. The business of protests takes place off camera, with activists pleading, begging, threatening, and lying to get the attention of news media. In the case of the DNC anti-Israel/pro-Hamas protests, the hype started early. In the weeks leading up to the convention,

If you watched Kamala's speech Thursday night, my condolences. That's a long time to listen to her voice and her lies.
Still, there was a moment that was almost amusing, though mostly just painfully lacking in self-awareness.
Though her speech was missing a lot on policy, she tried to reinvent herself and tout her record in various offices, which gave us this little line:
"I stood up," she claimed, "For veterans and students being scammed by big for-profit colleges. For workers who were being cheated out of the wages they were due. For seniors facing elder abuse." [Emphasis added] [Video]
That's ironic," observed the Trump War Room account on X/Twitter.

CNN’s Scott Jennings poured cold water on the outlet’s DNC panel, reminding them of the harsh reality Democrats must contend with.
As the left is riding the high of their convention, it’s clear that they are desperate to maintain this momentum until November. A quick reality check exposes why they need smoke and mirrors to make Vice President Kamala Harris look appealing.

“She’s in the White House right now. Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years, and for all the talk about division and the problems with the country and people are hurting, Democrats have mostly controlled this country.

The Atlantic Ocean is now cooling at a record speed, leading climate alarmists absolutely baffled.
While temperatures in the ocean were recently reaching record highs, that trend has gone into reverse over the past year, confusing scientists and those warning about an impending global catastrophe.
The New Scientist explains:
Over the past three months, the shift from hot to cool temperatures in the equatorial Atlantic Ocean has happened at record speed. This emerging “Atlantic Niña” pattern comes just ahead of an expected transition to a cooler La Niña in the Pacific Ocean, and these back-to-back events could have ripple effects on weather worldwide.

It's been a bit of an eventful day for and in the State of Arizona Thursday. While the DNC is wrapping in Chicago, former President Donald Trump is touring the Southern border in Cochise County, Arizona. Just ahead of his press conference there, the U.S. Supreme Court issued an order staying a lower court ruling and allowing the Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote to go into effect. And on top of that, there's an active manhunt going on for an individual who threatened to assassinate Trump while in Arizona.
Despite the manhunt, Trump proceeded with the event,

There's breaking news on the story of the Arizona man who allegedly said he sought to kill former President Donald Trump at the U.S.- Mexico border, after a frantic manhunt ensued while the Republican nominee visited Cochise County Thursday.
A manhunt is underway in Arizona, where Cochise County officials are looking for Ronald Lee Syrvud, a 66-year-old man who has threatened to kill a presidential candidate. It's being reported that the candidate is Donald Trump, and that Syrvud intended to attempt to assassinate Trump today during an appearance in Cochise County.
As my colleague Jennifer Van Laar noted in her piece, Trump was speaking with county law enforcement officials

Oddly enough, there’s really only one thing both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump agree on: Joe Biden has been a disaster as President of the United States. Both Harris and Trump promise to undo much of what Biden has done, which is a good thing. But it’s a little bit weird that one of those candidates helped implement those policies in the first place. It’s going to be interesting to see how Kamala distances herself from, well, herself and Joe Biden.
What should they undo? Well, all of it, honestly. Joe Biden’s 4 years in the White House should be wiped clean from the history books.

The news that third party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may endorse former President Donald Trump Friday -- when he plans to drop out of the 2024 race for the White House -- is not going over well in Democratic circles.
According to Kennedy's vice presidential running mate Nicole Shanahan, Democrats are panicking over the potential move.
"My old Dem buddies have been flooding me with frantic calls, texts, and emails. Unlike Ro, I wouldn’t dream of airing those private conversations publicly, but the message is clear: they’re terrified of the idea of our movement joining forces with Donald Trump.
