President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that Joe Biden will attempt to reclaim the Democratic nomination after it was “stolen” by Kamala Harris.
This comment comes in light of recent announcements confirming Harris’s position as the Democrat presidential nominee, following a controversial series of events leading to Biden’s abrupt withdrawal from the 2024 race.
Last week, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison announced that Harris has amassed enough delegates to secure her place at the top of the ticket, with final results expected to be confirmed on Monday.
Despite never winning a primary election, Harris has now found herself positioned as the official Democrat nominee.

Am I the only one who thinks this is stupid talk and a waste of precious time? There are major issues that need to be dissected and discussed . We are with Trump but there are others who are hanging around the edges. This just looks silly. I want Trump/Vance to win. I don't see how this moves that ball forward. If you have a different opinion I would love to hear it.

Trump likes to heckle. Doubt this is a winning strategy. Are there enough people out there to vote for Harris and Walz? Yes, yes there is. That's a major problem.

No, #1, you are not the only one to think such talk is a waste of time. The Democrats have presented Trump with lots of goodies on a silver platter. Time is short. It is time to address the horror of Kamala Harris issue by issue. Stop the race talk. Stop talking about the stolen election. Stop dissing Republican governors who have endorsed him, as Trump recently did to Governor Kemp. The media will not expose Harris so Trump has to do so. Time is short. No time for foolishness.

The Dems have effectively made the convention an afterthought. Kammy already collected the delegates and picked her comrade-in-arms. Joe-Pop is too beaten down to stage a comeback.

One other thing, although not specifically about this story. I've been watching Fox News and there is a promo about President Trump appearing tomorrow on the early morning show, Fox and Friends. During the past couple of weeks Trump has been interviewed on Hannity's show, Laura Ingraham's show and Jesse Watters's show. I would guess that the vast majority of those programs' viewers are committed Trump voters. Why is he preaching to the choir? His appearance tomorrow on Fox and Friends will not move the electoral needle one millimeter in his favor. Trump's base doesn't have the numbers to swing an election. He needs to reach out to those who can be persuaded. Fox News is a waste of time for him.

President Trump is a world-class ball breaker. He knows how to get under the skin of the humorless leftists like no one else can.

I believe the only reason that Biden, and especially Doctor Jill, are keeping their mouths shut is that they have been promised a huge pile of money, much more than Joe's standard ten percent, to drop out and disappear. It was not a coup, it was a buyout. If the democrats had any brains they would cancel this convention because it will bring nothing but violence and turmoil, but it they had any brains they would not be democrats.

I am forced to agree that some of PDJT's pronouncements are unproductive, if not counter-productive. The reason is: to so many Lo-Fo voters and Yellow Dog Democrats, there is the perception---and with some justification---that his personality can be off-putting, abrasive or petty. It just seems to me that it is unwise to feed those feelings. This election should not be about personality! Stick to the issues, which, given the dumpster fire of the Vegetable's calamitous term of misrule, should be a winning strategy.

#1 and #8, I understand the points you are making but there is something that I constantly do with Donald Trump. I try to put myself in his shoes. For the four years during his presidency, all we heard about was Russian collusion and more impeachments. Yawn. Then, a couple of years later he decides to run for President of the USA again. Nothing but court trials and then an assassination attempt which I believe the Biden-Harris administration knew. Now, they decide to do a switcheroo and we have Harris-Walz. The Democrats thought Donald Trump was going to be another Hitler.
Put yourself in his shoes and see how patient you would be. . .

I completely left off one other point I was going to make. Who is going to be criticized next? JD Vance? Is he going to be criticized for his single, cat lady comment? The Democrats/liberals became so offended at his comment but I will tell you what came to mind when he made that comment. No, it wasn't the single ladies who live with their loyal cats kind of thing. What came to mind for me was the demonstrations that were taking place after the Supreme Court's decision with Roe vs Wade. There were vulgar demonstrations with women and their cat hats, if you know what I mean. They were classless and disgusting. What's new?

Some people on this site are either never-Trumpers, straight up Dems, or they clearly don't understand Trump.
Trump likes to throw confusion bombs into the other camp to cause strife and divide. It's all legal in war and politics. Even if it's not true, it makes the left come out and defend or deny. Can you think of a few cases of that lately from the DNC onto Trump or Vance?

#1 by way of answer i think your invitation to a discussion of whether Trump is choosing distracting topics, is more of a distracton of the kind you deprecate, than Trump's was. Trump posts 50 things a day and if this one became a headline, people are interested. If you want to focus on the economy, comment on that. Since you asked.

Here it is...poster #1...any maneuvering by the two factions in the White House is heating up...because they need leverage....pulling ole Joe out of moth balls is crooked Hillary's only game plan...she's fighting obama with everything she has...and biden is her only hope of an open convention were she thinks she has a chance....she'll take VP on an open ticket...and then finish the president...suicide Hillary WE call her...

The democrats can not afford any more confusion or controversy, it might make their voters think twice about what they are doing to the people. Anything that Donald Trump can do to feed that fire is fine with me. First of all, it gets the hysterical media out there screaming about lies and threats to democracy. Then it forces the candidates to answer questions which they usually choose not to answer because the truth makes them uncomfortable. There is still a big mystery about why Joe suddenly dropped out and Jill is not out there screaming or explaining. Some people may not like Trump's style but that style gets him 100,000 plus attendance at his rallies so I would say it's working for him.

People who think that a winning strategy is to post 50 comments a day on Truth Social, keeping the base entertained with personal attacks and farfetched rumors, know nothing about politics beyond the counterproductive bubble in which they live, likely also populated by sabotaging trolls who egg on the candidate with feigned approval.

I would not presume to tell Trump how to win, even if I had a clue. But if Trump never mentioned Kamala or the name Biden ever again, he could still win and delay the death that eats at our country's heart that could eventually deliver the fatal blow. It'd be more the WWII movie, "Playing for Time," than like the "Sound of Music," without the lovely voices and story arch.
