Vice President Kamala Harris, now running for the Democrat nomination for president, was once a top champion for allowing illegal aliens to become licensed attorneys in the sanctuary state of California. In 2014, the California Supreme Court ruled in a unanimous decision to admit illegal alien Sergio Garcia of Mexico to the State Bar thus allowing him to become a licensed attorney in the state. Harris was at the time the attorney general of California and served as the top advocate for allowing Garcia to become a licensed attorney — opening the door for thousands of illegal aliens across the state to become licensed attorneys.

This week, a large Zoom event called ‘Blacks Against Harris’ took place and was attended by thousands of people, but the media ignored it. Apparently, ‘White Dudes for Harris’ and ‘White Women for Harris’ are fine, but ‘Blacks Against Harris’ is unacceptable.
Why do you suppose that is? If Democrats and their media allies want to live in this divisive world of identity politics, they should not be allowed to pick and choose which groups deserve attention and praise.

It seems like I’m constantly trying to come to an understanding or at least a settled position on how God involves himself in human affairs. The Trump shooting brought that to the surface again, simply because it couldn’t be scripted -- it felt beyond consequence. Also, many people of faith, including people that I see as nuanced and intelligent began claiming that it was almost beyond question, an act of God (Ben Shapiro, for instance).
I’ve been all over the board over the years from “there’s no understanding God’s involvement” to determinism (more early in my Christian life), to compatibility, meaning that paradoxically God’s sovereignty and free will aren’t mutually exclusive.

Chevron Taking Its Headquarters To Texas

U.S. oil and gas giant Chevron announced Friday it will relocate its corporate headquarters from its long-time location in San Ramon, California to Houston, Texas in the coming months.
In a release, the company said chairman and CEO Mike Wirth and vice-chairman Mark Nelson will relocate to Houston by the end of this year, with remaining headquarters employees to make a gradual migration over the next five years. Employees who support the company’s remaining California operations will remain in San Ramon. Currently, Chevron has 2,000 employees in California, and 7,000 in various Texas locations.
Friday’s announcement seems symbolic of the diminishing presence of both Chevron and the oil industry itself in California.
