A chilling letter this week from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is a reminder that Americans cannot forget about the importance of the judiciary in upholding free speech and our other constitutional freedoms.
On Tuesday – ironically, the day Michiganders went to the primary polls to participate in our constitutional right to vote – Nessel issued a “cease-and-desist letter” against a citizen whom the letter claimed was violating a state law against “misleading or false information” about “polling locations.” The recipient of the letter, Kerry Lynn Elieff, was threatened with “criminal prosecutions” if she did not follow the order.
What raises the biggest red flags is that Nessel’s letter doesn’t ever state

As Sarah wrote earlier this evening, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s military service has been called into question after he was straight-up busted for embellishing his record. The phrase “stolen valor” has been tossed around, especially since it’s been revealed that Walz told Business Insider that he deployed to Iraq. In reality, he fled, abandoning his National Guard unit before it deployed to Iraq.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) is quickly finding his footing as a top messenger for former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.
Vance received high marks for his solo press conference in Detroit and remarks to reporters as he approached Vice President Kamala Harris’s plane at the airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
“Extremely solid extemporaneous political IQ here,” Republican strategist Josh Holmes, a former adviser to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), wrote on the social media website X. “Vance has barrel of the bat swings going here.”

Have you heard about Tim Walz’s folksiness?
Surely you’ve noticed the “folksy demeanor” and “folksy manner” and “folksy appeal” and “folksy mannerisms” of this “folksy former soldier?” If you somehow missed it, the “folksy governor of Minnesota” exudes a “folksy … informal vibe” and “folksy relatability.” But don’t forget his “folksy rebukes” and “folksy plain-spoken and sharp-tongued approach,” either. Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick is a dedicated cultural and economic leftist who happens to inhabit the body of an average middle-aged bowling team drinking buddy.

It’s the Trump policy agenda, stupid. That’s how to beat Vice President Kamala Harris — with policy arguments, not gratuitous personal attacks.
Over 90% of voters have made up their minds. The 2024 presidential election will be determined in a handful of battleground states by a few hundred thousand votes, and Ms. Harris’ best chance of winning will be to consolidate Democratic women, successfully woo independent women and peel off a fraction of Republican women.
Republican politicians, TV commentators and radio talk show hosts who play the Willie Brown card ridicule the Harris cackle or demean Ms. Harris as a diversity, equity and inclusion hire, which will only advance her strategy.

CNBC’s "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer told viewers on Monday that if they care about the money in their pocket, they should support former President Trump. "If you’re in the stock market, if you care about your paycheck, you go with Trump," Cramer said. "That’s what you do."
"You do?," fellow CNBC host David H. Faber asked.
"Yeah, well, he wants to cut your taxes," Cramer responded, while Faber grumbled about Trump's SALT tax cap affecting blue states.

After a tumultuous and nearly life-ending July, Donald Trump narrowly retains his lead in the polls. Business leaders would be wise to prepare for a second Trump administration.
As someone detailed to serve in the White House during my time in the Marine Corps, I know firsthand what national security policy means to President Trump. The 2017 National Security Strategy, Trump’s first-term policies, and his words in and out of office are the best indicators of what a second Trump administration agenda would entail. This amounts to a more expansive view of national security, one that stresses U.S. economic and technological primacy. Great power competition with China would dominate.

Kamala Harris’ slogan in her disastrous 2019 presidential bid was “For the People.”
Her rapid, ruthless installation as the Democrats’ presidential nominee shows that slogan no longer captures what she or her party are about.
Harris’ Democrats are America’s elite party, pure and simple. And like elites everywhere, they will fight without quarter to maintain the power and privilege they have spent a lifetime to acquire — as President Biden just learned to his detriment.

Sen. JD Vance fired back at a CNN reporter who asked him whether former President Trump's comments about Kamala Harris' race were concerning to him as a "father of three biracial children." Vance visited the U.S. southern border on Thursday where he attacked Harris' record as the border czar during a press conference in Cochise County, Arizona. At one point on the trip, CNN correspondent Steve Contorno asked the vice presidential contender about Trump's comment a day earlier, when he told a crowd at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention that Harris "became a Black person," after years of identifying as Indian.

On Monday, President Biden proposed two reforms to the Supreme Court—term limits for justices and a binding ethics code—along with a constitutional amendment to its recent presidential-immunity decision. Making his case in a Washington Post op-ed, the president claimed broad support and specifically thanked “the bipartisan Presidential Commission on the [SCOTUS] for its insightful analysis, which informed some of these proposals.”
But there’s a problem with Biden trying to use the commission to give his proposals legitimacy. Adam White, who served as a member of that commission, tells The Free Press that “nothing in our report actually recommended anything” that the president is now proposing.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., is seeking to raise the equivalent of a gold medal for an Olympic athlete who was defeated by an opponent who previously failed gender eligibility tests. Italian boxer Angela Carini competed in the 66-kilogram women’s division Olympic boxing match Thursday, but abandoned the fight just 45 seconds in after getting hit by her opponent, who was deemed to have male chromosomes.
Carini left the match against Algerian boxer Imane Khelif in tears, saying later: "I didn't give up, but one punch hurt too much, and so I said enough."
"Enough is enough," Boebert told Fox News

With the ascension of Saint Kamala, we are now watching the Mean Girl rebranding of the Democratic Party.
It has to be the biggest miscalculation in political history.
As polls show America’s young men are lurching rightward at a rapid pace, the Democratic brand has finally evolved into the party of scolding shrews, nagging Karens and “preachy females,” as Dem dinosaur James Carville calls them. Its image is tied to a type of unserious, self-involved, neurotic, dogmatic Dem-fem who insists on telling you her pronouns and whose highest goal is abortion on demand right up until the moment of birth.
