‘They Should Be Ashamed of Themselves’:

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had harsh words for anti-Israel protesters in his Wednesday address to a joint session of Congress, slamming the activists as “useful idiots” for Iran and other bad actors even as they congregated outside the Capitol. “Defeating our brutal enemies requires both courage and clarity,” he said. “Clarity begins by knowing the difference between good and evil. Yet, incredibly, many anti-Israel protesters choose to stand with evil. They stand with Hamas. They stand with rapists and murderers. They stand with people who come into the kibbutzim — into the home — with the parents and the children, the two babies in the secret attic, and murder

I'm still puzzled as to exactly why they are our "greatest ally". Seems kind of one sided to me. We fund their government and wars. We send them our military material. What do they do for us? Do they allow our bases in Israel? Do they have a natural resource we can use? About all they do is spy on American citizens and tell the feds when they hear something of interest. And wasn't Epstein Mossad? Nothing like a little blackmail to get political support. Of course, we do know they are God's chosen people because they said so. I know a lot of LDotters like them, but something about our national adoration for Israel doesn't pass the smell test.

# 3 In 1923 the Jews of Israel founded the Technion , their version of MIT. It's where they innovate , discover, and invent in technology, medicine, physics chemistry and agriculture for the benefit people everywhere. Their neighbors chant " death to Israel " and burn the Israeli flag. And at times they substitute America for Israel.

Can Kamala Harris improve her standing with voters? Or does she come into the competitive presidential race as high as she'll get? I've written about Harris' prospects several times over the last few weeks since the Dump Biden movement began, warning Democrats that Harris turned out to be poor at it in 2019, and then showed even less competence after becoming Vice President. Just to recall, here's her favorability chart from RCP. Harris is not starting from scratch, nor does she begin with much good will from the electorate: If history and starting points mean anything -- and sometimes they mean less than we expect -- then Democrats just

This is the summer of media discontent. Ever since the debate debacle, which exposed Joe Biden as the shell of a man the press had been shielding from public exposure, journalists have been struggling. Beyond failed attempts to extricate themselves from that culpability quagmire, there was the way they covered the Trump assassination attempt, dealing with the GOP convention, Biden’s COVID disappearance, the turmoil in the Democratic Party, and then the ultimate departure of President Silveralert from the ticket. This week, as they were eager to elevate Kamala Harris into the political stratosphere, we saw yet another attempt by the news outlets to set

As we’ve been reporting, FBI Director Chris Wray testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday, and as our Susie Moore wrote, he was more candid than usual (although that’s not saying much). There was one puzzling exchange he had with Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), however, that turned heads and earned a strong condemnation from Donald Trump. Despite the fact that eight shots ran out on July 13 during a Pennsylvania campaign rally, despite retired fire chief Corey Comperatore being killed by gunfire and two others injured, and despite the fact that the GOP nominee’s doctor who actually treated the wound described it as a gunshot injury, Wray wasn’t convinced.

Border Czar Kamala Harris had an opportunity Wednesday to reset the entire election. She had the ability to take her place as the president of the Senate and preside over a major address by a foreign leader to a joint session of Congress and look presidential to millions of voters trying to decide whether or not she's up to the job. As the antisemitic riots were taking place a block and a half from the Capitol, Border Czar Kamala Harris could have electrified the country by summoning up her own version of a Sister Souljah moment and denounce the violence, renounce the Jew hatred in her Democratic base,

De facto Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris said on Thursday she is "ready to debate" her Republican rival, former President Donald Trump. "I think that voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage, and so I'm ready," Harris told reporters on an airport tarmac outside Washington. "Let's go." Harris, the vice president, said she has agreed to face off with Trump on Sept. 10. ABC News had been scheduled to hold a debate on that date with Trump and President Joe Biden, who withdrew from the race on Sunday. "Now it appears he's backpedaling,"

New York prosecutors urged a Manhattan judge to uphold Donald Trump's criminal conviction, saying a recent Supreme Court decision has little bearing on a unanimous jury's decision finding the former president guilty of falsifying records. In a 69-page memo filed Wednesday and made public Thursday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and prosecutors from his office called Trump's effort "meritless," writing that the Supreme Court's decision "has no bearing on this prosecution and would not support [vacating] the jury's unanimous verdict."

California’s top state court on Thursday upheld a measure approved by voters allowing app-based services such as Uber and Lyft to consider drivers in the most populous state as independent contractors rather than as employees entitled to greater benefits. The ruling by the California Supreme Court is a major victory for the ride-hailing industry, which has said that many companies would end or limit service in the state if they were forced to treat thousands of drivers as their employees. The court dismissed a lawsuit by the Service Employees International Union and four drivers who say the 2020 ballot measure known as Proposition 22, which preserves drivers’ contractor status

Joe Biden gave a confused address at the White House on Wednesday evening that was supposed to address why he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race. Frank Bruni called Biden's action "utterly extraordinary." Economist Alex Tabarrok called Biden an "American Cincinnatus." The statements of Democratic politicians were similarly overflowing with tributes to Biden's selflessness. But
