During an interview with ABC News on Friday, President Joe Biden said that he realized he was doing poorly in last week’s presidential debate when he noticed that “even when I was answering a question, even though they turned his mic off,” his opponent, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump, “was still shouting. And I let it distract me.” Biden elaborated that he isn’t blaming that for his performance, but that caused him to realize “that I just wasn’t in control.”
ABC host George Stephanopoulos asked, “And how quickly did it come to you that you were having that bad night?”
Biden responded, “Well, it came to me

We got the first clue that something was very wrong when ABC News aired a clip of Joe Biden's interview with George Stephanopoulos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
The partisan Democrat interviewer asked Biden why his debate performance was so bad after six days of rest at Camp David. Biden threw out some prepared talking points: He'd been very sick. He was tested for COVID and "for infections." He clutched his heart when he said the last part. (None of this explained why a very sick Biden was sent to a diner after the debate to gladhand supporters.)

Shootings and other violence during the extended Fourth of July weekend have left at least 33 people dead, including 11 in Chicago, and injured dozens more nationwide, authorities said.
The Fourth of July historically is one of the nation’s deadliest days of the year. A flurry of shootings around the holiday a year ago left more than a dozen people dead and over 60 wounded. And a year before that, seven people died in a mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade near Chicago.
Violence and mass shootings often increase in the summer months, with more people gathering for social events, teens out of school and hotter temperatures.

Before discussing a potential Trump landslide, I want to summarize Biden’s debate performance. Below is an edited version of the lyrics to “One Night in Bangkok.”
One night in ’lanta makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in ’lanta and predictions crumble
Just one debate, and it’s a tragedy
The Dems are freaking, and it’s plain to see
Voters have had a look inside the Potemkin Presidency, and it is clear that many did not like what they saw. Most were shocked by Joe Biden’s performance and his apparent mental decline. Many were also angry at the White House staff and the news media

A bronzed Joe Biden made a bizarre claim about inventing a computer chip during his make-or-break interview Friday.
Biden, 81, would repeatedly respond to questions in a raspy, weary voice, often losing track mid-sentence and at times ignoring questions in an attempt to make occasionally outlandish claims about his record.
The president at one point told George Stephanopoulos that 'we used to have 40 percent of computer chips. We invented the chip, the little chip, the computer chip. It's in everything from cell phone to weapons.'

Longtime Democrats are expressing frustration and dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden as he faces mounting pressure to drop out of the 2024 race.
After Biden’s not-so-shocking debate performance, some Democrats are surprised to find that the 81-year-old’s cognitive health might not be up as up to par as they thought.
A Los Angeles Times report pointed out that even in the “most Biden-loving” parts of the Democrat state, people are concerned that the president doesn’t have what it takes to win the election against former President Donald Trump.
Many residents of the liberal city told the outlet that after watching the debate, the country would be in trouble if Biden

During an interview with ABC News on Friday, President Joe Biden said that he hasn’t had a specific cognitive evaluation because “No one said I had to” and “they said I’m good.” And refused to take an independent cognitive evaluation because “I’ve already done it” because “I have a cognitive test every single day.”
ABC host George Stephanopoulos asked, “Have you had a full neurological and cognitive evaluation?” Biden answered, “I’ve had — I get a full neurological test every day, with me. And I’ve had a full physical. I had — you know what I mean — I’ve been in Walter Reed for my physicals. I mean, yes.

Joe Biden did his much talked about interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News tonight and it was a worst case scenario for Democrats.
While Biden did not make any flubs that would force him out of the race, he still came across as old, feeble and out of touch with the reality of the election, meaning that he is just as weak a candidate as he was yesterday and he is not dropping out. Democrats are stuck with him.
After the interview was over, Stephanopoulos went to his fellow ABC News pundits for comment.
The looks on their faces said it all. Look at this. They look like they’re at a funeral.

President Biden failed Friday to stem growing pessimism about his political future in a rambling 22-minute interview with ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos — during which many of the same issues that marred the Democrat’s debate performance last week resurfaced.
Biden, 81, gave multiple excuses for his shocking performance at the first presidential showdown against Donald Trump, saying that he was “exhausted” and “sick” with a “bad cold” before whining that he let Trump’s remarks “distract me” — and forgetting whether he had watched footage of his meltdown.

Joe Biden's big interview with George Stephanopoulos is out, and the big question circulating is whether it will be enough to quell the uprising within the Democratic Party.
Since his disastrous debate performance over a week ago, the president has been battling a deluge of leaks about his senility and a growing public campaign to have him leave the 2024 race. Since being helped off the stage in Georgia by his wife, Biden has done a few events, none of which should comfort any of his allies. In short, this interview is supposed to be a big turning point. Was it? What we saw in the pre-released clips didn't

On the surface, it is scandalous that Washington Democrats, and the Democratic press corps, knew for years that Joe Biden could barely function, and yet they covered up his condition until it exploded into public view in last week’s debate. The Democrats didn’t care about Biden’s dementia until public knowledge of it threatened his re-election.
Which raises the question: Don’t the Democrats think it is dangerous for the U.S. not to have a functioning president? Isn’t it unpatriotic to help to perpetuate in office a president long gone in dementia?
The Democrats don’t think so, because they believe it doesn’t really matter who is president, as long as he is a Democrat.

A week after Joe Biden’s debate performance sent the Democratic Party into panic over his age, health and viability in November’s election, the White House and campaign have offered shifting explanations about concerns in the days leading up to the debate — a damage control effort that’s fallen flat.
Now, people with direct knowledge of his debate prep process are providing a more detailed picture of the days leading up to Biden’s disastrous debate last week, clarifying the roles and responsibilities

According to journalist Carl Bernstein, several people “very close” to President Biden have related that the president has had 15-to-20 episodes of cognitive decline — similar to what happened during the presidential debate the other evening — during the past year and a half. Bernstein told CNN that these Biden supporters said, “There have been numerous instances where the president has lost his train of thought, can’t pick it up again.” The New York Post editorialized that Democrats and their “media enablers” have attempted to hide Biden’s cognitive decline.

The state of Washington has effectively abolished its long-standing residency requirement for voter registration.
The decision, led by Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs (D) and Attorney General Bob Ferguson (D), is another attempt by Democrats to cheat on the presidential election.
The Center Square reports that through agency rulemaking, Hobbs’ office has removed a provision that has been a part of Washington’s electoral framework since the state’s original 1889 Constitution.
This move follows a consent decree earlier this year, settling a 2023 lawsuit that claimed the residency requirement violated federal law,

Say, didn't the New York Times focus most of its energy on explaining away Joe Biden's stumbles as "cheap fakes" ... until a week ago? As late as June 21, just six days before the presidential debate undeniably exposed Biden's cognitive decline, the Paper of Record told readers not to believe their own lyin' eyes when it came to Biden's stumbles. Madison, Wis.— The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Friday that officials can place ballot drop boxes around their communities in this fall’s elections, overturning its own ruling two years ago limiting their use in the presidential swing state.
The court limited the use of drop boxes in July 2022, ruling then that they could be placed only in local election clerks’ offices and no one other than the voter could return a ballot in person. Conservatives controlled the court at that time, but Janet Protasiewicz’s election victory in April 2023 flipped the court to liberal control. Tonight is the big night for Joe Biden. Why? Because his last big night, at the presidential debate, was a giant flop, a huge fail.
The debate now seems like it was ten years ago. Joe Biden went on stage with Donald Trump and physically expired on the stage. He looked terrible, and he’s spent the week since the debate trying to prove that he is not, in fact, dead.
He is, in the words of Miracle Max from “The Princess Bride,” “mostly dead.” Perhaps a little bit alive.
So his task has been to prove he’s alive — and it’s not going particularly well.

How did something considered misinformation on Thursday afternoon become common knowledge by Thursday night?
The social mechanism that converts supposed misinformation into consensus is a topic that I have studied for many years. It involves something ubiquitous: the twin acts of misrepresenting what we know and what we want under perceived social pressures. As I explained in my book, Private Truths, Public Lies, such expressions of insincerity can do serious harm. The Biden-Trump debate and its aftermath provide a powerful case in point. Allow me to explain.

Of all the 61 rulings issued by the US Supreme Court in the term that officially ended Monday, the one most likely to impact Americans’ daily lives — and it should in New York — is one that received little attention: Grants Pass v. Johnson, upholding an Oregon town’s right to outlaw homeless encampments.
In cities plagued by street living, the negative ripple effects are constant.
Parents walking their children to school have to navigate around discarded needles and human waste; businesses suffer as customers avoid areas littered with debris and cardboard shelters; people risk getting mugged or harassed walking by encampments on their way to work.

It really is remarkable to watch the similarities between left-wing politics in the USA and left-wing politics in France. Historically, and in actual practice, we see this similarity as history rhymes and repeats. In both instances, you will note how the “mainstream” Democrats align with the communists to stop the majority of commonsense patriots. In the USA, Democrats enjoy the activity of their foot soldiers in Antifa (Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, or RevCom etc.) In France, the Democrats (NPF), within Macron’s camp, enjoy the activity of Black Bloc (the EU Antifa socialists and communists).

The recent Reuters/Ipsos survey showed that if Joe Biden were to step aside, Michelle Obama would be the most likely candidate to defeat former President Donald Trump.
The poll indicated that she would win over Trump with a 50 to 39 percent victory.
However, the same could not be said for other potential Democrat contenders, all of whom Trump would best in a hypothetical race.

Thursday was America's 248th birthday, where one should expect even just a modicum of pride in our nation from our elected officials. When it comes to members of the Squad, however, there were mixed results. As of late Friday morning, some members hadn't even commemorated Independence Day.
Perhaps the worst example comes from Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). Not only did she fail to mention the 4th of July holiday, but she still posted from her X political account to chime in about the Union Auto Workers' union take on Gaza. There were no posts from her official account on the holiday.

Former President Trump sought to distance himself from the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 on Friday, saying he has “nothing to do” with the initiative and disagrees with some of its aspects.
Trump said in a post on Truth Social that he is not involved in the right-wing think tank’s proposal, which outlines various policies and initiatives that some conservatives hope a future Republican administration would administer.
“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it,” he said. “I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.

I keep waiting for the news surrounding Joe Biden's mental collapse to peak, but there doesn't appear to be an end on the horizon. You can't go more than an hour without a new detail being added to the ever-growing scandal, and perhaps the biggest story so far dropped while Americans were celebrating the Fourth of July.
In an absolute bombshell report, which began taking shape over half a year ago, Biden's condition is laid bare, as is the ongoing cover-up that led to so many denying it for so long. According to New York Magazine, friends of the president recalled encounters

More Americans had a positive view of Russia than a year ago, according to a poll that looked at attitudes in NATO countries and elsewhere toward Moscow, the alliance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The survey by Pew Research Center found that the percentage of Americans who had a "favorable" view of Russia was 11 percent in 2024, which was an increase of 4 percentage points from the 7 percent last year. The poll of 3,600 American adults was conducted from January 5 to May 21 and had a margin of error of 2.1 percent.

While Americans were celebrating July 4, Britons went to the polls. Well, some of them did, at any rate. The result was a huge Labour landslide . . . with a shockingly small Labour vote:
Current projections suggest Starmer has secured this ‘historic’ majority on the basis of just 35 per cent of the vote, that’s five points lower than Jeremy Corbyn achieved in 2017 and only three points higher than in the disaster of 2019. As the BBC’s polling supremo, John Curtice, points out, this is ‘slightly below that secured by Tony Blair in 2005 and will be the lowest share of the vote

One of Andrew Breitbart’s enduring legacies is a simple yet powerful quote: politics is downstream from culture. We see this every day with liberal ideology permeating every aspect of our culture from movies and television to music to programming for children. But there is one cultural Alamo whereby artists are still defending and fighting for the ideals we hold so close to our hearts: faith, family, freedom. That Alamo is country music and as famed Nashville songwriter Jeffrey Steele notes, it is “the last bastion of free speech.”

President Biden’s reelection campaign on Friday announced a $50 million ad blitz that will air in battleground states this month, signaling the president’s commitment to remaining in the race despite growing calls for the 81-year-old to drop out.
During last month’s debate, Biden struggled to form coherent sentences and, at times, appeared downright confused. Biden’s debate performance has caused widespread panic among Democrats, leading to calls from major Democratic donors and at least three House Democrats for Biden to drop out of the race.
Still, Biden said he’s “not going anywhere”

Well, I hope the French election on Sunday offers a faint glimmer of hope. Across the United Kingdom almost every constituency voted for lefties of various stripes - not just victorious Labour lefties, but also Scots nationalist lefties, Irish republican lefties, eco-lefties, Islamo-lefties and, of course, duplicitous pseudo-conservative lefties: you can get it in any colour as long as it's red. [snip] As I wrote two months ago:
Labour assumed the loyalty of its Muslim voters as it does the loyalty of its gay voters, but the former seem to grasp that they will soon be strong enough to do without the socialist infidels.

A New York Magazine article published Thursday described multiple instances indicating President Biden’s decline has been treated like a "dark family secret for many elite supporters," such as him not remembering the names of longtime friends. President Biden’s widely criticized performance in last week's debate has opened the floodgates of commentators questioning his ability to serve.

The main headline out of the UK is that the Conservative party was stunningly defeated. Not only was Prime Minister Sunak given the boot, but Labour swept the board. What also happened is that Reform UK, which is the MAGA party of the United Kingdom, won a large share of the popular vote (although that didn’t move the Parliamentary needle much). Still, I suspect that the UK is on the glide path to what we’ve already seen in Italy, France, and the Netherlands—namely, unhappy people of all races but shared values giving the boot to open borders and Islamism.

Keir Starmer, a 61-year-old former human rights lawyer, became the prime minister of Britain on Friday after the Labour Party won the general election, ousting Conservative prime minister Rishi Sunak.
The Labour Party won a dominant position in British politics, securing its majority by adding 210 seats. It now commands 410 seats in the 650-seat parliament. The Conservatives, by comparison, lost 250 lawmakers.
“Across our country, people will be waking up to the news that a weight has been lifted, a burden finally removed from the shoulders of this nation,” Starmer said on Friday, adding that the country now has an opportunity to “get its future back”

With Joe Biden’s mental health becoming a top 2024 issue, Democrats are in a bind. The June 27 debate was an unspinnable disaster. Biden can’t de-age, and it’s unlikely he’ll get better as the campaign season becomes even more grueling. He was still gassed after nearly two weeks of rest and vacation following two rudimentary presidential trips overseas before the debate and still got destroyed by Donald Trump. On top of voters thinking he’s too old, some top Democrats and donors remain laser-focused on trying to remove him from the ticket.

After three and a half years of being lukewarm on Kamala Harris, Democrats are suddenly hot hot hot for the Vice President.
The party is in full panic mode as Biden’s facade of cogency publicly crumbles faster than Bennifer 2.0. Dems are now desperately trying to make Kamala happen.
It’s as if the gods were listening to that shrewd political prognosticator Drew Barrymore, who back in the spring had Harris on her show. There, the actress-turned-host did her signature close-talking to the VP and said, “We need you to be ‘Momala’ of the country.”

Top Democrats are so alarmed about Joe Biden's ailing health some fear a shadowy cabal is keeping him in power so they can pull levers behind the scenes, it is claimed.
The astonishing theory was detailed in the liberal New York magazine. Its reporter Olivia Nuzzi revealed that even Democrat elites are stumped as to how and why the fast-declining 81 year-old is being allowed to continue his re-election bid.
Nuzzi said she had heard questions being posed by high-ranking Democrats on the east and west coasts about whether Biden is a puppet whose strings are being pulled by another group of secretive Democrats.

President Joe Biden is facing an uprising from some his own party’s wealthy donors, including an heiress to the Disney
family fortune, who say they will no longer fund the Democratic Party until Biden drops out of the presidential race following his disastrous debate performance. Abigail Disney, granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, who co-founded The Walt Disney Co., told CNBC on Thursday that she plans to withhold donations to the party she has funded for years until Biden drops out. The president has said he has no plans to withdraw from the race, despite calls for him to do so.

Former President Donald Trump issued a challenge to Joe Biden via Truth Social on July 4th.
Trump proposes a one-on-one, no-holds-barred debate to discuss the future of America. The former president’s call for this unconventional debate format promises a direct, unfiltered discussion on key issues affecting the nation.
“I have the answer to the Crooked Joe Biden Incompetence Puzzle — Let’s do another Debate,” wrote Trump. He envisions an all-out discussion with just him and Biden on stage.

Joe Biden is too old and slow to be president. There is only one way to counter this since Biden can’t de-age: he must go out in public and do as many media hits as possible. What about trip-ups? Well, that’s the problem. If he hides, he reinforces that devastating poll showing that 72 percent think he’s too old to be president. If he goes out there and has another mental stumble, it could end his presidency. Both paths can lead to election-killing endings for the Biden administration. As we approach the period where the 2024 cycle kicks into high gear,

Talk about failing upward. Recent reports that everyone’s favorite Vice President is about to enjoy a major career enhancement should remove any doubt of a divine power intent upon intervening on America’s behalf. Nixon had his Ford insurance policy to shield against impeachment. The thought of that dummy becoming president was supposed to shield against Nixon’s enemies defenestrating him. How well did that work out? Saint Kamala of California was supposed to be Biden’s Ford. It is beginning to look like this analogy is becoming more true than anyone could have anticipated.

POTATUS (hat tip to BEEGE WELBORN of Hot Air) is suddenly persona non grata after his strabismus-inducing debate performance. Well, maybe not so suddenly. Everyone with a scintilla of firing neurons knew that Joe Biden was not all there. Excuses to the contrary fall on bored and jaded ears. The media made their Biden-bed and now that they are forced to lie in it, they pretend that we put the bedbugs in it. No, their own dirt attracted those bedbugs, so they have no excuse for blaming anyone else.

Joe Biden sat down for a pre-recorded interview with black-owned Philly-based radio station WURD to discuss his campaign strategy after his disastrous debate.
Biden did two pre-recorded radio interviews following last week’s debate – one with Wisconsin-based WAUK and the other with Philly-based WURD.
Both interviews aired on Thursday morning.
Biden’s wires got crossed as he tried to boast about his VP Kamala Harris and his days serving as Obama’s Vice President.

As we reported, Team Biden thought a good way to calm the public after the president’s faceplant of a debate last Thursday would be to sit for an interview with former Clinton official and Democrat sycophant George Stephanopoulos over on ABC.
The original plan was to show excerpts of the interview on Friday and then release the full pre-taped (because the president can’t even do it live) remarks on Sunday—but that plan has now been scrapped.
ABC has now announced that the entire interview will air Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern, with a preview played beforehand on “World News Tonight with David Muir” at 6:30 p.m.

President Joe Biden walked before a row of flags and took his place at a lectern stamped with the presidential seal. A few feet in front of him, thin panes of teleprompter glass, programmed with prewritten remarks, were positioned to meet his stare as he spoke into a microphone that would carry his voice through a soundsystem. His White House press secretary looked on. So did several senior White House officials. Anxiety clung to the humid summer air. What the president was about to say might determine the future of his presidency and perhaps the Republic itself.
Yet this was not to be some grand pronouncement about war or peace

Former President Donald Trump unleashed in a savage Fourth of July post, wishing a happy Independence Day to all, including some he described as “our highly incapable ‘President’ and Vice President Kamala Harris, even mentioning the “Great Willie Brown of San Francisco.”
Trump began, after previously sharing inspirational Independence Day videos on his Truth Social page:
Happy Fourth of July to all, including to our highly incapable ‘President,’ who uses Prosecutors to go after his Political Opponent, who choked like a dog during the Debate but tried to pretend it was ‘International Travel (only 12 days rest!) and, when that gig was up, he blamed it on a ‘cold.’

It's July 4th, and instead of celebrating our country, protestors in New York City's Washington Square Park are burning our flag. The Pro-Hamas protesters think that the best way to "free Palestine" is to spit upon the country that made "free" even a thing.
The video shows a sign that also says "Death to all kings" and has a picture of both Biden and Trump. I wonder how they think the leaders are chosen for Hamas? Are they elected? (Yes, they originally won elections in 2006 -- but have refused to hold any votes since then. Not exactly a place that enjoys what we would refer to as "freedom.")
