A raspy and sometimes halting President Joe Biden repeatedly sought to confront in their first debate ahead of the November election, as his Republican rival countered Biden’s criticism by leaning into falsehoods about the economy, illegal immigration and his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection. [SNIP] Meanwhile, the 78-year-old Trump’s rhetoric offered Americans an unwelcome reminder of the bombast he launched daily during his tumultuous four years in office, as he struggles to win over skeptical voters.

Comments:

This is how the dishonest Associated Press is spinning the debate.

Didn't this writer from the AP get the word. It is suddenly OK to trash Biden and openly call for him to step down. You didn't need to write this sycophantic drivel. It's all over.

The authors apparently wrote their headline before the debate then did pick & choose to get things to back up their pre conceived conclusion. Unfortunately, by seeking quotes to match their conclusion, they ignored most of what was really said and how it was said during the debate. They seem to have watched a different debate than everyone else did based on the reality of what was really said by Trump and Biden.

Every coherent word out of Joes mouth was a lie. Leaving the journalists aside, no excuse for not doing your job as an objective observer, but I am betting this writer speaks for many of my friends who have resisted exposure to anything other than The View, NPR, Huff Post, and late night TV. They have no clue about the facts and drink whatever kool-aid they’re served up from ideologs and idiots. It will take them awhile to process what they saw last night. Or they may resort to the comfort of their orange man bad blanket.

There’s a young social media influencer, harry sisson, and he put out a tweet that said the same thing, obviously with less words. He’s getting ridiculed on X, it’s hilarious. The main point is that harry is paid for his enthusiasm but someone forgot to send him the memo about replacing joe.

I didn't read the article. I didn't watch the debate. I doubt anyone was reminded of any "chaos" during Trump's time in office. I think what they remembered was a full employment economy, energy independence and a more secure border while Trump was President.

How long until the same doctrine is being

Gag orders, constitutionally dubious, are meant to protect the integrity of a judicial proceeding. However, even with the trial over, the gag orders imposed on former President Trump are not going away. DA Bragg’s office (which had just freed the antisemitic Columbia Hamas rioters) demanded a continuation of the gag order which prohibits him from commenting on the individuals involved in the trial. Since Trump is also running for president and Biden is spending $50 million to attack him over the various Democrat trials imposed on him, this effectively bans a presidential candidate from debating a campaign issue.

A mob in north-western Pakistan has broken into a police station, snatched a man who was held there and then lynched him over allegations that he had desecrated Islam's holy book, the Koran. The dead man, Mohammad Ismail, was a tourist who had been staying at a hotel in the town when a gang of locals turned on him and accused him of blasphemy. The attackers also torched the station in Madyan, a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and burned police vehicles parked there, according to local police officials.

Military personnel could find laboratory grown meat in their ration packs as Pentagon bosses scratch around for ways to reduce their impact on climate change. Bioengineering company BioMADE came up with the idea after receiving $500 million in Defense department funding to reduce its carbon footprint. But their plan to roll out 'cell based meat' has left a nasty taste in the mouth of veterans who have accused Pentagon bosses of treating front line soldiers like 'lab rats'.

There is no point in invoking morality, decency, or any suchlike stuff, in appealing to the pro-Palestinian groups that have been spewing their antisemitic venom on campuses from sea to shining sea to cease and desist. But a just-announced lawsuit against two of those groups could lead to a possible hit to their pocketbook. [SNIP] Now a group of nine victims of Hamas’ attacks on October 7 are suing two of the most important anti-Israel groups on American campuses, the umbrella groups National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJUP) and American Muslims For Palestine (AMP), for aiding Hamas as “collaborators and propagandists.”

When Israel took out a top Hamas terrorist, Hady Amr warned that “every Israeli” would pay. And that America would too. That was less than a year after 9/11. By Oct 7, when Hamas launched its murderous ethnic cleansing assault, Amr had become Biden’s Special Envoy to the ‘Palestinians’. [SNIP] During his moments of banter, Jagger referenced the 22-year gap between Cleveland shows and the band’s first local show at Public Hall in 1964. He also shouted out the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and suggested that everyone in attendance vote in the big U.S. election in November. “It may be the last time you get to vote,” he said ominously, drawing murmurs from the crowd.

A brutal Venezuelan sex-trafficking gang is now in America's biggest cities. Chinese organized crime syndicates running drug farms with slave labor in half a dozen US states. And Mexican drug cartels are operating vile human smuggling operations over the southern border with near impunity. On Tuesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended eight alleged ISIS operatives in Los Angeles, New York City and Philadelphia. The thread tying all of these imminent public safety and national security threats together is a runway illegal immigration crisis exposing America to an invasion of 'ghost' criminals, paramilitary foot soldiers and potential terrorists.

Millions just witnessed the end of a presidency live on television. Joe Biden’s performance during the debate was embarrassing. Whenever CNN put him up on the split screen, he had a thousand-yard stare. He didn’t look old. He looked ancient. He looked empty. But at least he wasn’t speaking. Because when it was his time to answer, Biden was incoherent. He said he “beat Medicaid.” (Photo) Asked about abortion, he randomly started talking about migrant crime. “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence,” former President Trump noted at one point, “and I don’t think he knows what he said either.” At one point Biden just froze.

California Gov. First lady Jill Biden drew backlash from conservatives on social media after President Joe Biden's presidential debate fiasco on Thursday evening, with one X, formerly Twitter, account calling her a "monster." During CNN's debate in Atlanta last night, Biden answered the moderators' questions with what his administration has currently accomplished and hopes to accomplish in another four years if he's reelected in November. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump deflected many answers and had little to say about the exact policies he would enact as president. Everyone, even CNN, knows that Joe Biden is completely lost. If anyone doubted that, the Thursday debate proved the point. And by completely lost, I mean that he could not maintain focus when asked questions, could not figure out how to look into the camera, and said many things that, frankly, made no sense. I flipped on CNN for kicks and giggles (and no small amount of schadenfreude) and was shocked by what I saw because, as we know, Democrats usually back their guy to the end—"to the pain," as one "Princess Bride" character famously quipped. Instead, I witnessed weeping and gnashing of teeth—and an execution squad.
