Pope Francis has denounced the arrogance of those who seek dominion over nature, which leads to the degradation of the environment. (snip) To claim the right to possess and dominate nature “represents a form of idolatry,” Francis declares, “a Promethean version of man who, intoxicated by his technocratic power, arrogantly places the earth in a ‘dis-graced’ condition, deprived of God’s grace.” (snip) This past April, Pope Francis told CBS News that climate change deniers are “stupid” to refute compelling evidence of a climate emergency.
“Some people are stupid (necios), and stupid even if you show them research, they don’t believe it,” the pontiff told CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell

What god (little 'g' intentional) does this Pope worship? It's not the creator which means he does not worship the one true God.

Pretty easy to see why this Pope identifies so well with Climate Scientists.
Both are completely ignorant of the most basic tenets of their religion and their sciences.

Wow, that was an interview laden with projection. Curious that Francis talks about idolatry. That’s the demon speaking using the language of “social justice.” In fact, it is the climate change adherents who worship at the feet of Mother Earth. Notice how he never talks about reliance on God? That is a definite tell.

So is he going to denounce Communist China, Russia, etc and how abusive they are towards the environment? The USA drills, pumps, refines, etc fuels, like natural gas in the cleanest and safest manner in the world. But we're the bad guys, right?

He claims to be a Christian, yet pumps out this Gaia swill. The Earth is there to be used by mankind, but we do have a duty not to wantonly destroy, to conserve and protect.
That does NOT mean 'no mining, ever' or 'no cutting of trees' or no killing of animals. But we, in the USA are far, far, FAR past the point of "raping the environment'. In hard fact, any car from 2001 on sold in the USA put out such miniscule, inconsequential amounts of actual pollutants that the EPA auto regs should have been PERMANTENTLY frozen about then and NEVER tightened.
Frank the Commie is also a Gaia worshipper, not a Christian. I hope this guy is gone, soon, from that office, and replaced by someone who follows the Bible.

I think it might be worth consulting Mother Mary about this "Mother Earth". This sounds strangely syncretistic, a little like when the 10 northern tribes mingled with the Baal fertility cults.

With all due respect, 'even if you show them research, they don’t believe ', Pope Francis, when we have been lied to repeatedly, it is not surprising that we don't believe their very selective 'research'.

I would like to say the Pope is not Catholic, he is a Jesuit. Sadly he is much worse. He is not of the caliber of the Jesuits that taught me. He is for ever speaking about things he knows nothing about and he is a hypocrite. He criticises Trump'border wall proposal while being safely ensconced behind the Vatican's 30 ft hight brick wall. He is forever spouting global warming nonsense which is not recognised by any mainsteam scientist.
He is an obnoxious liberal and knows nothing about what he speaks. Why is he so against the Latin Mass? AMex bnxh dcntpea sl;s

Don't read your Bible much do you, Francis?
----
"God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.'" Gen 1:28
----
This earth is a massive killing machine that destroys and consumes everything man throws at it. Name ONE physical thing or material that man can make that will stand the test of time and nature. Stone, like the pyramids remains for some time but is often destroyed by water, or consumed by sand. Even the pyramids were once buried in sand and have since eroded rapidly. They will soon be consumed by sand again. Planet Earth is a giant "garbage disposal," and anyone who thinks they can "tame" it is a fool.
