A Nevada judge on Friday dismissed the alternate electors’ case against six Republicans who were alleged to have submitted fraudulent certificates to Congress in the aftermath of the 2020 election. Clark County Judge Mary Kay Holthus issued a bench ruling on Friday during a hearing at the Clark County District Court that dismissed the case, according to courtroom reporters. The judge said she was not convinced by state prosecutors’ arguments that Clark County was the proper venue to hear the case, appearing to side with defense attorneys who said the signing of the certificates occurred in Douglas County. “You have literally, in my opinion, a crime that has occurred in another jurisdiction,”

After a mass shooting in Las Vegas in 2017, the ATF banned bump stocks on rifles — with the blessing of President Trump and the National Rifle Association because jeepers no one wants to stand up for gun rights or any rights when there’s an emergency. How did Rahm Emanuel put it? Oh yes, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.” And if there isn’t a crisis, don’t worry. The government will create one.

This semi-regular feature is usually about some deceitful narrative the propaganda news media are pushing in recent days, but there’s a high-stakes presidential debate next week and it’s better that we use this installment to anticipate what will happen then. CNN, the debate’s host network, said Saturday that both President Biden and former President Trump had agreed to the terms for participating, but the announcement included this alarming detail: “[A]s in the past, the moderators ‘will use all tools at their disposal to enforce timing and ensure a civilized discussion …'”

A federal judge in Louisiana has blocked enforcement of a rule in two states that required employers to provide accommodations to employees who want to undergo elective abortions, with the judge siding with plaintiffs who argued that abortions aren’t “medical conditions” that employers must facilitate. U.S. District Judge David Joseph announced the ruling in an order filed on June 17 at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, granting a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit against the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which he found exceeded its authority in implementing the rule. The EEOC “exceeded its statutory authority” in issuing the rule and “unlawfully expropriated

This is a remarkable statistic on illegal immigration that Bill Melugin is drawing attention to. “NEW: Per multiple federal sources, ICE’s non-detained docket has exploded to 7.4 million cases, more than doubling the Trump years, and it’s on pace to hit 8 million by end of year. Each ICE officer now has to manage an average of 7,000 cases each, an impossible task given the agency’s current staffing levels. ICE currently only has roughly 6,000 deportation officers nationwide, and not all of them work on the non-detained docket.” (Image)“The non-detained docket means not in ICE detention.

A federal judge on Monday issued an order temporarily blocking the Biden administration’s new Title IX transgender rule in an additional six states, a rule that sparked controversy for changing the definition of “sex” to include “gender identity” and giving female-identifying male students access to girls’ lockers and bathrooms. “There are two sexes: male and female,” begins the memorandum and opinion written by U.S. District Judge Danny C. If the Americans Mary Margaret Olohan writes about in Detrans weren’t victims of Democrats, their plight would be all over Hollywood, “60 Minutes,” PBS, and all the rest. There’s more than enough in the stories of young Americans reverting transgender body modifications and personas to attract entire teams of investigative reporters and creatives for years. It’s at least as big as the Big Tobacco lawsuits, the abortion industry, the Oxycontin scandals, and child sex trafficking. This lack of curiosity in a deep and dramatic story says a lot about our culture, our institutions, our media, and our rulers.

Breaking news: Conservatives believe in marriage and babies more than liberals do. This is not exactly a groundbreaking observation. But a recent Pew survey made news last week when it revealed that the political divide over having a family is not just real — it’s spectacular. It’s enormous. There is a full 40-point difference between the two sides on this issue! “The percent of Trump supporters who say society is “better off if people make marriage and having children a priority is 59%, compared to 19% of Biden voters.” Just 19 percent! That seems pretty bad. But what looks like a glitch to normal people is a key feature of anti-human

During a staged, scripted and rehearsed performance last night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden held a ceremony in Italy where the Biden administration signed a non-binding security agreement to protect Ukraine for 10 years. The agreement is bilateral between Biden and Zelenskyy, and unilateral domestically in that congress doesn’t have to ratify it. Essentially, it’s just an “I will love you forever” promise between Zelenskyy and Biden intended to make the people with Ukraine flags in their profiles feel better. Beyond that, if President Trump wins the 2024 election, he can just ignore it (which he will). You can read the agreement HERE – and the FACT SHEET

Former U.S. attorney Joyce Vance in a Friday podcast episode accused former President Donald Trump of “abusing the system” by using his rights as a defendant to legally delay his cases. Trump has successfully delayed the cases he faces as a defendant, making it so some are unlikely to occur before the upcoming presidential election. Vance on “Defending Democracy” criticized Trump while praising Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and special counsel Jack Smith for their efforts to accelerate the cases against the former president and hold his “feet to the fire.” “I mean, it’s tough, right? Last month, the International Criminal Court (ICC) announced it was seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Such a move, from a body with serious legitimacy and enforcement concerns, looks to equate the victim and the perpetrator of the October 7 attack that Hamas committed against our ally in the Middle East. Earlier this month the House passed a bill to sanction the ICC, with even some Democrats joining. Other Democrats however, would rather do the ICC's bidding, especially Rep. Mark Pocan of Wisconsin, who reminded "I am available" to do so.

As some Catholics know, Archbishop Viganò is a hero in the eyes of many who do not enjoy the spectacle of Pope Francis’ continual and seemingly ongoing reversal of Catholic teaching and law. The hyperpolitical, leftist Pope has been, by his own words, engaged in irreversibly (he hopes) and increasingly modifying (according to his own predilections) the Catholic Church since he took papal office. Sound like anybody you know? Viganò has been consistently faithful to Canon Law and to the established teachings of the Church, [Snip] Actually, if there has been, or might be, any schism, it could sooner be laid at the door of Pope Francis himself.

Former President Donald Trump’s new proposal to exclude tips from federal taxes is getting strong reviews from some Republican lawmakers, though major questions remain about the impact of the policy and how it would work. What’s certain is that a change in the taxation of tips would affect millions. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates there are 2.24 million waiters and waitresses across the country, with tips making up a large percentage of their income. A look at what Trump’s proposing and the possible political and economic ramifications:

President Trump has focused his 2024 campaign on a number of issues that one would expect, but he shook up the game this summer by issuing a new policy proposal: “No Tax On Tips.” While his campaign hasn’t released the usual detailed policy papers on it yet, the president made it clear what he means: “restaurant workers, hospitality workers, and anybody else who gets tips.” The Left responded immediately with what they see as the downside: by reducing federal taxes on tips, federal revenues would drop by a huge amount of money, or at least, by an amount of money that sounds huge.

A Democrat political strategist is confirming what many believe is the biggest problem with Joe Biden's re-election campaign: Joe Biden. The president - a week ahead of the surprise first debate against Donald Trump - continues to struggle in the polls, often trailing nationally and in key swing states. What's worse for Biden is that the Democrat Senators defending their seats this November are running ahead of Biden and even handily leading their Republican opponent. However, in the same polls, the consistently gaffe-prone Biden is either barely leading or outright trailing his long-time rival.
