Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's criminal trial in New York City, notified the 45th president's defense attorney and a Manhattan prosecutor that there's been another twist — a potentially significant one — following the May 30 verdict finding Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records.

They use the term "Cousin of a Trump Juror"....WRONG. Maybe a "cousin of a Bragg Juror", but if even ONE of the Jurors was a Trump Juror, the case would have never resulted in "Guilty" verdicts.

Hmmmm...very interesting thought #4 brings forward. Maybe the judge and prosecution fear a jail sentence is a peril for them. This makes for a convenient out.

Considering President Trump, as of Tuesday, had raised over $300 million in just 4 days, I can't help but wonder if they're trying to figure out some way out of the verdict. A verdict that's only helped Trump and Republicans overall. Brought significant numbers of new contributors to the cause, wooed Independents who are seeing an unjust trial, helped illustrate the unjust system many African-Americans have complained about for decades, etc... And energized the Republican base. I'm also wondering about how Colangelo obtainted the job. How does someone who's the 3rd ranking member at the DOJ step down to take a prosecutor job for Alvin Bragg? Did they go through the normal public employee hiring processes? After all, Garland mentioned in testimony in Congress the other day, he presumed he applied for the job. Which is almost laughable when you consider Colangelo didn't have the courtesy to mention anything to the boss about wanting to leave and take a lower level position elsewhere.

This is way too weird for me. Coincidence that it comes out on a Friday, and after the script is written for the evening news. In the offcenter political world we inhabit, it could be a Hail Mary pass. It reminds me of scenes from the movie Wag the Dog. Too bizarre. Too perfect to be questioned. There’s room for people to doubt, and I count myself as one of them. It remains to be seen whether or not it will be found to be the truth, or just another in a series of Rorschach tests of who is on what side. As Pontus Pilate said to Jesus, “What is truth?”

A mistrial and a "do-over" would serve the interests of the lawfare gang in a number of ways (e.g., tying Trump up in court again as the campaign heats up.) It would also allow Merchan to avoid examination of his sketchy trial conduct by a higher court.

Not sure any juror could be this stupid, and not sure why this took so long to be exposed. As others have pointed out, a mistrial helps the prosecution more than the defense at this point, so this could be Plan B after Plan A failed.

the jury was not sequestered precisely so that they could be pressured into their verdict. Not surprised.

Acollege degree used to be a reliable passport to a better-paying career. To employers it signaled a level of knowledge and intellectual skills not shared by someone without a degree. That's why students and parents have been willing to pay increasingly higher tuition, taking out student loans and second mortgages before the graduates earn a dime. But what if employers lose trust in a college degree?

The disturbing liaisons between Hunter Biden and a multitude of individuals allegedly linked to sex-trafficking rings have been known for quite a while. Jim Hoft wrote about that 3 years ago almost to the day, in a groundbreaking article based on material from Hunter’s ‘Laptop from Hell’. But now, the British Daily Mail is reporting on a new, previously unreported upon document that further demonstrate how shady money from overseas ended up in the hands and bank accounts of people involved in (or victims of) sex trafficking. Wells Fargo Financial Crime Investigators (FCI) suspected Joe Biden’s son was associated with a ‘sex trafficking ring’ and ‘falsified’ checks to pay prostitutes.

Critical information for investigating the Muskegon Michigan voter fraud in 2020 is being illegally withheld from public review. Investigating systemic voter fraud in the 2020 election in Muskegon requires examining the 8,000-12,000 likely-fraudulent voter applications submitted by Biden campaign-financed GBI Strategies in October 2020, but those files have been withheld from public review on the argument that they are part of an ‘ongoing investigation’ by law enforcement.

The discovery of a stash of cocaine in the White House became public because a hazmat team was sent in on the possibility that the white powdery substance might have been anthrax or some other deadly terror weapon. Were it not for the hazmat team’s highly visible and noteworthy arrival, I believe it is quite possible that the matter would have been handled with the discretion for which the Secret Service is famous (and notorious), protecting the privacy of the First Family. Now that we know about it, there are multiple signs that a coverup is underway to protect someone whom the Secret Service guards.

Joe Biden has dealt another body blow to America's gas car manufacturers after his stuttering roll-out of EV charging points was slammed as 'pathetic'. The Transportation Department told automakers they have eight years to squeeze another 16 miles per gallon out of their cars if they want to stay in business - while the fuel efficiency of their trucks will have to double. Friday's edict came just weeks after the EPA slashed the limits on tailpipe emissions as part of the White House pledge to ensure that more than half of all new vehicles sold are electric by 2032.

NATO is mapping out “land corridors” to enable US troops and other allied forces to reach the front lines quicker in the event of a broader European ground war with Russia. The move follows warnings from NATO leaders earlier this year urging Western governments to prepare themselves for a full-blown war with Russia sometime in the next 20 years. The newly established troop expressways would see American soldiers landing at one of five designated ports. They would then be deployed along pre-established routes depending on how a potential attack by Moscow would play out, NATO officials told The Telegraph.
