Dementia Joe Circles Back to Racism

Original Article

Anyone who’s ever dealt with an Alzheimer’s (or dementia) parent or grandparent knows the routine -- they only talk about five or six topics before they return to the first. By the time they’ve reached topic #5, they’ve completely forgotten that, only 30 minutes prior, they spent 10 minutes telling you about story #1. (Snip) It’s obvious; Joe Biden has reached dementia stage where he only talks about five or six topics before reverting back to topic #1. (Snip) Drum roll, please… the topic that Biden always “circles back” to is racism.

Comments:

I have come to pity the condition of Joe Biden and despise his family and handlers for putting him out in front of the world to witness his disastrous decline.

Racism is all they have left and even that card is falling apart from overuse. Trump’s rally last night should be scaring them excrement-less. It sure didn’t look like thousands of minorities think that he is racist.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott took to Twitter on Sunday to taunt the Biden administration in a pair of tweets as he faces a lawsuit from the Department of Justice over the state’s effort to secure its international border with Mexico. In one tweet, Abbott praised his border security for seizing more than 422 million deadly doses of fentanyl, which he claimed were able to cross the U.S.-Mexico border because of the president's poor performance. "Texas Has Seized More Than 422 Million Lethal Doses of Fentanyl Since 2021. More than enough to kill all Americans," the Texas governor wrote.

Israeli lawmakers on Monday approved the key part of a divisive judicial overhaul plan pushed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Part of the plan -- which was proposed as a sweeping reform by Netanyahu's hardline nationalist government -- removes the court system's ability to strike down "unreasonable" decisions by the government. Critics said it would mark a move away from democratic ideals. Supporters said it would claw back some power from unelected judges.

It is so hot in Maricopa County, Arizona, that people are being brought into the emergency room with significant, sometimes life-threatening burns. For the past three or four weeks of this record heatwave, people have been burned just by falling on the ground. “Summers are our busy season, so we anticipate that this sort of thing is going to happen. But this is really unusual — the number of patients that we’re seeing and the severity of injuries — the acuity of injuries is much higher,” said Dr. Kevin Foster, director of burn services at the Arizona Burn Center at Valleywise Health.

The Biden administration will release 1 million barrels of oil each day for the next six months from U.S. reserves amid high gasoline prices. The plan announced Thursday is an effort to relieve some inflation associated with rising gasoline prices and combat other supply shortages that partly stem from Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "This record release will provide a historic amount of supply to serve as bridge until the end of the year when domestic production ramps up," the White House said. President Biden is expected to formally announce the move at a White House event Thursday afternoon.

How might we change the premise of Social Security to make it fully funded, more equitable, and sustainable indefinitely? Social Security is societal insurance, not an individual retirement plan. It’s intended to protect individuals against income loss due to retirement, disability, or death. It supports disabled individuals, survivors, and children and reduces poverty. Social Security protects taxpayers across American society. Without Social Security, millions would face poverty, straining families and state and local governments, increasing inequality, and destabilizing the economy.

The California Senate passed a bill that would ban parental notification for gender changes in public TK-12 and provide more resources to increase parental support of LGBTQ pupils. While parents broadly support disclosure rules and have approved them in many school districts, state leaders, including the attorney general — who has supported lawsuits against districts with disclosure rules — say these efforts harm transgender children. In the past year, school districts across California have adopted measures requiring parents to be notified if their children request to officially change their pronouns, go by a different name, or use facilities or school programs for children of the opposite gender.
