April’s total solar eclipse promises to be a scientific bonanza, thanks to new spacecraft and telescopes — and cosmic chance. The moon will be extra close to Earth, providing a long and intense period of darkness, and the sun should be more active with the potential for dramatic bursts of plasma. Then there’s totality’s densely populated corridor stretching from Mexico to the U.S. to Canada. Hundreds if not thousands of the tens of millions of spectators will double as “citizen scientists,” helping NASA and other research groups better understand our planet and star. They’ll photograph the sun’s outer crownlike atmosphere, or corona, as the moon passes between the sun and Earth,

One of the many weaknesses Democrats have is their inability to understand the opposition. This was most evident following former President Donald Trump’s upset victory against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. Democrats were left shell-shocked and bewildered because they just didn’t get Trump’s appeal, nor did they comprehend how repulsive the former secretary of state was to ordinary Americans. Still, it seems they may get another crack at learning this lesson in the 2024 presidential race, if MSNBC host and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki is any indication. Former U.S. President Donald Trump came a step closer on Friday to reaping a major windfall from his social media firm after investors in a blank-check acquisition company approved a tie-up currently worth about $6 billion. The deal values Trump's majority stake in the company that holds his app Truth Social at about $3.6 billion. The windfall could prove vital as Trump grapples with the financial fallout of a string of legal cases against him, including a $454 million judgment in a civil fraud case in New York. Former President Donald Trump has just days to come up with a bond, a nearly half-billion-dollar bond, to ensure that he will pay the outrageously excessive judgment against him in the lawsuit filed by New York’s Democratic attorney general, Letitia James. Nailing Trump has been a longtime goal for James — in her campaign for state attorney general, she pledged to “bring him down.” Now, with the help of a compliant judge — in New York, Trump did not have the right to a jury trial — James is threatening to confiscate Trump’s assets before he is even able to appeal the verdict against him.

San Diego County is one of the largest segments of California's homeless population, with more than 10,000. Locals in Pacific Beach say that the vagrants have moved from the city's downtown to their neighborhood and are openly defying laws banning them from camping out in their vehicles. The homeless are accused of not just camping out but bringing in drugs and leaving their garbage on the streets, ironically right next to signs that tell them they're not allowed to park there. Debbie Turnbull, who lives in the area, claims that it's a problem of the city trying to take the homeless out of the downtown area.

More than eighty percent deny that the atrocities were committed, even after watching the videos sadistically, and boastfully, recorded by the terrorists themselves. The draft had undergone "many rounds of consultations" with members of the 15-seat council, and marked a toughening of America's stance towards Israel. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the UN, said the resolution's failure was "really outrageous and below the dignity of the UN Security Council".
