Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) gave us another amusing demonstration of his ability to humiliate Joe Biden’s unqualified judicial nominees during Wednesday's confirmation hearing.
United States District Judge Nancy Maldonado of the Northern District of Illinois, who has been nominated by Joe Biden for a spot on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, had previously signed a brief supporting a ban on "assault weapons" in Illinois state courts in the 2010s, yet, when he asked her to define "assault weapons,” she couldn’t.
“You said, ‘assault weapons may be banned because they’re extraordinarily dangerous and are not appropriate for legitimate self-defense purposes,’” Kennedy said.

New York City does not have enough problems these days. True, those problems are largely the result of the choices of the electorate, and for that, residents of the Big Apple have no one to blame but themselves. You know, elections, consequences, blah, blah, blah.

It was 1973 in Jerusalem. I was 21 years old walking through the Arab section of the Old City. I was sporting a massive afro and wearing an army jacket with the name “Elder” above the pocket, a gift from my little brother who was serving.
I heard footsteps, so I stopped, turned around, and saw about 10 smiling kids following me. I kept walking until I heard louder footsteps. I stopped, turned around, and saw maybe 20 kids following me. I kept walking until I heard even more footsteps. Now there were 50 kids. So, I stopped, turned around, and smiled, and they surrounded me.

Plagiarism gumshoe Christopher Rufo has uncovered another case of literary theft at Harvard University. This time, Rufo reported in the Manhattan Institute’s City Journal, the culprit is one Christina Cross, an assistant sociology professor, who plagiarized her doctoral thesis for the University of Michigan.
Rufo’s story cites a complaint that documents a dozen problematic passages, some of them unattributed verbatim quotes. Cross is the fourth Harvard official outed for plagiarism. Noting that Cross is a “rising star in the field of critical race,” a fraudulent “field” of study, and the author of The Myth of The Two-Parent Home, Rufo reported that “Cross’s 2019 dissertation, The Color, Class, and Context

An academic group, Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), obtained some alarming data. In over 200,000 cases, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) failed to file the proper paperwork with immigration courts in Houston, Texas and Miami, Florida. The illegal aliens were issued a Notice to Appear (NTA) at the border, which creates a court date. However, DHS never filed the paperwork with the court. The asylum process can't move forward without filing the proper paperwork with the court. The court date rolls around and the asylum-seeker shows up. The judge doesn't have the paperwork so the case is dismissed.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson says he plans to invite Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress.
What better way for Netanyahu to counter Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's completely inappropriate and disgraceful speech he delivered that encouraged Israel to hold an election while Israel is at war? Schumer most likely delivered that speech at President Biden's request. Biden doesn't have the nerve to be honest about his feelings about Netanyahu. He likes to point to several decades of friendship but privately he is stabbing Netanyahu and Israel in the back.

Good news if true, even it appears to be offered as an alternative to killing the last four Hamas brigades in Gaza. That certainly beats the ludicrous suggestion earlier this week from Joe Biden and his administration that the IDF could secure the Egypt-Gaza border to starve Hamas out of Rafah ... while the US airdrops food and medicine into the city.
But is this on the level? The Jerusalem Post reported it this afternoon, based on an earlier NBC News story:
American officials have seemingly greenlighted and supported the Israeli assassination campaign in Gaza and abroad, according to a report on NBC on Thursday, citing unnamed American and Israeli officials.

This is a good opportunity to emphasize a key point that is often missed. In the research and discussion outline yesterday, about Joe Biden’s EPA publishing new regulations for the auto industry, we dove deep into the background of what actually creates the issue. {GO DEEP}
The issue that should concern everyone is not the Joe Biden administration and their ideology around climate change, or the EPA, or even the viability of EVs themselves. The issue that should draw the biggest concern is how the regulation originates; what is the impetus; who are the beneficiaries?
The regulation itself did not originate in the EPA,

The victim, Nadia Vitel, was savagely beaten by the two perps when she discovered them holed up inside the 19th-floor apartment on East 31st Street last week, according to cops. Having just flown in from Spain, Vitel had gone to her late mom’s apartment — which had been vacant for roughly three to four months — to start prepping it so a family friend could move in.

If polling among Independent voters is any indication, Team Biden had better be very afraid. President Joe Biden, while riding in a statistical dead heat with former President Donald Trump, is not performing very well among Independents, a key voting bloc. Despite the full-on media propaganda campaign against the former president and the list of politically motivated indictments against him, Trump has managed to present a formidable challenge to the incumbent – even among voters who are not firmly in the MAGA camp. New polls reveal that Biden’s failure to win over independents might be one of the reasons why he can’t pull ahead of the Republican contender.

The Biden administration attempted to distract the Supreme Court from the voluminous evidence of federal abuse of Americans’ speech rights during oral arguments in Murthy v. Missouri Monday. It sounded like several justices followed the feds’ waving red flag.
“The government may not use coercive threats to suppress speech, but it is entitled to speak for itself by informing, persuading, or criticizing private speakers,” said Biden administration lawyer Brian Fletcher in his opening remarks. He and several justices asserted government speech prerogatives that would flip the Constitution upside down. The government doesn’t have constitutional rights. Constitutional rights belong to the people and restrain the government.

Some 78,000 public service workers will have nearly $6 billion in education debt wiped clean under the latest plan.
Last summer, the President's ambitious plan to cancel $400 billion of studen debt in one go was blocked by the Supreme Court. Instead, he has announced a series of smaller forgiveness options - but who exactly is eligible for the different forms of relief can be confusing.
So, DailyMail.com and GOBankingRates here explain the schemes so far, and who qualifies.

In The Matrix, what most people describe as “reality” is revealed to be a highly scripted illusion orchestrated by hostile forces for their own nefarious purposes. The hero evolves from being entirely enslaved to that illusion to seeing through and eventually overcoming it.

Of course, this being The New York Times, they are lying about everything, not the least of which is what we mean by the "Deep State." They want us to believe that when Trump talks about the Deep State he really means mid-level bureaucrats at the Marshal Spaceflight Center, and not the upper echelons of the FBI, NSA, CIA, and Justice Department.

The father of Laken Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student allegedly killed by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela last month, urged Georgia governor Brian Kemp to declare a state of invasion “to detain and deport criminal illegals” during an address to the state senate on Wednesday.
“I stand before you a heartbroken man,” Riley said. “Part of my purpose has been taken. God gave me a beautiful daughter to father, protect, provide for, and nurture. A man with an evil heart stole her life. He was in this country and this state illegally.”

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and 16 states on Thursday filed a civil lawsuit against Apple Inc. and accused the company of illegally monopolizing the smartphone market.
The DOJ and 16 state attorneys general claimed Apple attempted to limit competition, which harms consumers, small businesses, and app developers via the firm’s App Store and other Apple features. Apple has long placed significant restrictions on what can be downloaded through its App Store, saying that those rules are designed to bolster Apple device users’ privacy and security.
But the broad suit accuses Apple of a range of illegal behavior, saying that it controls automotive services and news services, digital wallets, and puts restrictions

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a landmark lawsuit against Apple on Thursday, accusing it of monopolizing the smartphone market.
The civil suit, joined by attorneys general for 15 states and the District of Columbia, accuses Apple of restricting its smartphone operating system in a way that drives up costs for consumers and prevents developers from successfully releasing products on other smartphone systems. “Consumers should not have to pay higher prices because companies violate the antitrust laws,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a news release.

Interviewing Elon Musk this week, former CNN host Don Lemon demonstrated the real-life consequences of affirmative action.
Interestingly enough, Lemon himself is an affirmative action beneficiary who miraculously hung on at CNN despite committing one moronic gaffe after another (maybe he’s just got television magic!). The only CNN on-air personality to handle himself worse was Jeffrey Toobin. Lemon was baffled by Musk’s claim that “if we lower standards for what it takes to become a board-certified surgeon

Florida Democrats chose to award President Joe Biden the state’s delegates in November instead of holding a presidential primary vote, presumably to protect the unpopular incumbent. But it appears the move backfired and led to a wipeout of Democrats in local races.
Florida Democrat Party leaders awarded Biden the state’s 224 delegates months ago and cancelled the primary, in a move Biden’s Democrat challengers called “intentional disenfranchisement” and said was “done obviously in secret, obviously to help the incumbent Joe Biden.” The lack of a statewide Democrat primary meant registered Democrats had less reason to turn out on Tuesday than Republicans, who decisively voted for former President Donald Trump

It’s another day that ends in “-y,” which means House Speaker Mike Johnson is preparing to surrender on yet another federal spending fight that allows President Biden’s border invasion to continue unabated.
On Tuesday, congressional leaders announced they struck a deal on a roughly $1 trillion package to fund the remainder of the federal government for the rest of the 2024 fiscal year. It includes funding for agencies such as the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security. The first package — which contained zero conservative priorities and increased spending — was passed by Congress and signed into law by Biden earlier this month.

Elon Musk again raised concerns that the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policy, particularly in medical schools, can lead to people dying.
“If the standards for passing medical exams and becoming a doctor or especially something like a surgeon, if the standards are lowered, then the probability that the surgeon will make a mistake is higher,” Mr. Musk said. “They’re making mistakes in their exam. They may make mistakes with people, and that may result in people dying.”

In order to appeal the $350 million judgment and hold off the attorney general from seizing assets in the meantime, President Trump would be required to post bond upward of $464 million, requiring what one broker estimated to be $1 billion in cash.

Is Arizona going to the Supreme Court? The Court is rumoured to want an election fraud case. It can’t ignore this very much longer. (Snip) These people, the forces on the now-bonkers left, devised their successful program in 2002 with four billionaires, and for twenty years they have been accruing power, building their system straight out to fraud and selling out to the cartels and WEFers. At some point along the way, the power they built went haywire and began to eat the culture. What that has triggered is a tsunami of citizen activism. Not the astroturf of the corporate left or international socialist left, but the real thing.

Unsurprisingly to those who follow this space, I plan to vote for Donald Trump in November. Not just that. This week, I'm co-hosting a fundraiser for him.
So, how precisely did a conservative who didn't vote for president in 2016 and didn't support Donald Trump during the Republican primaries become a Trump donor? The answer is obvious: Donald Trump's opponent is Joe Biden. And Joe Biden is the worst president of my lifetime.
Because Donald Trump is the nominee against Joe Biden, I won't just vote for him. I'll go into my own pocket to support him. Which is what I'm doing.

Why do so many Democrats and their allies in the media desperately want former President Donald Trump to stand trial before Election Day? The answer is simple: because they think it will help President Joe Biden defeat Trump and win reelection.
So far, the lawfare directed at Trump — two federal indictments from a special counsel appointed by the Biden Justice Department, plus two local indictments from elected Democratic prosecutors, plus a financial lawsuit from another elected Democratic prosecutor and a sex-and-defamation lawsuit financed by a Democratic megadonor — has backfired at the polls. It helped boost Trump

As we reported, in his testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, former Hunter Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski not only called out Hunter and Jim Biden for perjury during their interviews with the House, but he also lit up Rep. But Bobulinski wasn't the only person calling out Jamie Raskin and the Democrats for not telling the truth on Wednesday. He also got fact-checked big time by George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley. Turley busted Raskin for what he said about Turley's testimony in regard to the impeachment inquiry,

McConnell was one of several senators who spoke during an hour-and-a-half conference meeting, which was called by conservative Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.). McConnell spoke against imposing term limits for the top GOP position, calling it a bad idea,

American cities across the country are experiencing a massive uptick in homelessness, but perhaps none more than Los Angeles, California.
Skid Row used to be confined to a one block area but now tents and other makeshift shelters can be seen throughout the city.
Billions of dollars have been spent trying to address this issue but it only seems to get worse, and now one member of the city council wants to create a new city department to focus on the problem.
How many more millions will be wasted as this new government entity fails to solve the problem?

With the evacuation of the U.S. embassy in Haiti last week, President Joe Biden extended his historic lead for fleeing embassies – a dubious distinction once held by Barack Obama.
That’s according to the Daily Signal, which dug into the records and found that as the world has slipped into chaos over the past three years, the U.S. has been forced to withdraw from embassy after embassy.
“Since Biden took office in January 2021, his State Department has partially or fully evacuated 11 U.S. embassies via what are known as authorized or ordered departure directives,” writes Tony Kinnett. The number is

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign expanded its fundraising advantage in February, with plans to unload a barrage of ads against former President Donald Trump.
The Democratic president’s campaign account officially reported taking in $21 million in February, according to its report filed with the Federal Election Commission late Wednesday, ending the month with $71 million cash on hand. That left the Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee with a combined $97.5 million cash on hand as of the end of February, more than double the $44.8 million in the bank between Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee. Those totals don’t include either side’s joint fundraising committees.

Billionaire Disney investor Nelson Peltz is planning to back former President Donald Trump’s bid to retake the White House in November, saying that Biden has a “really scary mental condition.”
Nelson Peltz was less than enthusiastic about his choice in an interview this week with the Financial Times. “It will probably be Trump and I’m not happy about that,” he said.
In the past, Peltz has backed both Republican and Democrat candidates. But he said the country is “degrading” under President Biden, citing the unprecedented flood of illegal aliens that has overwhelmed many states and cities, forcing local governments to slash spending on essential services to U.S. citizens, like policing.
