Joe Biden shied away in jest from confirming or denying his relationship with Taylor Swift during a Monday night appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, The president, 81, joked that a potential endorsement from the world's most famous singer remains a 'classified' matter. Biden is suffering from record low approval numbers, and is therefore using every tool in his arsenal to reach out to voters ahead of November. To that end, there is a semi-viral online conspiracy theory that the president and his campaign will utilize Swift and her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce's potential endorsements to reach Gen-Zers, NFL fans, and everyone in between to swing the election for Democrats.

The Uniparty in Congress is once again engaged in its recurring haggling over how to avoid a government shutdown, with the next deadline set to arrive in a matter of days. Everybody says the House Republicans must lead on the process. I suggest that the Republicans do just that: lead. It will take some nerve, something congressional Republicans almost never show. Note that government shutdowns always loom, and ominously. They never arise on the horizon like the beautiful, hopeful sunrise that they really signify. Just imagine a smaller, less intrusive federal government doing less economic and social damage!

The Supreme Court will not throw Donald Trump off the ballot through some sort of deus ex MSNBCmachina, and Trump’s polls are improving while President Crusty’s are getting worse, so we face the real possibility of Donald Trump winning the presidency. Obviously, it’s not a done deal, but it is a bigger possibility than it used to be. Well, the Democrats are facing it, and now they’re trying to figure out how to stop him from taking office if and when he wins the election. This is a really bad idea. But of course, the Democrat Party is the Party of Bad Ideas, and the Party of Nanny Fascism.

A 2018 Investigation from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram shed light on more than 400 allegations of abuse across 160 churches. At First Baptist of Hammond, protesters are demanding transparency from the current pastor and a move to formally denounce past leaders. Scripps News reached out to the First Baptist of Hammond. They didn't reply to our request for an interview but did send us a statement saying:

The Supreme Court told President Joe Biden that he didn’t have the authority to forgive student loan debt. But he did anyway, bragging that the Court “didn’t stop me.” So why do we even have a legislative branch and a high court if the president is going to make law as if he were a king? It’s Biden’s party, and its activist media, that has been carping for years about losing “our democracy.” Yet when a Democratic president bypasses the checks and balances that are the backbone of our republic, the three co-equal branches framework of government that is intended to guard against descending into a dictatorship, they celebrate

President Joe Biden joked that Donald Trump is 'about as old as I am' and blamed his predecessor for the crisis at the US-Mexico border in an interview with Seth Meyers Monday. Biden's visit to Meyers' NBC 10th anniversary 'Late Night' had already made headlines when the president told a media member he believed there would be a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas within a week while getting ice cream with the host. The liberal-leaning host Meyers questioned the president about that but also pressed him on concerns about his age, with a majority of voters believing he's too old to run the country

For decades, American sports fans welcomed Bob Costas into their homes with open arms as he offered thoughtful commentary and analysis in regard to sports. That entire time, the veteran TV personality apparently held a deep personal hatred for so many of us. On Sunday during an interview on CNN, Costas referred to people who support former President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House — people who need immediate relief from inflation and illegal immigrant crime — as “toxic” and delusional.” The comments were made as the 71-year-old attacked Trump while speaking to network host Michael Smerconish.

Donald Trump Jr. received a letter on Monday containing an unidentified white powder that came out when the letter was opened, the Daily Beast reported, citing "three sources familiar with the matter." Don Jr. also spoke about the white powder in a conversation with the Daily Caller. Fire trucks and respondents with hazmat suits were seen in photos at the home in Jupiter, Florida. As of Monday night, it is still not clear what the powder was, given that the report was "inconclusive." As a spokesperson for Don Jr. told the Daily Beast, "[t]he test results of the substance came up inconclusive on what it was exactly,

Sometimes, a story comes along that really burns one's bacon. This is one of those. The subject of the story is one Leonal Moreno, an immigrant (I have been unable to determine whether he is here legally or illegally) from Venezuela and an "influencer" (as if you needed another reason to loathe that word) who openly brags about living off the American taxpayer and shouts to raise support for the Times Square shooter. In other words, Leonal Moreno is a parasite and an advocate for attempted murder. He says: "I invite you to find [his] mother and [for] all of us to unite to pay the fines

Donald Trump and his sons have appealed the stupefying $454 million (including interest) New York civil fraud judgment determined by Judge Arthur Engoron. The former president was accused of inflating the value of his assets to obtain better financing and deals for his properties. It is unclear as of this writing whether Trump has posted bond, which according to law could require the full amount of the massive fine. Trump and his lawyers argued that the judge clearly overstepped his bounds: The former president’s lawyers filed notices of appeal Monday asking the state’s mid-level appeals court to overturn Judge Arthur Engoron’s Feb. 16 verdict

In the small town of Calhoun, Georgia, the Timms family has found itself embroiled in a heart-wrenching legal battle that further exposes the profound flaws within the state’s child welfare agency. The ordeal began when Brady and Carrie Timms’ three-month-old son Jameson was forcibly removed from their care following medical visits that quickly spiraled into a misdiagnosis and false accusations that brought about their current nightmare. The story begins in November 2022 with a high-risk pregnancy that brought Jameson into the world at only 37 weeks. When the child was about six weeks old, Brady and Carrie noticed some strange reddish marks on his body. They took Jameson to their pediatrician,

One of the things that’s been vexing for many conservatives is how passive the Republican National Committee has been when it comes to the lawfare being waged against Donald Trump. Don’t they understand that Trump is the trial balloon and that, if the lawfare against him is successful, it’ll be used against all Republicans? (Snip) [B]lue-state politicians may have the satisfaction of “sticking it” to Messrs. Trump and Musk, but the loss to those states will be significant. The damage to the legal fabric of the country will be even worse. A dispassionate justice system is at the heart of American exceptionalism,

A judge has determined that Nathan Wade’s former law partner and divorce lawyer must tell the court what he knows about the special prosecutor’s relationship with District Attorney Fani Willis – a decision that could produce more bombshell testimony as defense attorneys seek to disqualify the DA from prosecuting the Fulton County election interference case. Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee’s chambers notified attorneys in the case by email late Monday that certain communications Terrence Bradley had with Wade are not protected by attorney-client privilege, according to numerous people who read the email. Bradley could be compelled to testify as soon as Tuesday afternoon.
